Gautam Gambhir was the man who deserves more praise for winning 2011 WC.He came to play in such stressful situation.Imagine that it's a World Cup final and that too held in India,going out to bat when team score is at 0 for 1 wicket(Sehwag's wicket) and that too in the final.Just think about the the tension in our minds and in his mind.Just imagine the situation!!!He played that knock under such difficult circumstances.Also many are ignoring Kohli.He just scored 34 but this contribution was massive at that time.He was a very young player at that time and and going out to bat when team score is just 31 for 2 wickets(Sachin's wicket).Imagine the situation!!!GG and VK rescued team India from such batting troubles.Dhoni had played a perfect captain knock in the final.But people who just praise him have to remember that when Dhoni came out to bat India was revived from a such a bad situation by Gambhir and Kohli. Yuvraj is slightly overrated though. I get he went through cancer, but we didn't know it back then and still got 4 MOTM and then MOTS for same performances, three of which were against WI, Ireland and Netherlands. I think Man of the Series should have been Dilshan (500 runs + 7 wickets), because mostly they are from losing sides. Gambhir is praised more than Dhoni, I've experienced. He is not unsung. Gautam Gambhir was the man who deserves more praise for winning 2011 WC.He came to play in such stressful situation.Imagine that it's a World Cup final and that too held in India,going out to bat when team score is at 0 for 1 wicket(Sehwag's wicket) and that too in the final.Just think about the the tension in our minds and in his mind.Just imagine the situation!!!He played that knock under such difficult circumstances.Also many are ignoring Kohli.He just scored 34 but this contribution was massive at that time.He was a very young player at that time and and going out to bat when team score is just 31 for 2 wickets(Sachin's wicket).Imagine the situation!!!GG and VK rescued team India from such batting troubles.Dhoni had played a perfect captain knock in the final.But people who just praise him have to remember that when Dhoni came out to bat India was revived from a such a bad situation by Gambhir and Kohli. Lol sachin has 2 fifties and one 65 in ICC semifinals world cups and a fifty in champions trophy final. He failed in 2003 coz of enormous target (360 which is nearly impossible to chase those days) and he had to go aggressive or get out. He has loads of important contributions in WC knockouts.

2011 SF vs Pak mein India 205-6 ho gayi thi in 42 overs..But ek lower order batsman (Raina) ne run a ball banaya with the support of bowlers and we got to 260..Ye kaam SKY aur KL nahi kar paaye Final mein even though India was 200-5 in 41 overs..Aur isi SF mein Yuvi batting mein nahi chala toh bowling se 2 wickets liye.
Aur hamare 2023 ke batters dekh lo..Bas ek kaam hai unka - Batting karna..Par vo bhi nahi hota unse Finals mein.
