    That shot at 7:20, and the crowd reaction, I think that's the first time I've ever heard someone finger whistle at a snooker match. And it was well deserved, that shot was unreal.

    That was crazy but dennis taylor that has to be the best bit of snooker commentary ever even before o Sullivan played a shot it was like if he knew o'Sullivan potted the red he was going for the 147 💯💯🇮🇪🎯

    He shoots the last six colors touching only *one* rail (pocketing the final black). The man has that cue ball on an absolute string this entire break. I could watch O'Sullivan play snooker all day long.

    Magic happens when hardwork, skill and talent come together

    • @andycross9840
      @andycross9840 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm gonna go one better than that and say the likes of Ronnie O'Sullivan only endorse the existence of God. Many people in sport (and music) have hardwork, skill and talent in their locker but only a microspcopic percentage you look at and can say ' there is something about them that marks them out as extra special'. All snooker players practice 5/6 hours a day at their profession, but only O'Sullivan can do what HE does. There is Lionel Messi in football, along with Maradona, Ronaldo, Pele, Best, Cruyff. What I am trying to say, is that there are and have been certain individuals in certain professions who display a prowess at what they do which is noticeably better than everyone else. That is not just the result of hardwork and dedication.......something else is going on there and for me it is explained by the fact they have been given a gift from God the moment they were born - the three attributes above nurture, harness and maintain that gift.

    I remember watching in 1997 when he made that maximum against Mick Price pocketing £165,000, it still stands as the fastest maximum in history 5 minutes 20 seconds. Only a genius can play the game like that. Then he made one against Marco Fu in the 2003 World Championship in which he pocketed £169,000. He missed out on one against Steven Hendry in the 1999 World Championship when he over cut the pink. The 90’s and early 20’s for me were the best years in snooker I mean damn they used to pay out £147,000 for a maximum!

    Don't feel too bad for Williams. I would much rather get beat with a 147 than have a 70 break, miss, and then lose 73-70. O'Sullivan almost duplicated the 70-point comeback at the 2023 Shanghai Masters, coming back from a 65-0 deficit to win 66-65 against the same player.
