Holy dump, when p5 first came out I thought he was going to do this in like a year, but it never happened, now he just finished p5r and Johne is already doing the secret boss, hell yeah
Not using other party members? is he nuts? I know it's possible, but jeez-
I think it's the most likely canon scenario though, in P3 Elizabeth requested to fight Makoto alone, in P4 anime, Margaret wanted to face Yu alone. So in a traditional sense, this is, for me, the most likely outcome... and ngl the coolest one.
It's actually not that hard did it at lv 14 just need yoshitsune edit and 2 other personas just a little prep
It's the easiest Velvet Boss in the series to solo, because of how OP the Personas are. Yoshi alone makes this a breeze, Johne held back

I remember first fighting the twins in the original persona 5 I had a hard time facing them,but in royal I didn't have too much of a problem with them and also looking forward to John facing lavenza too

johne ur screams during this fight scared me when i was making fluffy omelettes!
I loved this fight but found it a bit odd that it's saved for NG+. On the one hand it's harder than all the fights in the main game (except Lavenza) but all the dialogue surrounding it is hinting ever more that the twins are more than they appear. In NG+ you already know the twist though. I do love the roasting Caroline gives if you get knocked out in the first round lol

Hey Johneawesome, great video with equally entertaining commentary. I’m also a hardcore fan of this game and one of my biggest obsessions is fine-tuning persona builds when embarking on challenging fights.
The nice thing about this game is the wide variety of methods available at player’s disposal for challenging the twins; there’s no one right way to do it like the Elizabeth fight in P3FES but rather, many creative ways.
I myself went for a low-level challenge fight against the twins using only Joker and uploaded the video on my channel. I regret to say I don’t have commentary to engage audience with but it is my hope that my strategy gives new and old players new ideas on how to utilize the game’s mechanics to their full potential.

Many years later we still don’t know that guy playing the piano, base and the other instruments and this guy is some how in every boss fight and normal fights and he’s freaking everywhere I need to give this man a tip for his troubles lol

Best Christmas Gift I have ever receive this year
The nice thing about this secret boss battle is the strategy having room for flexibility; you can either fight them with party members or go solo. You also don’t have to use specific personas for certain roles; between the variety of personas, their traits, skill cards and other velvet room mechanics, you can mix and match for optimum results. For example, some people use Arahabaki for concentrate while others may opt for Rangda or Fafnir. There’s no one right way to do it; there’s several creative ways to get through multi-phase fights with some of them setting new records.
The secret boss in Persona 3 FES didn’t have as much flexibility; you had to have a very specific setup and there was no room for creative workarounds and it also didn’t help that persona fusions didn’t come with skill selection but were left to the mercy of RNG on what was inherited.
I really enjoyed the challenge of the NG+ third semester optional boss; overtime, I came up with a strategy that works most of the time with the only uncertainty being during the third phase as I’m at the mercy of luck. Conversely, I’m quite impressed with people who’ve uploaded videos showing they did the fight solo or in two party turns.
Persona 5 Royal has its challenges to be sure but I don’t feel any of them are narrow and have plenty of room for flexibility.

Also what about the Lavenza boss battle. Also if you do do the Lavenza boss battle, I would say the party members you should bring, if you bring any, are Ann for high energy, Ryuji for Fighting Spirit, and Mokoto/Yusuke for healing/Heat Riser All.

Also, in Royal, I found that using the Defense Down sprays and the Agility Down sprays was useful.

YES!!! I need to thank you for getting me into this series! I watched your Persona 5 series, and then played the Royal version along with you during this series. Played along with Persona 4 as well! Can't decide which game I like better overall!
I have Persona 3, but I'm having a little bit of trouble getting into it. I'm not far into the game at all. I'm about to go to the entrance of Tuataras for the first time. I know 3 isn't going to be as in depth, or intense as 4 and 5, but can I ask for opinions from people who have played the game (Without spoilers, please! lol).
3 is awesome in it's own way. It is less facing the corruption those around you and facing off against the forces of death.
All persona games are amazing in their own unique way,I played p3p and it was amazing(I'm going through ng+ right now)
Apparently Tartarus is people's least fav part of that game, repetitive and a real grind - maybe look up a guide on how to beat it time efficiently?
You might already know this and I may be wrong, but if you want a fast grind on the MC or any of your party memebrs, just take out everyone on the team to leave the MC by himself (or herself if you're playing portable) or just keep the party member you want to level up and the MC. I did this in Persona 3 Portable, but not sure if it works for Fes

I just managed this boss fight. I was level 53 lol.
My personas were: fafnir, for concentrating my magic attacks. The rest of the move slots are filled with passive skills to make him immune to attacks. The other was sataneal with passive skills and megidolaon.
17:53 You don’t realize that that evened out the HP for the twins. Justine was in the low health animation and Caroline wasn’t still not ideal but yeah.

One thing you missed on the boss fight since you soloed it is the twins can baton pass.

Every time I fought these twins, I was facing an evolution. In the beginning, I was absolute ass. The results did not change for the next 3 or 4 fights. By fight 5 or 6, I came close until they decided to clap my party’s cheeks with their stupid ass finishing move. And finally on Fight 7, my fight was finally won in my favor! It came close when Joker was the last one standing and he was nearly killed. I won by sheer will and luck on low health and dodging attacks.
I just got Persona 5 today and am SO PUMPED to play it
Enjoy it, try to make strong Personas, and complete as much Social Links as you can, but you already know
