Yes, it is really a conversation, between a daughter and a father who is dying and promises her that he will always look after her (from above).. and the last words are- sometimes we know what God is planning- so he knew his time was running out. That’s what makes this song sooo emotional and sad. One of the best singers in our area 🙏

The saddest part is that it is such a farewell to his daughter. The song was released just before his death. I will miss him very much. Rest in peace one of the biggest voices of the Czech Republic

Promiňte že to píšu česky ale Karel Gott byl neobyčejný člověk, který za svůj život toho stihl víc než dost a za jeho písně a skladby mu dluží miliony fanoušků po celém světě velké poděkování. Karel Gott nebyl jen zpěvák byl to i komik a hlavně to byl dobrý otec. Proto loučení s Karlem Gottem bylo to nejtěžší pro celý národ a pro všechny jeho příznivce a fanoušky. Byl neobyčejně pracovitý a hodný. A touto cestou bychom měl říct Karlovy jedno velké děkuji. A jsem rád že i zahraniční TH-camři zpěváci a další fanouškové ho poslouchají obdivuji a mají rádi skladby. Děkuji ti že jsi udělala reakci na jeho poslední vydání songu podle kterého se u nás v Česku říká že tato píseň má být jako rozlučka s fanoušky. Děkuji že děláš takovou tvorbu a nepřestávej. It´s funny, when you´re reacting on him :DD. He was on of the best singers in Central Europe. And for Czech Republic Karel was something.... He was most famous and respected person and for us biggest icon. He was phenomenal

Karel been sick (Cancer) and knew not to have long more time to live. With lyric leading her daughter thru the world even when he s past away. He sings he always will lead her way and shine bright as a star for her from above!

You get it absolutelly right. It´s really a conversation. Father saying goodbye to his daughter, because he knew the "god´s plan". He passed away few months after song was released.
He was barely alive in this song however he have second song which is ¨Ta pravᨠand that´s about his children and wife. He was doing those two songs as fast as he can because he knew he will die really soon. So ¨Ta pravᨠis the tip for you to listen.

Maybe you´re interessted into Alexandra, a german singer from the 1960ies. She did sing folky schlager and Chansons and had a quite distinctive voice. Sadly she was only active for about 3 years before she tragically died in a car accident. Her songs are mainly in German and French, but she did also sing in Russian, Spanish and Hebrew.
Songs I recommend, most of them rather short (2 minutes): Mein Freund, der Baum (My fried, the tree), Zigeunerjunge/Tsigane (Gypsy Boy), Accordéon, La faute du monde entier, Erev she shonanim, Ja Lubljú Tebjá (Ich liebe dich) (I love you), El Vito.

You should have watched it with the official subtitles; the lyrics are as goods as the singing (esp. when you realize that he knew at the time that the end was near ...)
The song is dialogue between old dying father and his "small" daughter. It wasn't like let's pretend that, it was for real. He went through terminal stage of cancer...

you probably know this but at that point of his life Karel knew he has only a few months left due to cancer. this was a way of him saying goodbye to his daughter. i didn't buy his music but he seemed like a genuine person. shame he found love and wife at later stage of his life. he is a legend in Czech rep. and Germany.

There's a dramatic soprano lady by the name Mónica Naranjo. Her vocal range is really awesome (4 octaves I think and some semitones) with a flawless technique and a colourful voice.

Borrow this from Katy Samii - she wrote it the best: This song has very sad background too. The songwriter is the guitarist of the accompanying band and Karel Gott and him had some sort of rift for few years. Then suddenly Karel Gott and his wife contacted him they need him to write a song for him. Richard (the song writer) is rather famous for very realistic views on life in his song lyrics and clean but powerful music without it being overpowering. When they told him they want him to write a song for Karel and Charlotte, they also explained to him that it needs to be written very fast because Karel is slipping away and doesn't have much time left. It was very hard for Charlotte to sing this song because it was basically her father saying goodbye to her. This was also meant to be his last song he ever recorded. Richard started working on it February 2019, then in May 2019 it was released on TH-cam and Karel Gott died 5 months later in October 2019

Yep, the old versions are the best. The new editions of the children shows from my time look terrible (3D stuff instead of the good old drawings) and don´t even get me started on the new tunes. I just hate it that they used these terrible new schlager singers (can´t stand both of them, music, voices and their attitude) for "Biene Maja" and "Heidi". :p For me it will be Karels version, always. Not a fan of schlager, but I like to listen sometimes to old schlager (not more than 2-3 songs) like Karel Gott, Alexandra or France Gall.

@@tylerdurden576 Leider ist sie omnipräsent und wird gerade von den steuerfinanzierten öffentlich-rechtlichen Sendern sehr hoffiert. Andere Künstler bekommen nicht diese Aufmerksamkeit. Mit Schlager lässt sich (zu) viel Geld verdienen, auch die jungen Leute stehen wieder drauf, leider hat die Qualität im deutschen Schlager stark abgenommen, dermaßen simple Beats (Discofox), Texte etc., dafür mit Zirkusnummern davon ablenken. Und einige Schlagersternchen wollen alleiniger Star werden, da springt man nach der Ausbildung an der Musicalschule ab, weil man da ja im Ensemble wäre und mit anderen um die Hauptrolle konkurrieren müsste.
Wenn ich da an die Schlagerstars der 60er denke oder wenn sie mehr in den Chanson-Bereich gegangen sind, das ist eine ganz andere Qualität. Aber nix für die doofe Masse.
Außerdem verstehe ich nicht, warum man das Biene Maja-Lied neu aufnehmen musste, Karel Gotts Version ist so gut und würde Kindern nicht schaden. >.
