When I was in college I took a classical guitar class (1990). I asked my instructor if he had heard of Randy Rhoades and he hadent. I brought a music book and asked him to play Revelation Mother Earth. He read the music and played real time. He got to one part and stopped. He looked confused as hell. He tried a few things really quickly and finally was like "Im sorry. What is this?". It was the whammy bar! He was as blown away by what was going on in the solo but not as blown away as I was that he could read the sheet music and play it perfectly in real time. Blew my mind.
