He’s on SNES. Genesis color palette limitations kept him, and the tag team mode off the game. It’s why the Genesis game got stuck with some hokey deathmatch while the SNES got the full deal. Sorta like what happened to the VS games on the Sega Saturn vs. the stripped down PSX games.
Yes, but its like most genesis fighters still enjoyable the best fighter that where ported to genesis where samurai showdown and fatal fury 2 ports as they have the best sound, but even then this game is good on all platforms even without that mode it's still a fun game, and yes I am a genesis collector
Samurai Shodown on Genesis was terrible. Granted no 16bit port of that time was great, it was either omit an entire character and lose animations all over the place, or have all the characters and animated attacks, but lose the character sizes due to having to fit someone who’s abnormally large.
The exclusive Death Match mode and being the only version with 10 selectable characters in single player instead of 8, makes it more desirable compared to the SNES version.

SNES was the lead platform for the conversions. It’s obvious when you look at how certain things turned out in both of them. And how the Genesis ended up either outright changing things or omitting entire features.
Voice samples are scratchy on the Genesis, but the SNES music sounds like it's being played from inside a toilet bowl somewhere in the batcave. Lightyears better? You must be having a laugh. And considering that the Genesis and SNES released in different decades and are separated by 2 years (the same amount of time separating the N64 and DC), it's frankly embarrassing that Genesis games hold up so well next to their SNES counterparts🤣.
SNES wins this no contest. More of the presentation made it home. The music is infinitely closer and sounds a LOT better. The game itself is more accurate on certain attacks. The only thing this had a slight advantage on is more voices, and that’s mainly because they’re so low quality it’s obvious they can fit more. On the flipside, That “great dark Genesis palette” on here is the reason the referee is missing, along with the team matches. When two of the characters alone take up half the color budget it doesn’t leave room for much else. The end of the first run where it shows the portraits of everyone beaten, the SNES had them ALL on screen at once. Genesis, had to do them two by two on a black background, once again because of the “great Genesis palette” making sure there wasn’t enough color for everyone. I mean if you loved the Genesis version growing up or it was the only version you could play, I guess it’s one thing to have a sense of nostalgia for it. But there’s no getting around the straight up FACT that the SNES got the more accurate and better overall game. This is not disputable.
Used to get blisters from playing this game at the arcade.
Did anyone notice *Chun-Li* in the crowd? When P1 makes his intro to the left, She's near the upper left turnbuckle, behind a fence.
Genesis version had Death Match. But still no matter what you play this on, it's still great
Played the hell out of SNES version. Playing this game is better than watching WWE now.
Yup. Sadly... -_-
😂😂😂😂
Played this game a lot back in the day.
13:12 London theme sounds nice on the Sega!
I do like that this, Final Fight and Street Fighter apparently all take place in the same universe.
Titan looks a lot like T. HAWK.
Best wrestling game ever. SNES output was better but this is great stuff here! And you got fucking Haggar
.
This has a similar audio to the Genesis version of SSF2, mainly the announcer voice!
one of the few games that where way better on mega drive then snes.
Voices are recorded right in front of a fan, as usual.
ECW Slammasters!
Lol these profiles are perfect 😂😂😂😂
Damn your Sexy :)

How about a Sunday Night drinking masters
This was pretty cool! :-D
Did they even try with the speech samples in this game???
Should put these characters in street fighter
BAH GAWD
0:09 - The "Capcom jingle" sounds so much better on the SNES.
Yeah, yeah, the Sega sucks is what you're trying to say?
It originated on SNES, that’s why.
Wow. This is such a pathetic thing to brag about. 🤭
#HitItLikeHaggar. Good choice!
Where's the referee? Is he working at the Punchout circuit?
Little ref only slides in for the count probably doesn't want to be crushed by 7foot tall 400lb men

Great game. Period.
4:42 haggar vs Diavolo
it is Just me, or the guy with a motocycle Helmet fights very similar to Guy from the final fight?
Lucas de Medeiros Ribeiro Not only that, but they have the same walk.
The lack of a tag team mode in this makes it not as desirable compared to the SNES version.

Gaddamn, Genesis audio was absolutely atrocious!
Fantastic game, though.

"Home Town: KIEV, RUSSIA"
Looking for Putin's name in the credits. 😅
Haggar from Final Fight!
Would've been cool if Andore (Hugo) also was on the roster.
@@moviemetalhead Zangief too, and R. Mika why not?

Awesome 👍👍👍👍🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🇺🇲🤝😋😊😊😊🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
Why is this game so expensive on eBay ?
Dont wanna be mean but i play this on mame32 and it looks a lot better and i used to play it 5 years ago
Of course CPS1 is a WAY better 16 bit machine than a mere Sega Genesis. It also didn’t help that this was a multi platform game at the time too.
This is strange.. Biff Slamkovich, Home town: KIEV, RUSSIA. Come on, Kiev is the capital city of Ukraine :)
where is Zangief!???????????
Zangief is like Haggar ; Haggar is like Zangief. Haggar probably Zangief's proto character. They nothing different.
hell no, zangief - street fighter, haggar - final fight. even cody poison and samurai made appearance in street fight. know your characters

Well duh, that's like saying "the sky is blue" - really, you mean to tell me that the game running on an expensive arcade board is much better?!?!

Super NES version is way better. Good Lord the sound is terrible.
Capcom games seemed to have a rough time on the Mega Drive didn't they.
