Far Canal that was brilliant! Happy belated birthday. Thank you for the tour of Speedwell, too claustrophobic for me to go in person. After the petrol stop if you had turned left immediately after Guy Allotts motorbike shop, who when I last checked was still with us going for his 101 birthday, was still rebuilding bike engines at 93 years of age and where my bike will be shortly for new tyres and service. Anyway you come out at 17:39 before Esso garage so I rarely go to those lights in town. Hope you rounded the trip off with some lovely coffee and cake at Wetton Mill. Fantastic video ride safe and happy the pair of you.
Hopefully working on and with motorcycles keeps you young. It's nice to find a shop you can trust with your bike. Yes, it's all a bit tight underground, certainly not for everyone but I took the hit and at least filmed it. After I rolled the end credits I sneaked a few seconds of us arriving at Wetton Mill. No coffee and cake but ice cream instead as it was so hot. Always good to hear from you. Best wishes

Anyway they'd chased this kid who was trying to sneak in,his mates were in but he had not got his £160 ticket, they were just telling him he'd got to leave the area and so I gave him one of my own tickets. Then they had to let him in. Good deed done and I felt great. All the best.
Good content very enjoyable. When I was younger and much slimmer I was always up around there going pot holing. never been to the Yonderman cafe must make the effort to go. A great way to spend your birthday I hope Carole gave you some of her cake as usual.
Pot -holing would scare the heck out me! Yonderman's is definitely worth calling by, its near Monsal Dale head top car park. It was so hot we went ice cream instead of cake!

Think we've done most of those combinations over the years but not tried chips there. (Usually brave the crowds in Matlock Bath for chips) Lots of great riding in the Peaks, just a shame it gets so busy there at weekends. Thanks for watching

In the IAM we use the acronym SLAP to judge whether it's worthwhile to perform a manouver: 1. is it Safe? 2. is it Legal? 3. does it give you an Advantage? 4. how will your manouver be Perceived by others? It was Legal and you can make your judgement on the other dimensions. Of course, if you did have to overtake cars on the twisties later, you'd have to give yourself a SLAP for each one 😂

@greywolf I recommend Esso Synergy Supreme if you can get it, supposed to be Ethanol free for most of GB my old Honda also seemed OK with the Shell equivalent. Not sure where you are situated but if you head into Wales at all make sure you start looking earlier than you would normally it's pretty hard to come by in my experience, at least in North and Mid Wales. There seem to be lots of Texaco stations, they do 'do' one but I'm yet to find a Texaco in Wales that has it, even large 'Service Area' ones that you may think would.

Back in 2000-2001 I owned a 1998 Triumph Thunderbird Sport, a bike which I loved and never intended to sell. However circumstances forced its sale and I've Missed it all this time. I very nearly bought another one a few times but chose other bikes instead. Having been out with Bleary View on his Classic 350 reminded me that the Twisties can be enjoyed at a slower pace, especially on a machine with a characterful exhaust. Then TAYM showed one on his visit to Framlington castle, a standard Thunderbird model. My passion was stirred yet again so I looked and found one identical to my last one. It's making its way from Wales with various pickup and drop offs on the way. The seller sent me a video of it being loaded, you can see it and hear it on my latest upload ( that brief video)🥰

I'm familiar with hunting for Premium, as a rule I try not to use anything else in any of my bikes. I realise with the TTS it's imperative to only use Premium. I have Shell, Esso and Tesco filling stations around me and will need to seek others out before heading for destinations. The bike also has no fuel gauge but has a reserve, so I'll need to gauge range. 🤔🙄🫣

Yep, great food at that place. Yes the elastic band, there to stop the adapter dropping off! I've just bought a spare which is of a slightly different design. That clips more positively on. We've moved to doing the bulk of filming with the DJI Action 3 but still use the Insta for B roll and all our joint Audio. You going to the Stafford Classic Bike Show this weekend? We're there Sunday

Hi, we use Cardo Packtalk Bold to chat with each other, but the audio you hear isn't from the Cardo system. We use separate Hamo microphones in the helmets connected into Rode Go2 wireless senders, which transmit the duel coms to a wireless receiver mounted to the side of our Insta camera. It's a reasonably unique set up that sounds clearer on video playback than the Cardo does in the helmet when filming. Hope that makes sense. Best wishes. Richard
