This pie is incredible! The pie filling is good by itself, in pie, topping for ice cream, oatmeal, yougurt, pancakes, French toast; the list is endless!

He came to this country after serving in the US Army during WWI, and settled in Winchester, VA. By the time I was born, my family had moved to Vienna, VA, so I only saw him two or three times each year, but he was a big part of my life. He was a wonderful cook, but, unfortunately, he passed away when I was 13 years old, so I never got to learn or right down his recipes. Again, thank you for helping me to honor my Papou with your wonderful recipes!

Baking has always intimidated me, but since I started watching you, I have found the confidence to actually try instead of admiring and wish I could bake...what was I so of afraid of? The way you explain and demostrate your recipes makes it eaay for me to follow along. Surprisingly, I'm not a bad Baker after all..lol. Although, some of my attempts have not come out as pretty as yours , they tastes delicious and my family loves it and that is what is important. Thank you for sharing you passion and love of cooking.
