I saw the email come through early this morning and thought… Jon will be covering this!!! Thanks for your update Jon, and looking forward to more videos on your CES journey (we don’t get one of those here or I’d be lining up for tickets). Cheers!!!
I saw the news this morning about this product from My Arcade...lol Supposedly it is going to play over 100 games. If it is priced right and the emulation is on point, then they may be on to something really good.
If they make a bandai reto station like the atari one its a day one buy. Now i HOPE the bandai one has pacman from the 2600,5200,coleco, sms,and the nes. Same with every game on the bandai station.
@@TheNamesDragon Oh, of the mentioned ones? I am always of fan of more classic stuff making its way back into the marketplace. Strider? Rally-X? Absolutely. Plus, there are dozens more. The game list of this thing is gonna be stacked.
Gamestation Retro Go is the most interesting MyArcade handheld device that I’ve seen. I like that it’s including more games for each company together instead of the pocket players that are usually more about each company and game franchises individually on one device. I’ve always been hesitant on those because it didn’t seem all that worth it for just a few titles on one device, even though they do look cool. Seems a little pricey but let’s see how the quality of the device will be and all the games that come with it. So far I’m liking what I’m seeing included. Of course Pac Man is a classic and main selling point for me but I love Rally X being included as well.
@ yeah that game is very cool. Basically took the Pac Man formula and added it’s own twist, still as addictive in my opinion. I love those type of games.
Sounds interesting. I'm guessing a lower cost spin-off from the Atari Gamestation Pro with more generic retro controllers and Namco and/or Capcom games included. Maybe a bit like the Retro-Bit Super Retrocade :-)
Nice, but I still hope for new Atari Gamestation Pro 2 (or remix or whatever....) too, i like Namco and Capcom but I want only atari licensed console for my gameroom. (fan of atari...)
Hopefully MyArcade doesn’t become like Atgames with their Gamestation Retro, I don’t want to see bad emulation, they better not screw up Capcom and Namco Bandai games!
This is still all desk top stuff, still waiting for a company to compete against 1up and make some larger, more diverse and authentic looking cabinets for the home.
I do hope the collection of games will be a bit more complete - like all Arcade (Ms) Pac-Man games for example, but I'm pretty sure there will be gaps. And I also hope they won't pad it with Piko games again.
@@GenXGrownUphi Jon great coverage. Do you know if myarcade will continue thier pocket player pro or joystick player products ? Did they give up on them already?
Most important thing for this Gamestation Retro will be the controllers, Actually we can emulate those games from PC, but controls and mappings are never so adeguate. So please My Arcade, put a lot of buttons, a good Joystick and a steering wheel!!!
@@GenXGrownUp gonna dance around that are ya?! :) .. so I have the evercade ... ordered and cancelled the alpha ... I am a bit disappointed with the evercade. Soooo which will be the better ecosystem??
@@NotMuchHere I didn't get my hands on that Evercade desktop, but it looked solid. From what I've seen (aside from being expandable with cartridges), the comparable Bandai/Capcom unit looks better to my eyes, but I can't yet speak to accuracy or playability.
Tell ya what, Jon, I feel like I'm gonna lose my shit if they put a Q4 2025 sticker onto the Gamestation Go (and that 3 button controller you showcased) lol. So much for the Q4 2024 release they gave us last time huh? Did they tell you anything about a 1.40 firmware update or you have to be hush-hush about that one too?
I'll reserve judgment until I see it. All the listed games so far have 8 or 16 bit counterparts, and i can not invest in roms I already own just in a fancier shell.
Table top arcade? Wondering if they are going after the Arcade1up Market now? If so, its too bad that so many of those namco and capcom titles have been used and reused so many times already. I worry that it will not be as innovative as we are hoping, but more options are better than no options, I guess. But with each iteration of these rehashed titles, we expect more exact authenticity and perfection (at least I do) so to see some non-standard table top version without authentic looking features will be a turn off. Atari Gamestation Pro is good for being 'alternate' hardware, but the nostalgic feels were not there for the little grey box.
I'm a huge MyArcade fan! Thanks for the tease, Jon!!!🙂
Whahooooo!
MyArcade is doing a great job for the Retro Gaming Community
Thanks Jon 👊🏻🕹️😎
Ohhhh boy!!!! This is gonna be GOOD! Can't wait to hear more about Gamestation Retro!! Thanks for sharing the love!
It's good stuff - and more details coming very soon!

Looks great! Huge into 1942. 😊
Can’t wait to see the my arcade games coming out in 2025 and at CES!!!!
I really want to get the Gamestation go and Retro and the pole position handheld can't wait !!!
I can't wait to see what they present at the show. They certainly have good talent. ;)
Mappy and my arcade on the same thumbnail...you have my full attention
Hahaha!
I feel my wallet is gonna take a hurtin' 🙂Thanks for the updates Jon! Have a great day!
Pac-Man death sound 😂
"Pac-Man death sound" made me chuckle. 😁
Good to see My Arcade put the pedal to the metal! Things are looking good for them in 2025.🎉
we've kinda had our eye on the atari one... so happy to hear there might be a couple more in the pipeline! can't wait to hear more about these.
Generally looking forward to that to release eventually (mainly for Namco games though lol)
This is definitely fascinating news! I wonder if they'll do this for Sega as well. I'm really glad to see them expanding their product offerings.
Need to refinance the house for all these new My Arcade products! 😂
You're not kidding - and you haven't even seen half of it yet!
Yes, over 100 titles from Namco and Capcom into a single system... WOW! When can I buy it?
I love your videos bro
Thanks for the update
Glad you're enjoying the content!
@GenXGrownUp yes sir 😊

That sounds right.
Amazing. Shut up and take my money, MyArcade!!
Ah there is hope... they list 'Rally-X', so maybe, the best Namco game of that time is on the horizon too (of course I'm talking about 'Bosconian'). 🤩
Yes Bosconian was a great game and it was Rally X's brother (sharing the same hardware), so... I hope too
In my opinion, Mappy is the best Namco game of all time.
Need a GenXGrownUp signature edition that comes with a digital version of Jon built in.
Gamestation Retro looks good!👍🏻🇺🇲
Awesome, now they need Taito and Konami! Great video as always, thank you for the updates!

What are your thoughts on the games that haven't been seen on MyArcade?
That's a long list. Any in particular?
@@GenXGrownUp Games shown in the teaser, like Rally-X or 1942?

Mappy and SSF2 on one device. What more could you ever want?

I think what you describe is ONE of the GSR products coming, but not all. 😉
So is Gamestation Retro going to be like Evercade with a home console, handheld and arcade form factors and you can add new games to it?
Not sure yet, but I think all games will be preloaded.
Look out Blaze, it looks like there may be some competition here 😮
Maybe we can get that previously shown new Gamestation controller for the Atari
If my arcade does a pocket player pro for the arcade final fight, i will buy it 🙂
Nice, but I still hope for new Atari Gamestation Pro 2 (or remix or whatever....) too, i like Namco and Capcom but I want only atari licensed console for my gameroom. (fan of atari...)
I want this NOW!!!!!!
I wish there was just one handheld device I needed to buy and just get addition software for it instead of being separate from Atari.

There are almost always gaps, and while I've not seen a game list, this is shaping up to be fairly comprehensive.

Closed system?
That does not make it better.
I expect that means "no SD card slot" - and was very likely a requirement for licensing. Just a guess.
