Disclaimer: I'm fairly new to Go Battle League. I've played Pokemon Go sporadically since 2016, but I've basically just been clicking buttons. This season, I've set a goal to reach Legend Rank for the first time! I'll be documenting the entire process here (probably won't make it though lol)

Figured that out after. I just couldn't understand why it showed "2020" ELO at first and didn't give me Ace. I know now it's because you need to stay above that for another full set and I didn't lol
10:33 you should have let him throw the thunder first and then brave Bird. I think you might have lived a thunder with good IVs.
yeah 100%, went back and checked after and I do live a thunder
ranking is based on elo, not number of wins. everyone has an elo regardless of rank but the elo is only revealed after rank 20. so, as long as you have won enough games to cross 2000 elo, you will hit rank 20. after that you need to play another set, and if you are still in the 2000+ elo you will get your Ace rank.
I understand ELO has nothing to do with the number of wins. I just don't fully understand how/when it's displayed after Rank 19/20 in this game. When I was talking about wins, I was just curious about the requirements between the individual ranks. That last part makes sense though, cuz I probably just dropped below 2000 after the initial reveal and never made Ace lol, appreciate the explanation!
