- I fly fish the Owyhee river in Oregon. I couldn’t catch a damn fish. Then I went over to Leslie Gulch, which is beautiful, but way, way too many people, so I ended up in the high desert of Oregon where it was very, very hot
Hi, I’m John and I live full-time for five years now in my jeep Cherokee XJ living the dream
Buy me a beer. 🍺

Living the dream brother. Don't get married!! 😂
I have been married once never again
Stunning scenery!
Thanks major there is a lot of beautiful scenery around here..
So peaceful looking
It was peaceful, boring, and hot, but it was beautiful
Nice video - super pretty gulch
Thanks, Barb. 😁
Awesome 👌🏼
Thanks I’m having fun in Oregon
How's the transmission holding up?
So far the transmission has been doing good, thanks for asking. I have been over quite a few big passes and no issues yet except I had to add some transmission fluid to it.
You could be making money somehow in your channel from views, plus people buying you brews? I don't know how, but many people do.
Lol there is no money to be made on TH-cam if you have a small channel like me. I can’t buy a cheap six pack of beer from the money I make from any of my TH-cam videos. The money I make from buy me a beer just barely pays for some beers I buy.
I have to say your transmission seems to be holding up. Head to the Eagle Cap Wilderness, Wallowa River, Troy, Oregon area. may be able to escape the heat and tag a few nice trout.
So far the transmission is holding up. I just had to add some transmission fluid so must have a small leak somewhere. I will head up to Eagle wilderness area when I’m ready to go back into Idaho. There is a ton of rivers here in Central Oregon I still want to flyfish.
It's hot everywhere John, I hate it, stay cool and safe, have fun. Enjoyed watching. 👍
Yes, it is crazy hot here. I will try to be safe, but sometimes that is no fun. Lol
Greetings. Beautiful adventure in High desert. Enjoy. Have a great weekend.
The high Desert is pretty interesting and different and hot as hell. Nothing like the Arizona desert.
Welcome to Oregon! hang around there is a whole lot to see here. Yes, ya gotta check out the Eagle Cap Wilderness.👍🏼👍🏼
I definitely will be checking out the Eagle cap wilderness area. I’m near sisters now and there’s a lot of rivers around I have to explore and fish.
Dislike campgrounds myself. Dispersed camping 40 yrs. now. Haven't looked back. Smallmouth bass on a fly rod, man what fun. It's like fighting acrobatic bulldogs.
I know in over two years I haven’t paid for a place to camp except on the Ocean. Just a 10 inch smallmouth bass on my 4 wt rod is a lot of fun.
Can't wait to see where you end up next. You have a knack for finding some cool spots. FT George is most under-rated brewery in Oregon.
I don’t know where I’m going next lol there are a ton of rivers here in Central Oregon that I still want to fly fish.
Finally got out camping and fishing this week. Terrible rain and wind storms but managed to trick a few trout to eat my offerings. Was great to be out for just a few days of what you are doing full time.
Hey Glenn, I’m glad you got out and did some fishing. The rain and wind is just part of the adventure.
Nice vid John, better luck fishing next time.
Hey Kenny, thanks. I will be catching more fish. 🤞
Awesome John. Cheers buddy. Can’t wait to see those bass!
Thanks, Steve all the bass were pretty small, but they were a lot of fun to catch.
Looks hot where you are. I have an 81 year old buddy who lives near baker city. He's owned a 600 acre ranch in the mountains for 40 years. He says he still hasn't seen every inch of the property. Very rugged countryside.
Thanks for uploading another videoJohn.
I’m just happy you are enjoying the videos
@@overthehillandoverthemount2925 They're great. I really enjoy them. I'm pulling the retirement trigger this year and hoping to travel around in my jeep.
@@knightrc awesome. Now you have to make good use of your retirement and just get in the Jeep and go and have fun.
Most awesome episode
Thanks I still have a lot of exploring to do in Oregon
