I haven't played in YEARS. I hopped back on today for this server. Doing the betrayal quest line to make my Troll Paladin was the funnest most rewarding questline I have ever done on MMO ever.
Just announced Permanent PVP Server to drop real soon!!!!! No more seasonal garbage, Come join us in EQ2's Discord channel (pvp-server-to-be-named) Devs are talking to us on and off and asking for input. So far it looks like it'll be locked before TSO, no guild halls and faction PVP, So excited!!!! ~Hype~
@@SinergyGaming Yeah they were a double edged sword for sure, on one side they were lots of fun to decorate and set up but on the other they kept everyone out of view and hidden so cities looked dead and unpopulated. Hope you decide to play and hope to see your input in the discord :)
We are under lvl 20 atm but was just thinking about you as well..what guild are you in? We are a loyal, down to earth couple and we're above average players. Interested in giving us a new home? 😉
once you get to ROK, wardens NEVER run out of power, if played right they are the most universal class in game, as a warden back in the day, i was basically top of the tier two dpsers while solo healing and no one dies in raid in my group. can do it all, with death saves galore after certain expansions. by the end youll have so many tricks you wont know what to do with.
Ty for the video- currently playing Coercer right now lvl 15. If you have time I wouldn't mind a video on leveling paths. Right now doing quests but notice my guild I joined is already in the 40s lol..

Drunken Fridays....hell ya!!! Gnome Necromancer, played one till lvl 84. Can say that when your group goes to shit the Necromancer will clean the mess. You you'll a pet plus spells that casts pet that last 30 seconds. Major damage

Are there enough players to be able to start now and group/progress? I want to try it, but don't want to spend $15 if there is nobody low level to play with!
this is always a problem with eq2. The population has not been strong for very long time. on this server if you're willing to buy group potions you will find groups very easy. if you play at prime time groups are pretty easy if u join a guild groups are easy. other than that groups are not so plentiful. i just leveled a necro from 1 to 50 in 10 in game hours with guildies and potions powerleveling so that is another problem... it doesnt take long enough to level so many people fly through it in 2-3 days doesnt leave enough groups for everyone

I thought you’d be my saviour and actually do the video tutorial for setting up DarkUI. But nope, nothing. I deleted it as my ui was a mess with windows everywhere with no titles so had no idea what they were for or what to do with them.
We have all spread out to so many games now I dont think the band will be getting back together. Between destiny 2, ffxiv, wow, lost ark, Elden ring there is just too many games to play
I know harvesting is always a good way to make Plat in eq2 until they come out with the pack pony. Creating gear for people to twink alts is my favorite way. Selling collection items is the most sure fire way of you like hunting for them. Masters aren't worth as much because of the research functions but you can usually make gold making expert spells.
I am told by my friends it's fun but I don't play eq2 anymore so I can't be sure. It's a great time when a new expansion comes out and you play for a couple months then it's a bit like for a couple weeks while you wait for the new content. Then awesome for a couple months rinse and repeat. Never really gets too stagnant
@@chris-wx8jc lol I hear you. Eq2 Is a good game but the classes aren't balanced very well. In wow if one class does 10% more dps than another the community freaks out. The community in eq2 is generally better so if you play wow you have to find a guild of people to play with because the random community at large is generally more toxic than eq2. The bonus is there is more people on one server than all of eq2
In original EQ2, when you were at Character creation, you did not pick a class. You picked 1 of 4 character types (Mage, Fighter, Priest, Scout) in the Tutorial. If you chose Fighter, at level 10 (IIRC) you had to pick a more specific class branch (Warrior, Brawler, or Crusader). At level 20 (again IIRC) you had to pick your final branch, your specific class. If you picked Crusader at 10, then at 20 you could pick either Shadowknight or Paladin. This is all from memory, but I think it is correct. I never understood why this was changed.
Sorry for being a little late to the conversation, but I believe the main reason they were running into problems with people choosing the wrong path. IE, why am I choosing between Ranger and Assassin (they accidentally chose Predator), I wanted to be a Swashbuckler (should have chosen Rogue).
@@RemeoSpes lol I remember playing the first time and going healer I had no idea difference between Shaman cleric or druid then no idea what a fury or warden was... I think the discovery was part of the fun but I could see the flip side of know what you want and choosing the wrong one

Wish I had come back a year ago. Took about 7 years off and now 92 wizzie on majdul and I'm having a hard time getting caught up. Rolling warlock on kaladim sounds like fun!

Guild halls were the coolest thing I had seen in a game at the time. I didnt know how destructive they would become but I loved decorating/stocking it

Yeah nagafen was the old pvp server. I don't know how the new pvp tle server is doing hopefully we'll.

Nope pvp died in eq2 years ago. Only recently brought back for the summer time event server and its free for all not faction based.
See PVP was beast on eq2. It's a shame it never lasted. Good ol days. Im still buying this game again

how can I make some decent plat on this server. I just hit level 60 and need to get some gear/masters
