👍 I’ve had the same fears sleeping near those trees. They are probably fine to be around considering that the inner wood is still sound, and that a live healthy tree could just as easily be uprooted and blown over in high wind. But ….. I’m still gonna try to stay away from them! Great hike! I wish I could’ve made it to columbine pass. Too much snow for me to get up there on my trip. Great video ! 👍

You're probably right about the trees. I've seen them fall before but have never heard of a single instance of someone getting crushed by one. I just read today that a sheep herder was mauled July 11th by a black bear in Weminuche. Just north of the lemon reservoir. Somehow the poor guy woke up to his sheep being attacked, was able to get a shot off, missed apparently, before being attacked 😱
