I found out today about your baptism. Congratulations! I want to tell you that we Latter-day Saints all need to keep in mind that the Lord wants us to remember, "line upon line, precept on precept" and "don't run faster than you have strength." There is a lot to learn, so remember to take it a little at a time. Your protestant background has given you quite a head start! When I joined the church I hadn't even read the Bible yet, let alone the Book of Mormon.
I think it’s an amazing idea and a great start to your newly found membership in the Gospel. I know the last thing you want is to impress others but you do anyway with your humble countenance. I think you’ll achieve this goal. Definitely.
its very obvious that you decided to join the LDS based on feelings rather than doctrine. thats not true discernment nor is it of God. the Mormon church was founded by a mere man, not God Himself. Now you are just part of another protestant church, but now you have left Christianity because they dont hold any fundamental foundational Christian beliefs. I feel sad for you 😢
@@theonewhomjesusloves7360 You obviously don’t know very much about the church you are criticizing. But I am glad to know you are “the one whom Jesus loves.” (In fact, He loves us all.)
As an inactive member and returned missionary I’ve been following your journey. A short time ago you posted and were talking about coming to Christ in the sense that this is truly what it’s all about. I found myself thinking of what message I brought to the beautiful people of Guatemala back when I was 19. The scriptures were brought out of the trunk, conference was watched with zeal and now the missionaries are bringing me back. Thank you for reminding me of the importance of putting Christ and his teachings first. It is becoming a feeling of (coming home) the peace and joy I get becoming closer to the saviour. As my Father wrote in my new Book of Mormon before my mission… Cherish truth, search and ponder. Go forward with love and honour. Thank you for your content . Tyler.
I’m certainly a prodigal son. When I came back to the Church, I finally rediscovered peace and found what truly satisfies. May we all stay with Jesus Christ, the Great Friend of all, I never want to leave Him again! In the sacred name of Jesus Christ, amen.
I was a Baptist, seeking for the right church,, for the truth, like you were, and the Book of Mormon just rang true right away. There is a spirit with the BOM, it is a true record of the ppl on this continent and Satan knows that. There has always been opposition and false stories about the restored church. Especially from other churches who preach from their pulpit the untruths and misleading stories they have heard. It seems to me there is always opposition to the truth, but the honest in heart can FEEL the truth!. You are a bright example of that! Welcome to the worldwide family of Christ!
You can't "feel" truth. I was LDS until age 37; now I'm Baptist and born again. If I had died while a believing LDS I would have ended up in an inescapable state of eternal torment in the Lake of Fire for my sins, because I rejected the simple John 3:16-18 gospel of salvation by faith alone in Jesus alone, as well as the (biblical) divinity of Jesus, thinking he was just one of "the noble and great ones" among the heavenly host, the same species as Satan, spirit offspring of a glorified human, rather than the uncreated Creator-God, member person of the eternal I AM. Sorry. Wanting to be exalted (to "ascend") to be like Heavenly Father (to "be like the Most High"), the way D& 132:20 describes exaltation and godhood, is literally Luciferian doctrine just replacing "ascend" and "the Most High" with synonyms. Isaiah 14:13-14. "There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death." Proverbs 14:12; 16:25. I invite you to turn from trusting in your works (LDS Articles of Faith 3 and 4) and your golden calf (Satan's brother), admit you are a condemned sinner, and put your trust in Jesus alone.
@@danthechristian6097 So glad you found where you are comfortable. Just be careful not to stake your salvation on one scripture. Consider other scriptures (quite a few) that discuss faith without works is dead, being alone. And Matthew 5: 48 where Christ said to be ye therefore perfect as your Father in Heaven is perfect. So much to do to become like Christ, but it's a wonderful journey as long as we repent daily, as Christ asked us to
@@danthechristian6097 I can feel the truth by the witness of the HolyGhost. The same way Peter immediately followed Christ when He called him. The Holy Ghost witnesses the truth.
My dad was investigating the LDS church and wasn't sure if he should get baptized. The thing that eventually convinced him was -- while pondering these things he walked to his dad's encyclopedia and opened to "Mormons". He read column after column of just awful awful stuff and was shocked. He realized that if there was this much BAD written about a church that he knew was so good and Christlike, then there must be something to this church; the church must be true -- there really was no other explanation. No other reason why it could be so vilified by people that call themselves decent folks. Fifty years later after serving faithfully including as a volunteer Bishop, he remains strong. It's funny how anti-Mormons can convince people of the truth inadvertently. Look at the fruits, as you say! As for my dad -- many grandchildren will continually and eternally grateful to him for his courage. David, your grandchildren will call you Blessed and cry tears of joy at how thankful they are that you joined this church. Side note, his dad said no you can't get baptized. He was old enough to decide for himself (18ish) but still wanted to keep his father happy. Eventually his dad said "ok, if you really want to get baptized then for ONE YEAR you have to go to all the churches in Auckland New Zealand where he lived, and then if you still want to be baptized, ok." So he did. The connections between his story and yours go even deeper than that but I'll leave my very long comment at that for now! David, God bless you for seeking Christ and what a great way to continue your theme but use it for charity, to help those in need. Please go and tour the LDS Church's Welfare Square to learn more about all the great (and very quiet!) work the church does. Love ya, my brother.
David, I was raised Episcopalian but in recent years spent time in Pentacostal churches, I got out of them and am now going to a Salvation Army church where I live. I'm in no way going to have a go at you for your choice. The LDS church fascinates me. I'll keep watching your channel to see how you are fairing.
I was a devoted life long Episcopalian and yet I was disturbed at the secular turn of the church. I was baptized into the LDS church in 2019 at age 55. I am so happy and at peace to have found this church who embraces the teachings of Jesus Christ.
When a person gets a Testimony from the Holy Ghost, then they will KNOW. Their KNOWLEDGE of the truth will be from Heaven. Hoping that is in your future, through your faith.
@@Geoplanetjane The Episcopal Church was established by a man (Henry VIII). No Priesthood authority. No revelation from God leading the Episcopal Church (they say all revelation ceased with the death of Christ's Apostles, a true statement). No baptism for the dead (1 Cor 15:29). No Temples. No Apostles and Prophets, the foundation of Christ's True Church. Before their deaths, the Apostles spoke of a "time of refreshing," "a Restitution yet must come," etc. The True Church in the last days would be a Restored Church; not a Catholic Church, and not one that broke off from the Catholic Church. "Ye have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you," said Jesus to His Apostles. Who has the "keys of the Kingdom" that Jesus said He would bestow on Peter? Baptism is by immersion, not sprinkling. There was a Great Apostasy when the Apostles were killed. The Dark Ages ensued. The Protestant Reformation, broke the yoke of the Catholic Church, and prepared the way for the Restoration of the True Church. Look at the Church Christ established in the Meridian of Time. The Restored Church will have all those "earmarks," spiritual gifts, etc. Jesus said a man should "Ask of God," who would not forsake him in his search for truth. It must be an honest and dedicated search. ". . . and by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things." (Moroni 10:5)
I totally understand where you are coming from in your conversion story! My husband joined the church when he was 18 and he is the only one in his entire family on both sides. He was given so much anti-mormon literature that it was crazy. I've been a member my whole life and I converted him and he has stayed converted for 46 years and now has discovered that he had pioneer ancestors! I love your conversion story so much it's been amazing to watch your journey 💗💗💗
If it helps at all, I think anybody who thinks you were baptized for subscribers doesn't know you or has watched any of your channel. It has been beautiful to watch your humility in following Christ. Keep the faith, Dave!
Brother Boice is incredibly talented also! His intros are always so perfectly paired with the most beautiful music. It's almost like you are at a theatre, nestled in for a classic movie. The way he expresses himself, verbally, and through the medium of visual art, you can see that he has the heart of a poet. An inspired poet. ❤
You, sir, are a hero. It takes amazing faith and courage to walk into the relative unknown. I have always prayed for the missionaries to find those looking for and prepared to find the truth, but you have inspired me to pray for the new converts as well, that they may keep on the covenant path and have that support system to help reinforce their new faith. And that's hard core to be dn invited speaker and not prepare a message, only to come up with an awesome message basically on the spot. Then again, I think you have that spiritual gift to beautifully and sincerely convey the things the Spirit reveals to you. You aren't drowning in that quicksand anymore, Boice. You found solid ground.
It is indeed hard to wander into the unknown. But truth is in the Jesus of the Bible (and of history), not the Jesus of fables. The LDS Jesus is the spirit offspring of a glorified human (rather than "the image of the invisible God"), the brother of Satan (rather than the creator of all the heavenly host), and one who denies the existence of the biblical hell and redefines it as a glorious place called the Telestial Kingdom.
@@danthechristian6097I’m so sorry that you have such a dark and bleak outlook about god and the after life. I’ll pray that you’ll come to know our true Father in Heaven, who is perfectly merciful and just and loves his children more than we can currently understand. Jesus Christ is knocking…all you have to do is open the door and let him into your heart and he will purge the evil teachings of men mingled with scripture from your mind.
Not long ago some friends of ours were in a terrible accident when they were struck by a driver speeding almost triple the residential road speed limit. The mother was killed but her two children miraculously survived. They spent several weeks in the local children’s hospital. That place was a sanctuary for the remaining family members to heal. Those doctors and nurses are absolute angels in the care and rehabilitation they gave to those kids. I wholeheartedly support you in fundraising for the children’s hospital.
Congratulations on your baptism! I am so happy for you! The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the most beautiful thing on the face of the earth. I can't imagine how hard it must be for you to face backlash for being part of Jesus' restored church. Hold to the Rod! You should reach out to David Alexander. His channel is wonderful and all about his conversion and quest to dispel the slander against the Church.
You radiate Jesus! His image is in your countenance! I’m loving seeing your journey! Thanks for being so vulnerable and sharing your experiences! ❤ I’m a lifelong member and you’ve taught me so many things! My daughter and son in law (also named Kevin) are in the first Madison ward you attended. Maybe you’ve heard of Trail Reeves from Apleton who joined the church on April 6. Something is stirring in the Madison area! Ive started praying everyday that Madison will get a temple ASAP. I want my 3 grandsons to have that blessing so close to them.
I hope David reads this as I am piggybacking off Raeannhurst1022 comments. I have been following you for sometime and always felt you were an honest seeker of truth. This is much different than seeking to disprove. Being skepticle is different than being open and willing to pay the price no matter what the cost. This video was totally inspired. I feel the spirit when you speak and it is self evident that you have the gift of the holy ghost. I hope you continue to serve and grow and receive the priesthood and all the other blessings the Lord has in store for you. You are truly a peacemaker and I can tell you have a large roll to play in healing the splinter groups preparing each of our hearts for the second coming of Jesus Christ. His coming is going to be cut short "in righteousness". It is not because of evil that Christ will come, but because of the faith of good people that turn their hearts to God. Love you brother! Raeannhurst1022 is right. Christ's image is in your countenance.
That feeling inside you brother David is the fruit of the Holy Ghost, that make you feel closer of God, that is the indescriptible feeling come from our lovely Heavenly Father. You are in the Lord’s work my brother.
I have studied the book of Mormon cover to cover at least 25 times throughout my life. I know that it is true. I have prayed to God and he has spoken to my soul and mind that it is true. At general conference we can all listen to a prophets voice. Studying those talks I have gained such a powerful testimony that this IS the restored church of Jesus Christ.
From the first time I watched you, I could sense what a sweet spirit you have. I am not surprised that you recognize the restored gospel built on the lord’s foundation of apostles and prophets. You are pure in heart and soul. If people say negative things or are critical, just let it roll off of your back. Stay strong and sweet. The lord will bless you!!!
I had an idea that you could share the “WHY I BELIEVE” testimonies of saints from 52 different countries or cultural backgrounds! I am from Sierra Leone 🇸🇱 and will love to share my conversion testimony on your channel.
Thanks and I loved your insight into the fact that people are NOT perfect, and you may get offended, but you need to look at the FRUITS and the kindness of others. I'm a life-long LDS church member and I've been offended by church leaders who didn't realize that they were offending me. Sometimes, you have to take some time and pray to help you forgive others; the closer they are to you, the more difficult it can be sometimes, to forgive them. One of the best things that I've learned from Jesus Christ's gospel is that if you don't forgive, then you are the one who suffers, not the offender! SO TRUE! The 2nd half of your video was wonderful. Please, keep them coming! I can already tell a difference in your level of happiness and love for Jesus Christ. Amazing.
Congratulations on you baptism David! I am very happy for you. I am a convert as well. I joined the church almost 19 years ago. And that was the most important decision that I have made in my life. You will see the growth through living the Gospel of Jesus Christ and all the blessings (fruits). Do not be afraid, embrace the Gospel with all your might, soul, and mind, it is absolutely worth it.❤
Just last night spending time with my son, a random thought entered my mind about how hard it must be for parents dealing with cancer in their children. I felt a desire like one given to me, not from within me, to help somehow. I can’t explain the feeling in my heart when you mentioned the St Jude fundraiser.
One of the scriptures that helped me discern what 'Book of Mormon' church I should join, after finding over 100 off-shoots and investigating for a decade before I joined, was that it was the only one (besides the polygamist sect in Utah) that upheld what Paul said 'else what what they do for the baptism of their dead'? (1 Cor 15:29). This made me KNOW it is the LDS Church based on SLC, Utah. Also, if you go into the map to see where the LDS wards have covered the earth, you will see this verse is a prophetic reality almost fulfilled: Habakkuk 2:14 - For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea." Concerning the resurrection, Paul asked, “Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead?” Also, being a new member, coming out of Christianity you can expect arrows shot at you as Genesis 49 says because now you are considered 'of Joseph'. I am the only one in my family who is a member and everyone scowled at me for joining. I'm a black sheep, but I love it because it feels prophetically correct as it is. Also the word Utah is Hebrew for 'and last'. The 'U' is a Vav and means 'AND'. The Tau is the last letter in the Hebrew alphabet. So Utah means 'AND LAST'. The first are last and the last are first. The Jews were the first in the early years to receive the gospel and the Gentiles received it last. In the last days, the Gentiles received the restored gospel first and then it goes to the Jews. We hold a heavy mantle to bring those in darkness into the light (Isaiah 29). Keep up the great work, so interesting!
David, you are priceless. I love the respect you bring to every church you visit. You suit the LDS look so well, no pun intended. My former stake president called it the “uniform of the priesthood.” I love that so much. Of course it’s not a uniform and some members prefer more individuality, but the white shirts have become almost traditional among the brothers in the church. They are also a sign of respect for the ordinance of the Sacrament the priesthood members perform, and when serving in other church capacities are a reflection of reverence for the Savior.
Hello David; I want to show my support and testify that the Book of Mormon is true. If I am identifying with a New Testament person, I think I would be one of the "certain women" (Luke 24, and a few other places). I am certain that Christ is The Redeemer and that we are all brothers and sisters. I am enjoying seeing your fruits. :) Peace, joy, love and kindness to you. -
Thank you for being brave and spiritually in tune to search for the Savior. I love the Book of Mormon. I listen to Jared Halverson weekly. He has taught me much about the Gospel.
You are so calm, humble and such a light. Im always so excited to see a new video! What has changed inside you is you NOW have the gift of the Holy Ghost. It's the greatest gift from our Father in Heaven.
I appreciate your viewpoints. The use of your visibility and unique perspective to promote healing through support for St Judes Children's Hospital is a wonderful idea. I pray that it will bless the lives of givers and receivers equally. Thank you for continuing this effort to talk of Christ.
We recently moved out of Kansas city (lived right next to independence) it was the best place. Everyone is so respectful of everyone's religion. I wish we could move back, this sounds like it was an amazing event. Thanks for sharing.
Welcoming to my church, David! I just wanted to tell you how much I have appreciated your channel. I only found your channel recently but have sincerely enjoyed all the episodes I have found and watched. I was born and have lived my entire 80 years in Utah. I was born in the covenant - almost all of the kids I went to elementary through high school with were also LDS. Therefore, I didn't have an opportunity to visit many other churches. I firmly believed that all Christian churches have much good in their beliefs. I also know that belonging to The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints is no guarantee that you are a good Christian. As you say- the proof is in the way we live our lives from day to day. Thank you for taking me with you as you visited so many different Christian churches. I saw so much good in the people you introduced us to - and the insights you gave us. Each episode also strengthed my testimony in the Gospel and teachings of my own church. I sincerely hope that when you are 80 years old, David, that you will have an even greater testimony, even more love and joy in the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints. I humbly pray that God will continue to bless you, David.
Thank you David for all of your video's. I am learning about our brothers and sisters in churches that sprang up during a sad time of Church history when Joseph was killed. I would love to be in fellowship with these good people and through Christ's love we can rejoice together in His goodness. Thank you for bringing to light their churches to us. Last night I watched a wonderful story about three Amish families that came into the Church. One continues to wear his beard. He still reflects his love for this culture. When Christs love abounds we know no barriers.
Inviting Protestants and Saints alike to support a Catholic-affiliated hospital is the perfect example of your aim to aid healing! Unfortunately, I have this message at the top of my screen: 'Sorry, you can't donate in this country or region yet.' I don't like obstacles, so I went straight to the hospital's website, and they will accept an overseas donation from me. I promise I'll make one when I get paid next week. Welcome to the family, bro. If you're ever in Australia, there's always a seat at my table for you and anyone else you might bring with you (whether friend or stranger).
David thank you for having this channel I've learned a lot from you. I am a lifelong member of the church. I served a mission in Sweden and I am continuing to Bear My Testimony of the truthfulness of the church. I continue to teach Sunday school classes even today on come follow me the Savior said. I don't think I've ever come home from my mission. I have brought many many people into the church over the years and I continue that now. Keep on doing the best that you know how to do and your life will be truly blessed and your children's lives will also be blessed. Again David thank you so much!
I was so happy for you when I learned of your baptism. Never has there been a more urgent time to be clothed in the armour of God than now. The adversary has been waging war on the children of God for a long time, but being so close to the Saviour's Second Coming, he is determined to bring about our downfall more than ever. New converts are easy targets. God bless you. Kind regards from, Gina Mac of Queensland, Australia. 😊❤️🙏🇦🇺
Thank you David!.... Your example and story are causing people to look within themselves and re-commit to Christ..... I bet you had no idea you would be in this place now when this all started for you....
David I’m so excited for you. I’m an also new member of 44 years. 😁. Finding new and exciting branches and fruit of this tree of life to partake of every week so the church still feels new to me. I would love to recommend a talk by elder Neal a maxwell called the inexhaustible gospel. The restored gospel is a well of living water to draw from that never runs dry.
I have seen many conversions but this is the first one I have watched from the internet. I can’t believe how many people you have brought unto Christ. I witnessed the Cardinals with you. I feel like we all just witnessed signs, wonders, and miracles as mentioned in the scriptures. Think of all the people coming unto Christ through your experience. I have never seen anything like this only heard stories of this in the early church.
David you picked an excellent charity, I love the work that St Jude does. I can sense the calmness that you are referring to. Congrats for all the work you put in and for the inspiration you received from your Heavenly Father to bring you to baptism. You have had a lot of people praying for you. When you have time and if you’re looking for something good to read, check out “Jesus The Christ” by James Talmadge
You are loved. You are wonderful. You deserve all blessings. Thank you for your kindness, for your sincerity and for your purety of heart. Your messages are so uplifling. Thank you
As a lifelong member, returning to full activity, your conversion has really touched my heart. I just discovered your videoed & it reaffirms my testimony. 🫶🏼 Thank you for sharing.
I am so happy for you. There will be many more questions, and it is wonderful to get answers from God! You will love the journey! AND it will be hard. I agree with you on the way to see a true follower. They do treat others well! One of my favorite quotes is "the only true measure of greatness is how close a person can become like Christ." I don't know who said it! ha ha- but I wrote it down when I was a teenager and I have never forgotten it.
You are such a sweetheart, genuine and curious, but you do so in a way that is endearing and personable. That we all can relate to. I so appreciate your willingness, too REALLY put your heart out there, and have the kid speak what he will. I am So thankful you joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! I have been praying for it since I saw one of your older episodes. Love your channel! Keep holding to that iron rod!
I have been a member of the Church of Jeses Christ for 60 years. For the past several months I have followed your journey. When I saw the video after your first visit to an LDS service I knew that the Holy Spirit was guiding you because you saw the fruits of the Savior's gospel in the lives of the members you were meeting. That fruit is love - the pure Love of Christ. Love is the heart of the Gospel. Jesus taught us that the first great commandment is to love God and the second is that we should love one another. You are now called to bear fruit and i can already see you doing so. By choosing to use your platform to raise funds for St. Jude Children's Hospital (one of the greatest charitable organizations on the face of the planet) you are manifesting Christ's Love. God bless you!
David, welcome to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. As I have watched you over the last many months, I was always impressed with the feelings I felt, and I knew you were a true follower for the truth. You already know haters will hate but you got this!
It was so nice to meet you at the Rally, remember you’re always welcome to stay with us if you’re ever back in Independence. It was so great having so many factions of the Restoration together under one roof and feeling the Holy Spirit moving amongst us. God bless you on your new journey.
It has been such a tender mercy to learn about your spiritual quest. I noticed your TH-cam channel one morning when I was logging into Jared Halverson's Unshaken TH-cam channel. I feel blessed to spend time with him most mornings. He is a remarkable disciple of Christ and I am glad you were able to see him at the rally. I watched your video about the Manti temple open house, and I have been hooked since that day. I love your honesty, humility, and sense of humor! I am reading your book and have laughed out loud multiple times. Thanks for taking the time to make the videos and document your journey. I appreciate that you have joined St. Judes and are doing a fund raiser, bless you for your efforts to help others! Welcome to the family! ♥
I absolutely love your idea to fundraise and help St. Jude's! What a wonderful example of being Christlike and striving to do His work on earth to take care of each other. Thank you!
You have an amazing Christlike heart and purpose. Congratulations on your baptism. a covenant keeping life is truly the way to a great relationship with the Savior and our Heavenly Father. ❤
So grateful for the Book of Mormon and all those who believe in it. Thank you, David, for sharing your experiences and testimony and bringing us along in your journey and hope your write a book some day as MANY Latter-day Saints would love reading your life story and journey to the church.
God bless you, Brother. Continue forward without fear. The Lord will continue to guide you as well as protect you from those “hammers and nails.” (Happy to donate to St. Jude’s. Wonderful idea.)
I've been a member my whole life and I cannot be more grateful for those that can see it like you have. 'No matter if you have been raised in it, or not. We all need to be converted at some point. Mine was when I was about 13 years old. I was being challenged by a minister of my friend. I needed to find out for myself and it took a way, of by chance, looking at the book of Isaiah, which was sitting on the table my father left open. It was the 29th chapter. Being a child I don't know how, but I new it was talking about the Book of Mormon coming forth. That changed my life. I'm so thankful that the Lord gave me what I needed at the time. Congratulations!
I pray for your growth within the faith as well as your continued outreach to our Christian cousins not of our faith. I love the interfaith work and exploration you’ve done and hope it continues.
My daughter and I discovered we had been watching you independently! She and I had a witness of your coming to testimony at the same time! We had a parallel experience. We shed tears together for you. ❤️
Here is a prayer for you, David Dear Heavenly Father, We as members of thy church are grateful for David's choice to join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We pray that he will find a loving and supportive community in the Church and that he will be strengthened by the teachings of the gospel. Bless David as he learns more about Jesus Christ and strives to follow His example. May he find joy in serving others and sharing his faith. We pray that David will always feel thy love and guidance in his life. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen. My hymms choice when i was baptized as a child was "Put your shoulder to the wheel" & "I need thee every hour"
I respect the attempt to get multiple visits in one week so that you can continue to grow in your home Ward. I know many people want you to visit Utah, but since Ohio is closer to Wisconsin, maybe a visit to Kirkland to visit the first Latter-Day Temple. It has an interesting history with both LDS and Community of Christ.
The thing I love most about your channel is the positivity. You try to point out the good in all faiths, which has certainly helped strengthen my faith in Christ, and my desire to be more Christlike. thankyou!
David, my husband and I have followed your videos from day 1 and we were thrilled to hear if your conversion! Not surprised though because as converts ourselves we could tell that you were truly seeking, and open minded and would recognize the Holy Spirit witnessing of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon and the restored church. You are truly an example and we welcome you as our brother! Can’t wait to see the blessings that are about to come your way! We love ❤️ you!
I think it’s great to have a fundraiser for St. Jude hospital & wish I could donate, but I can’t (even 52 cents. Right now I’m unemployed & waiting for SS to approve a disability status (since it’s the government, I can totally believe what I’ve heard about it taking over 1 year for it to happen). In the meantime, I can pray for you & send good thoughts. By the way, I was a missionary in Japan, and am so happy you joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - there is so much to learn, and you are off to a great start. I love your perspective from a Christian background, and how others view the LDS faith.
Thank you for sharing your conversion experience as you found spiritual guidance and clarity from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Your knowledge of the Old and New Testament and how you came to understand the Book of Mormon to be True is inspirational. God surely has many sheep that were not part of his original fold in Israel and these sheep know their Shepard. Your experience has inspired me, thank you!!
David Alexander said he should have looked for the most persecuted church on the planet and THAT IS THE TRUE ONE. He said he could have save 47 years of trying to find it haha - Love both of the new converts to the Church WELCOME !
I have been a member of the church for a very long time. I was thinking about your comments on “how to dress” for church. When I was a little girl (in the 40s and 50s) all the women who attended Protestant churches wore hats. At our church we didn’t wear hats and were frowned upon because of it. Now when I do see people going to church there are no longer hats on their heads. Their clothing choices usually are very casual, so, the latter day saints are dressed in a “Sunday “ best outfit. I just chuckle a little. I know it doesn’t really matter to the Lord, but I like getting dressed up for church. I like seeing men in suits and ties. I just started watching your videos when you went to the Manti temple and wondered how long before you would become a member. So happy you made the choice to join the family of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
David, congratulations brother. You’ve made the right choice. Keep listening to the Holy Ghost. Personal responsibility and revelation is of upmost importance. Love what you’re doing. ❤
You are truly amazing and inspiring. As a life long member I am inspired, uplifted and edified by watching your hornby through this channel. Thank you so much. I would love to see you and David Alexander come together as modern-day sons of Mosia. Welcome to the true church and please don't stop your online mission.
David. I hope you don't leave this podium. I have loved watching you grow your faith and testimony as you have been on the journey to find your truth ...THE truth. It's an intangible that manifested itself to those of us who had the pleasure of watching your gradual conversion. What I'm saying is, your humble example helps solidify my conversion. With all of the negative in the world, our faithful members need to remember why they make the choice they do to remain faithful members. Thank you for your glorious, beaming light: It helps guide us in the strait and narrow way.
Welcome!!!! I’m so happy for you and love your faith journey. I love the God winks you’ve seen along the way…the cardinals! You are loved and welcomed and thank you for sharing the light of Christ. ❤
Brother we love you so much! What is inside you is the your companion “Whom the Father sent in His name” He is already guiding you directly. I’m loving seeing your growth.
I'm so glad you got hear from Bro Jared Halverson. He is an awesome teacher with an incredible understanding of the scriptures. I have learned SO much from listening to his channel Unshaken. Finding his channel 4 years ago was an answer to a prayer. I had been praying to find a resource that helped me study the scriptures more deeply. Thank you for sharing your faith journey. It has has been exciting to vicariously travel it with you.
I had seen a few of your video's and enjoyed a non member who could talk about peoples faith without being critical regardless of what that faith was. When your video popped up about the Manti I knew I needed to watch it. I had been through the open house on day one. Six generations of my family have done work in the Manti Temple for themselves and for others. It is my favorite temple. As I watched your video I expected your usual non critical evaluation of what you experienced. What stood out while I was enjoying your account of your visit was a feeling that you were on the verge of joining the church. You did not make any reference to it but I could hear it none the less. I was overjoyed at your video telling of your baptism and then the one where you were interviewed by scripture central. We need convert zeal so thankyou for joining us. You will see things that we might miss because you are coming from a different starting point. I love your title of the "Restoration Churches" and apricate your ability to help me understand them better. I look forward to watching your experiences from this point forward. You might consider watching talks from general authorities to see what details they mention in public about temple worship. This might be a good guide for how you describe your coming experiences in the temple.
Thanks for watching and the outpouring of support last week.
Let me know what you think of this week's video, would enjoy hearing your thoughts.
Great video! Keep em coming!
Tyler.
Thank you for sharing this, Tyler. It’s all true.
This brought tears to my eyes. Welcome home! We love you and need you 🤍
Wow! you are amazing. Welcome back. We missed you.❤
Tyler, I had that feeling of I'm home when I returned to church too. Welcome home.🥰
I love your testimony. The Book of Mormon is true.
@@danthechristian6097our trust is in Jesus Christ. Always and forever. Come home when you’re ready. Hugs are waiting for you.
Awesome story about your dad. Thanks for sharing 🙏. And I agree, he should do multiples shows on the church’s worldwide welfare system.
I loved reading your long comment ❤ I'd love to hear the whole story
That’s really cool! I love those stories! So inspiring💕 I served a mission in Auckland NZ from 96-97
I was a service missionary at Welfare Square a few years ago!
David,
I was raised Episcopalian but in recent years spent time in Pentacostal churches, I got out of them and am now going to a Salvation Army church where I live.
How about going back to the Episcopal again.
When you said, "I want to grab that iron rod", it just made my heart so happy!! ❤😊
Polynesian from Texas, welcome home brother. Enjoy your journey in life as you work out your salvation as we all are attempting the same
I totally understand where you are coming from in your conversion story!
Thank you for your beautiful videos. You are an incredibly courageous Human, Brother Boyce
Thank you Cheryl. The world needs more healing, that's for sure.
Visiting all these churches is awesome. Do what you can to make taking the sacrament regularly a priority.
Looking forward to the next video!
Also wondering how you’d like to receive donations? Venmo?
I love this idea!
That is a great idea!
I love this idea!
Congratulations on your baptism!
Think we were on the same thought pattern. It's UNBELIEVABLE to see the amount donated after just posting yesterday.
Absolutely floored!
You seem to have such a wholesome attitude that it is a pleasure to watch your channel! Congratulations on your recent baptism, too!
Welcome brother to Christ' restored Church!
You are so calm, humble and such a light. Im always so excited to see a new video! What has changed inside you is you NOW have the gift of the Holy Ghost. It's the greatest gift from our Father in Heaven.
Congrats, I am glad you are one of us to focus on CHRIST.
I can't donate money right now but I will offer 52 prayers in the next 52 days for Saint Jude charities ❤Brother Powers
Thanks
@@BillPowers-qy8bp 52 prayers is great too. Thanks Bill.
I appreciate your viewpoints. The use of your visibility and unique perspective to promote healing through support for St Judes Children's Hospital is a wonderful idea. I pray that it will bless the lives of givers and receivers equally. Thank you for continuing this effort to talk of Christ.
It was great to meet you. So glad we are both home!
We recently moved out of Kansas city (lived right next to independence) it was the best place. Everyone is so respectful of everyone's religion. I wish we could move back, this sounds like it was an amazing event. Thanks for sharing.
By this shall men know that ye are my disciples- if ye have love one to another
Welcoming to my church, David!
Because of you, lives have been changed for the better. We needed you!
I love your pure motives and love for our Savior Jesus Christ. You are inspiring us all to do and be better!
I have loved watching your videos. It has been so refreshing. I was so happy you got baptized. God speed.
WONDERFUL goal of donating! I love that. Donated my first $52. 🙏🏼
Thank you Jenny, that means a lot!
Welcome to the family of Christ. We love you. You are changing lives.
that is soooo cool! I love people coming together in Jesus!
Welcome back ❤🎉
I am so happy for you.
You're amazing! Loved Church #2! Kepp testifying of Christ! That's what it's all about!
We love you David!
When they persecute you for His name’s sake, REJOICE!!!
For, so persecuted they the prophets who came before you.
I hope you continue to be an instrument in the hands of Lord in this project of restoring the restoration.
Thank you so much for posting these videos. You’re an example to many

God bless you sir!
Welcome, you have a truly amazing conversion story! Hold tight to the iron rod, read your scriptures and the Lord will continue to bless you.❤
I've been a member my whole life and I cannot be more grateful for those that can see it like you have.
I hope you continue to post what you learn as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints
David - It's good to feel your spirit and enthusiasm....and your love of Jesus Christ.
I love your insight. You are a very Christlike man for sure…thanks for taking us on your journey!
My daughter and I discovered we had been watching you independently! She and I had a witness of your coming to testimony at the same time! We had a parallel experience. We shed tears together for you. ❤️
Here is a prayer for you, David
Dear Heavenly Father,
We as members of thy church are grateful for David's choice to join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Love listening to you. Your experiences have strengthened me!
Much Love.... 💕✨
The thing I love most about your channel is the positivity. You try to point out the good in all faiths, which has certainly helped strengthen my faith in Christ, and my desire to be more Christlike. thankyou!
thank u again.. you are an example of so much good. i love your testimony and your videos.. i cant wait to hear your experiences!!
Your story inspires me and many others 🙏
Spread the word!
We have to go where the spirit calls us, ✨️🙏🏻✨️💜 David, you are amazing ❗️
You are truly amazing and inspiring. As a life long member I am inspired, uplifted and edified by watching your hornby through this channel. Thank you so much. I would love to see you and David Alexander come together as modern-day sons of Mosia.
Welcome to the true church and please don't stop your online mission.
So blessed to hear and watch your conversion story
Glad you got to hear Jared Halvorsen. His Unshaken channel is where I go to first, every week.
