After connecting the button that links the lower level to the upper level, click on the button on the panel that switches the mode of level you are editing to the higher level. This way you will be making tracks at the higher level rather than the bottom. The holding of the + button when creating the track is the link from level 1 to 2.
The work I put into making that map as painful as possible for any unlucky marbles was so worth it, that was absolutely insane!

HOW DO YOU MAKE BRIDGES???
Hold onto the + button. The bridge buttons will appear.
