One of the biggest cons people run into is quail chick fatalities.

Hello I have a question, I was just wondering how to get my quail to start laying again in spring they have been outside for 3 weeks now and there’s still no eggs😢❤️

There's a couple reasons quail might not be laying eggs. Since you did move them they may still be settling in. It could also be that they don't have enough light.

You forget tho the feed isn’t meant for quail it’s for game birds mostly turkey so you should be grinding for first week then that’s it. Cuts down on waste and helps the weak ones get a chance and use an electrolyte and probiotic in there water from hatch day to the day they die it helps them a lot a lot . I breed quail for the colors and sell them so that’s just what has worked best always for me. I recommend you try it.

I've never ground down my game bird feed even with button quail. None of them had any issues. I did forget to mention the electrolytes though. Definitely helps

@@doubletroublehomestead it’s not bad to not grind it up it just helps them when they first come out incubator since there tired and weak gives them that perk up and they usually fully feather for me at two weeks so I also recommend it to people. When they get older I mix there feed and use a %17 protein then I got construction sand and grit since there free range on tractor coop and they lay a bunch of eggs have a 97% hatch rate always with em. They also mow the yard take care of pest like skeeters 🦟 and nats
