It's the reason I never got into Tabor. I've tried so many times, but the game just feels like an internal alpha and has done so for years. If they actually added a lot of content to it I would be more OK with the bugs, but the development process is hella slow and there's just no reason why it should be this buggy. Also, like just the base mechanics also feel so bad still. Reloading and weapon handling in Tabor is amongst the worst in all VR shooters. People have accepted Tabor with all its flaws because there's nowhere else to go. I think that's why the devs don't care about polishing anything and rather just started 2 more games to develop at the same time, also two games that are alone in their genres and won't see much competition.. Seems like this is their MO. Find an untapped niche, make a jank-riddled game, KACHING profits. I really can not stand that dev.. No respect for their customers at all.

You can attach helmets and rolled up armor to certain bags in this game. Also, you can grab armor and helmets off of scavs but I think you may have to use both hands
You are right about the saving system it is WAY better than tabor but going to the market and back doesn't do anything because the market is in the same "map or level" as the hideout because there's stairs you can go up to get to the market
For a game/game mode thats in alpha yet already has more content and better gameplay then ghost of Tabor even compared to when Tabor first started is insane I wish I could buy this game

Hopefully, this serves as the push Tabor needs to become better than ever. Seeing a competitor that’s not only cheaper (Tabor is £20.99 compared to Contractors Showdown at £15.49 as of this post) but also already has more features in its alpha stage should be a wake-up call for the Tabor devs. If they don’t work to improve the game by adding more features, players may shift to the cheaper, more feature-rich alternative.
This will be interesting competition for tabor and will hopefully inspire both companies to make the "better" extraction vr shooter and it seems this also might help people with content boredom and could help freshin up tabor and contractors update schedules
In my mind this was the only review I was waiting for. Glad to see it pushing this niche of a game forward. Even though the walking "might" be slower. The sliding makes the movement seem better. The fact that the Ai isnt IA and actually Ai, means that it will feel like a meaningful gunfight everytime

CWS has been needing to step it up. They still haven't figured out gunstock calibration (at least the last time I played like 3 months ago). I like Tabor, and hopefully having competition will bring that game up.

The game is in Alpha and despite its smallish bugs and kinks still looks better then Tabor. I think the graphics are better imo. I’d love to see more of this over Tabor, think it would be a good fresh start to see how far the game can come especially with your fan base behind it.
Big potential 😎 so far the features seem quite rich with the typical alpha bugs (a la the lighter 😂). Always good to have competition in the space and well see what each dev team does in response to ine another!
Something I think would be awesome is if there were also durability for certain weapon parts and you could order/loot parts and customize your weapons, like different upper & lower receivers, grips, etc. with different pros, cons, and durability values. This is a suggestion for pretty much any extraction looter-shooter, or even other extraction shooters in general, like Into the Radius. Also something cool would be the ability to farm vegetables and cook food (and/or low-level medicinal components, maybe cook up stimulants that can increase running speed, weight limitations, etc.) with a stove that consumes some type of gas, like propane or butane.
I don’t mind these devs taking a lot from tarkov necessarily, I wish they would do more of their own take on extraction shooters though. This may be the itch scratched that tabor isn’t getting, especially in terms of the body condition system and whatnot. This game is looking to be a strong competitor and I’m interested to see what Tabor’s team will respond with content wise. Competition in this space will make both games better. For the effort put into this project, pulling a ton of models and even the map from their other game, as long as this isn’t outrageously priced when it goes full release I will be excited to pick it up, clearly the still are early in development still. Great content timeless, can’t wait to see more.

yuu can use the little antenna that sticks out of the map module thing to identify items, it’ll tell you the damage and pen stats of different ammos and also tell you the remaining durability of armor and medical items
I've been saying for awhile (in the old GOT discord suggestions) that as soon as another decent VR extraction shooter drops GOT would likely be in trouble. I have yet to try the new game mode in Contractors showdown, but I am excited to play it.
Tested it today aswell and was as impressed as you! Is already known when it is scheduled to get released on steam? Wanna play it with VD. I think if tabor is not stepping up the development from now on they have a huge problem, contractors is actually pretty neat. I Iove all the things they enhanced , things tabor did weird/wrong For example: attach stuff to the backoack, backpack collision so things cant fall through, bunker already better, i saw someone player leaning...so they even got this already?! I liked the way you reload magazines by hand , its a better way then bullet by bullet All the extra amount of items, scav runs, you know ...all that tarkov stuff :P I love tabor, played it from the beginning and got the founding fathers pack ... but they pretty much "rested" after the first success,atleast it felt like that ...now they have a huge problem , they now have to deliver if they dont wanna lose the playerbase
I'm sorry for Tabor, but Contractors taking every shooter genre. The amount of effort they put into EVERY LITTLE THING is insane and I can't say they don't deserve the #1 title. Even for an Alpha, content wise, they already have Tabor beat, and that is insane to me.

Cant be worse than Ghost of Tabor with all thier bugs, jank and sellout devs. I dont mind them leaning more into the original as both games just try to be the VR version of the flatscreen version, at least Contractors dosnt try to act like its something original. Backpack collision alone is such an upgrade, its gonna be my main VR Tarkov for sure.
I have been playing it a good bit and can say that it definitely has potential if it is focused on by caveman. I will definitely be playing this and tabor though, and competition is only good for games. Something to keep each one to push. I've seen the "One game needs to die" attitude people take and it is honestly kind of dumb. More games to play is a good thing. I have never been a fan of contractors gunplay though so that itself doesn't do for me but it is still pretty good.
Honestly, I think the attachment system on GOT is smoother and more realistic over an arcade style that contractors is. I’ve played both contractors games an they’re fun if you want to play COD but Tabor makes my heart race and it puts me intense situations where Contractors doesn’t make me feel anything but laughter. It’s fun with the buds when you want to decompress. Tabor is King

Ive played tabor for a while, I can say that i am not OG but seeing tabors body, and character stuff im not a fan, and as a person who cares about the body and the HANDS showdown seems to beat it as well, and actually being abled to see where your hurt from is cool as hell, and plan on playing this when it comes out, def going to check out the alpha.
Don't want to ask if it's too much work, but maybe after playing a bit, make a getting started video that explains how the game works and different armor tiers, healing, etc. it seems like there is some stuff that isn't explained well so that would be super helpful
It will be so much work with how many mechanics there are but im down to do it eventually. I did it for Tabor and it took a whole day, with this game probably longer

The skull helmet is weaker than the one you were wearing i believe. Also your little tool shows everything detail wise. You need to start using that ASAP. Also there are 3 diff needles for health all diff amounts. N there is also a super skinny one that works like painkillers. And yes you can take the armor off scavs same for helmets. Probably should of read your tutorial lol You can put helmets, vests, and pouches on your backpack

yuu can use the little antenna that sticks out of the map module thing to identify items, it’ll tell you the damage and pen stats of different ammos and also tell you the remaining durability of armor and medical items
I've been saying for awhile (in the old GOT discord suggestions) that as soon as another decent VR extraction shooter drops GOT would likely be in trouble. I have yet to try the new game mode in Contractors showdown, but I am excited to play it.

I think if tabor is not stepping up the development from now on they have a huge problem, contractors is actually pretty neat. I Iove all the things they enhanced , things tabor did weird/wrong
For example: attach stuff to the backoack, backpack collision so things cant fall through, bunker already better, i saw someone player leaning...so they even got this already?! I liked the way you reload magazines by hand , its a better way then bullet by bullet
All the extra amount of items, scav runs, you know ...all that tarkov stuff :P
I love tabor, played it from the beginning and got the founding fathers pack ... but they pretty much "rested" after the first success,atleast it felt like that ...now they have a huge problem , they now have to deliver if they dont wanna lose the playerbase

I'm sorry for Tabor, but Contractors taking every shooter genre. The amount of effort they put into EVERY LITTLE THING is insane and I can't say they don't deserve the #1 title. Even for an Alpha, content wise, they already have Tabor beat, and that is insane to me.
Another tip you can just put your bag in the deposit bin and scroll through selecting the items you want to sell.

Cant be worse than Ghost of Tabor with all thier bugs, jank and sellout devs. I dont mind them leaning more into the original as both games just try to be the VR version of the flatscreen version, at least Contractors dosnt try to act like its something original. Backpack collision alone is such an upgrade, its gonna be my main VR Tarkov for sure.
I have been playing it a good bit and can say that it definitely has potential if it is focused on by caveman. I will definitely be playing this and tabor though, and competition is only good for games. Something to keep each one to push. I've seen the "One game needs to die" attitude people take and it is honestly kind of dumb. More games to play is a good thing. I have never been a fan of contractors gunplay though so that itself doesn't do for me but it is still pretty good.

Honestly, I think the attachment system on GOT is smoother and more realistic over an arcade style that contractors is. I’ve played both contractors games an they’re fun if you want to play COD but Tabor makes my heart race and it puts me intense situations where Contractors doesn’t make me feel anything but laughter. It’s fun with the buds when you want to decompress.

Ive played tabor for a while, I can say that i am not OG but seeing tabors body, and character stuff im not a fan, and as a person who cares about the body and the HANDS showdown seems to beat it as well, and actually being abled to see where your hurt from is cool as hell, and plan on playing this when it comes out, def going to check out the alpha.
The IK in this game (body and hand movements) are insanely well done. I look down at my legs in this game and they feel real lmao

Don't want to ask if it's too much work, but maybe after playing a bit, make a getting started video that explains how the game works and different armor tiers, healing, etc. it seems like there is some stuff that isn't explained well so that would be super helpful
It will be so much work with how many mechanics there are but im down to do it eventually. I did it for Tabor and it took a whole day, with this game probably longer

The skull helmet is weaker than the one you were wearing i believe.
Also your little tool shows everything detail wise. You need to start using that ASAP. Also there are 3 diff needles for health all diff amounts. N there is also a super skinny one that works like painkillers. And yes you can take the armor off scavs same for helmets. Probably should of read your tutorial lol

There is a station where you can replenish your status / heal and its free to use until level 5.
i like them both. but I would 100% say that tabor would be better once its fully polished and most bugs are gone.
