Baby Come Back by Player(lyrics)

- Spending all my nights
All my money going out on the town
Doing anything just to get you off of my mind
But when the morning comes
I'm right back where I started again
Trying to forget you is just a waste of time
Baby come back, any kind of fool could see
There was something in everything about you
Baby come back, you can blame it all on me
I was wrong, and I just can't live without you
All day long, wearing a mask of false bravado
Trying to keep up the smile that hides a tear
But as the sun goes down
I get that empty feeling again
How I wish to God that you were here
Baby come back, any kind of fool could see
There was something in everything about you
Baby come back, you can blame it all on me
I was wrong, and I just can't live without you
Now that I put it all together
Give me the chance to make you see
Have you used up all the love in your heart
Nothing left for me
Ain't there nothing left for me
Baby come back, any kind of fool could see
There was something in everything about you
Baby come back, listen, you can blame it all on me
I was wrong, and I just can't live without you
I was wrong, and I just can't live

That guitar solo is the truth
Yeah yeah
Shane Superville it awoke me from my coma
Shane Superville hell yeah!
Hell yeah
fuck yeah
I came across this song 2 weeks back, i can't stop replaying it.. from the lyrics, chorus to the solo guitar. It's perfection
17 years old when this song came out. Man how things have changed. The 70s and 80s were the best of times. 2022 is here and it came in the blink of an eye. I want the way things used to be back. I miss you SMK.
I was born in 1998.. Obviously I got exposed to this song by Transformers when it first came out in theaters back in 2008. But let me tell ya, I really really wished I could turn back time to the early 2000's back to the good ol' days. But I also do however, wished I was born in the 70's & 80's just to experience this positive vibes..
@@MsVictoriousrocks I'm here because of Transformers too 🙂
I was in freshman in college 1977.. but never appreciate before
Ditto Wes! It’s not the same.
same age. same sentiment. And I am sure I would miss SMK too if I ever knew her
I was only eight years old when this classic came out. All I know is at that time the song sounded beautiful and still today sounds awesome. The only difference is now I know and feel what it REALLY means. 😃
My boyfriend and I broke up and he used to sing this to me. He was the love of my life, but he was a raging alcoholic. Not even functioning. He couldnt work or do anything without drinking at least a pint of vodka daily. I found out he was killed in the beginning of October 2020. He was riding a bicycle and he was hit by a truck and was pinned under it. Now I sing this song. I cant wait to see him in heaven. I will always love him. 💔
Oh Teresa I know how you feel. An alcoholic man loved me and died from alcoholism that destroyed his stomach
I understand and my heart goes out to you. He had been out of my life for years before he died but it hurt me and still cut so deeply. He was my son's father
Im sorry so much
Oh I am so sorry I wish I could help , but I don't know what to do or tell u😓🥺
Aww honey, that is so freaking sad. Take your time seeing him again aye? Don't be in a hurry. Live your best life.
There were bad and good. Now it is all those good time that should be memorized. He has no pain now but left you with all his love. Be strong keep smiling.
ME and my friend sing this to each other whenever one of us leaves the lunch table
😃
@Francis Arts thats bants
Awwww! 🙃
Me and my dudes have hall and oates.shes gone
9 years🤯 how’s it been?
"All day long wearing a mask of false bravado... keep up the smile that hides a tear..." Beautiful song. Growing up. Getting out of our comfortable selfishness and learning to pay the price of love. To deserve. To love and be loved. "Now that I put it all together, give me the chance..." Thanks for the lyrics. Beautiful style and color.
I was 4 years old when this song came out in '77. I remember as a kid in the car with my mom and dad out for a drive in the evening and we went to a Shell gas station and went through the automatic car wash. This song was playing at the time.
Well, I remember in 1979 when I was 7 we'd run over to this candy store called "The Carosel" and for a $1 you could buy a shitload of candy and gum. A can of Pepsi/Coke was $0.25 from a vending machine. if you wanted to have fun, you had to call your friends and go out and play road hockey against other streets. If you wanted to play video games, the arcade and the mall was the place to be. 1984 was epic for music as all sorts of new bands came out, and rock video's on tv were all the rage. When it came to buying goods, everything was still "MADE IN THE USA". Try and find that today. Last month my mom and dad threw out their clothes-dryer...............bought in 1973!!!! In school you got homework. I talk to my sisters kids who are the age I would have been back in the mid-80's and they don't get any homework. Against school policies to overburden kids since the early 2000's. When we were 16, everyone had a driver's license, some even bought their own car's. We'd have meets at the local mall or drag strip around 1991. No one gave a shit if we rode our bicycles without a helmet. Everyone was skinny!!!! That's before GMO was introduced into the food chain. Dude, I have lot's of stories...............70's and 80's were great. I was particularly enthused about the 90's, but that's probably because by 1995 I was a young adult and had more responsibilities that were counterintuitive to having a good time.
Same age. I remember hearing this song when it was new. all the things you mention..Yep that was it and more. This country was a much better place back then..We had soo much more freedom and less worries back then.
@@ronnypaul1400 i guess you're the original GEN Xer- came on the tailend. Was born in 1984, Jan. So have no knowledge about 70's or early 80's. But i came into my own in '89. Yeh times were much simpler. We knew our neighbors; i did play video arcades then also. Lots of outdoor activities so ppl were slimmer then and we all got to be socialized properly. There wasnt cell phones or wifi so we HAD to talk to one another. VCR's were cool then & cassette tapes, something this generation dont know nothin about. Basketball was super awesome then and was priviledged to catch a glimpse of Bird, Magic Isaiah and see Michael Jordan in his prime. The 90's were the ultimate highlight of humanity if u ask me. But things escalated then too to what we know today. So it was good and also bad
Idgaf
When I didn't know anything about English and I loved to sing by the sound not the grammar, lol lol lol, now I understand every word and I actually can sing it for real!!!
Omgggg...these guys were great. I don't believe the world was ready for them. They touch each and everyone..
You don't know what you have ....until it's gone...is so true😢

I love this song. Always listening to this every now and again.
Most depressing song to listen to after a break up that you didn't end.
I disagree, it's this one th-cam.com/video/cgJckGsR-T0/w-d-xo.html , 10cc - I'm Not In Love, it's on my "Fucked up depressed" playlist, adding the Players' song now haha

GOd Damn!!! He put a lot of heart into bAAaaaaby cooooome bacckk!" I loooove it!
the 70's ,80's,90's were the best times . the music was and still is thy #1 .still got my fish tank shoe's from disco to soft rock i'm proud to be part of that era ..the sad part is that the time past and our perant died and like the song state alone again naturally
I love this song ,I will never get tired of this song listen to the lyrics ,I was wrong and I just cant live without you!
I saw them live in 1980 when they opened for The Little River Band at the Universal Amphitheater in Studio City, CA. I was 16 back then and drove myself and my best friend to that concert. Loved them then. Love them now. Little did we know just what a great era of music we were growing up in. Sad that most mainstream music today all sounds about the same.

After all these years, it still sounds perfect!
This is one of the BEST rock & roll guitar solo's EVER
Songs like this one are just so classy. Love its lyrics!

It'll be ok 👌
To be considered timeless classic soft rock...where its musicians gave us their legacy...
My relationship to my long time girlfriend ended today. She's a great lady, but I couldn't recover from a previous relationship in order to make her my wife. I remember hearing this song when I was in high school and the meaning just hit home today.
Ever since this song was released, it was and still is one of my favorites.
I love this song!
i wonder if his baby came back
Gia Diarrhea me too
I think we all do
I think he met a new baby... :)
Probably not.
yes, all came back to ashes
... one of the greatest songs ever... !!!
Timeless classic. Came out the year I was born in 1977. Nothing like this today! Music had meaning. Anything post 2000 GARBAGE! 70s, 80s, 90s music is timeless.
@Dante King 😂😂
Ok boomer. Don't get me wrong, 70s is my favorite music, but to say "anything post 2000 is garbage!" is a narrow-minded remark. Modern music has plenty of gems; you're just not looking in the right place. "Old Town Road," for instance, is a masterpiece.
@@generalgrievous3731 not modern rap though.
Although I wasnt born when this song came out......It still rocks! 😊 3:20 best part

I wish the 70s would've never ended. I missed out on good times.
Beautifully sentimental lyrics
I'm here because I remember this song when it was new among many others from this bygone era when things and society were much better in this country.
Takes a Strong Man to be vulnerable, it's not about right or wrong. This is about the Heart & Soul of the Person. The heart wants what the Heart wants ! I resonate with this regarding how much I to want this. LOVE (True Love) is the most HEALING medicine in the UNIVERSE !!
Good god.. I remember when this came out!
this is music straight to the point
Had to end my marriage about 6 yrs ago. This song reminds of that. I still think about her everyday. She wasn't the one I let get away but was the one I had to let go. Damn.
I miss and love my Tim. Listening as tears run down my face.
I'm sorry 😧
awwwww so beautiful, ..love this song
Back when even a sad song seemed like it was made with honey and butter 🧈. The smooth bass lines. Wah wah on the guitar. The melodies. The harmonies. They just don't make music like this anymore. 😪
Listening to this song for LIFE N 2020🦋🦋🦋🦋🌼 And 2022!
Love this song !
Damn, dat guitar solo.
With this song playing and me drinking wine puts me to the right mood.
Brings back great memories from the 70's for me.
I thank God I was born in 65 and grew up to fantastic music and era. 60s, 70's and 80's music. Not saying new music is bad but there was real appreciation then no glitz but pure entertainment. I'm sick of red carpet bullshit.
Masterpiece. I'm in the back seat of my mom's car again getting taken to kindergarten. This was playing.
Loved this song since I was 15.
