    Interesting vehicle and definitely Peel Region's flag ship car.

      @@Modern.Motoring I hear ya. The platform is from the mid 2000s from the 300. At that price you are now in luxary territory.

    I bought the Challenger GT and my passengers are lucky that I'm really short and need the seat all the way forward to sit properly so they have plenty of leg room.

    There's some rather harsh comments here, which I don't really understand. I've been driving Dodge cars for the past decade and I've never had a problem with any of them. The quality is just fine. Maybe not as high as cars at double or triple the price but you get what you pay for. I presently daily-drive an optioned-up '19 Challenger 6.4L Scat Pack Widebody and I absolutely love every minute behind the wheel. I use a dedicated set of winter wheels/tires in the winter and have no problems getting around in the snow. The SXT and GT V6 cars have the AWD option which is great but I really wanted to get back to a 2-door V8 after driving 4-door V6 family cars for 18 years. The Challenger is for me a dream come true. It's the modern version of what I only could wish I had in my teen years. To me, almost all other cars look the same and I can't tell one from another. The Challenger stands apart. It's big and comfortable and has room for lots of stuff like groceries, luggage, whatever. I like it a lot and I would not change a single thing about it. If someone hates it, that's fine, see if I care. They can miss out on the fun if they want.

    Nice review Jay, if this car isn’t made by Dodge, it would be the biggest hit, the styling on Dodge products always ground breaking but too bad their quality issues still continues.

    • @Modern.Motoring

      If you had your way, who would you pick to manufacture this aside from Dodge?

      @@Modern.Motoring Toyota (Made in Japan) hands down with no questions…can you imagine if Toyota would build this car but with their bullet proof 4.0 V6 from the 4Runner. The market will be flooded. This is such a nice looking car…

    3:16 _"I wish they had gone all the way -- manual seatback as well as seat bottom."_
    Did you really mean that? You prefer no power seats at all?

    • @Modern.Motoring
      @Modern.Motoring  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Correct - saves a bit of weight. I don’t like it in the Mustang either.

    • @Milesco

      @@Modern.Motoring : Hmmm...that's very interesting. I _love_ the every-which-way power seats in my 2004 Mercury Marauder. I wouldn't have it any other way. Manual seats are difficult and finicky (in my experience) and it definitely seems cheap. Very spartan and low-budget. And in my opinion, it doesn't make sense to make such a sacrifice to save something like ten pounds in a 4,000-pound car. But to each his own, as they say. 🙂
      (I hope you understand I'm not "dissing" you! It's a good review of a nice car, although I myself would go for the Hellcat! 😁)

    How did you find acceleration smoothness? I recently went back to a Mazda 6 for family reasons, but a true naturally aspirated motor is calling back to me! This looks like the perfect "dad daily" :) (I had to give up a Mustang earlier, but this being AWD seals the deal)

    Nice challenger.... I wonder why all the AWD challengers are in the east coast like Ontario....I just bought one here in Alberta.
