i’m 16 and love what you guys do i’m gonna try to convince my dad to let me couch flip so i can build income for myself and start some other projects for business
Have you guys done a video about your inventory and accounting process? Any apps you recommend for your particular income streams? How do you do bookkeeping for different streams?
Right now I just use Google sheets. But it is starting to become a headache trying to track everything. So I am trying to find out a different method. Haven’t found something that works good yet though
@@CameronSadie Jaeden Schaffer says he’s a big fan of Wave apps for accounting and I’ve seen the Sortly app advertise itself specifically as a solution for managing furniture flipping inventory. I’m gonna check them out, hopefully they help you too.
OK so first let me say happy birthday Cameron. Please don’t everybody rip my head off I’m not making excuses I’m still trying to do this hustle. But to say that anybody can do this is not realistic when I put a search in for couches 20 minutes from my house I literally get zip or torn up trash. I live in an area where I need to drive approximately 45 minutes to an hour and a half to pick up anything decent and then trying to resell it has proved to be difficult please I am not saying this isn’t a good idea I’m just saying not everybody can make this much money in one week and I would like to see this tried after everybody stimulus money is gone and see if the same results are achieved. I really do love what you guys do and thank you are a cute couple. By the way Cameron is not old LOL
Completely understand your frustration! This will depend on your market too! Not all places are the same. Also the good deals go really fast so you gotta hop on it quick! Keep trying and don’t give up :)
Thank you guys for making a video. I had a question about actually moving the couches..I think that’s the biggest fear factor for me. Are you finding most of the couches to be not too heavy for 2 people? And is it possible to unload them on my own or would you recommend always having a partner?
With 2 people you should be fine on most couches because they are in separate pieces so it’s not bad carrying them. If you just have one person you could always bring a dolly around with you to put the couch on!

Stuff I'd like to know: if you find couches on FacebookMarketplace, for example, do you worry at all about those who sold it to you seeing your ads? That's something that I think about. I suppose I could simply block that particular seller...
I don’t worry at all! What we are doing isn’t bad at all. People know they are pricing low and they usually know it’s poor quality. They usually just want to get rid of it quick! That’s where we come in :) people will trade time and convenience over money all the time!

Unfortunately, after writing this, I saw a girl who'd bought a groovy boho wicker headboard off of facebook marketplace, (one that I also asked about to see if it was available) to resell it, and I wrote her privately to say, oh! You're the lucky one who got it for 8$. And I wished her well, and hoped she'd sell for her asking price. She told me that tons of folks wrote her in private to tell her off and insult her for taking advantage of the person who sold it. (That's the Québec mind set...)

We do a lot of deliveries yea. It really just depends on how much time we have to do a delivery that day. So if you have time to do that I would highly recommend it!

Is anyone else trying furniture flipping and not getting much traction? I'm using Facebook marketplace, craigslist and Offerup. So far I've purchased 6 items, posted 5, and only have sold 2. I've officially been doing this for a week. Am I expecting too much too fast? It seems like others on youtube get most sales within a day or 2... hmm. I live in the Bay Area CA and I'm seeing tons of things sitting on the market for weeks and months, even after prices have been slashed.:/ Is it my area?
There are a lot of factors that go into this. Each area is so different so you have to look at comparables to see what others are selling for. What kind of condition are yours in? Is yours priced way too high compared to others? Is it a sectional? Is it a couch and loveseat combo? How are your pictures? There are a lot of things that go into it. Just remember, it’s only been a week for you so you’re still in the learning stage. Don’t give up and don’t get frustrated too quick. Give it a shot for a few weeks and figure out what works in your area 😊

However you are right, I am still learning my market and perhaps it will take a little longer to get into the swing of things. Just today I randomly got 4 or 5 more inquiries.
