Most versatile female composer of all time. Imagine being an idol-type pop singer (a Britney, Xtina, Namie Amuro etc.) who teens would puts posters up on their wall of, selling in the multi-millions, who's a big star, a hugely recognisable face. There have been a few of those, but then imagine as well as pop they do rock, punk, jazz, tango, baroque marches, bossa nova, electronic music, all very much written down, notated, often even before touching a key or strumming a string. Imagine if Gaga didn't do a perfunctory jazz covers album but instead could do original jazz music (in multiple styles). Imagine if Katy Perry could play piano, guitar, bass, drums, koto, shamisen, koto, erhu, vibes, recorder etc., or if Rihanna could compose an instant classic (and future standard) melody like 'Ringo no Uta' or 'Kabuki-cho No Joou'. There's literally no female artist but Ringo who meets all these criteria. Above all, though, to me she's an incredible composer.

Many Japanese musicians, not just MIKU, are Inspired by her sense of poetry and her way of singing.
She composes, writes lyrics, plays multiple instruments, and sings. Ringo Sheena is a genius.
Her background includes classical and jazz, as well as old and new rock music and pop songs.
When she was young, she was a pioneer of Lady GAGA things in the 90's and early 2000's, I think.

Aw man. Been listening to these guys since the early 2000's. Very unknown band outside of Asia in general. All of them members are masters in their own right! They also have other projects other than this band and contribute very much to the music of other artists.
They inspire MOST of the artists that emerged for the past 2 DECADES! It feels great that your channel appreciate these guys and hopefully this will introduce Tokyo Jihen to the young aspiring musicians coz they have A LOT to learn from this band's overall career.

@@dicodec... Also, "Kenka Joto" translates to "Active Fighting"
Most of the lyrics are already in English.
      Lyrics from the studio recording:
      "こっちの心根量らずと 一体如何云う御了見
      そうした喧嘩は手前から 売ってやりんす上等よ
      待てこら 未だ答えは 聞けちゃ居ないのさ
      洗い浚い吐け 今宵は常套句なんて 通用しないと思え
I'm so angry with you, sorry
You should concentrate on cheering me up
But it's too late now, you've lost your chance, it's gone
You never once realized how bad our dilemma had got
      Stop it, honey, cheeky!
Why can't you see it my way just this time?
      Silence, naughty, fussy!
I am really sick, so sick, so sick of you
      And I hate you
That's right you love me so much, don't you
I should thank you for that, maybe
But it's no use how what a giant waste of time
Because I have never felt any weight in your words to me
      Shut-shut-shut-shut up!
      Stop it, honey, snooty!
Why don't we just look at our bullshit then?
      Iffy, crappy, scrappy!
You would be best off, far, far alone
I am really sick, so sick, so sick of you
      And I hate you"
*The studio recording does not have the breakdown.*

If I'm not mistaken, the whole band produced the album along with Uni Inoue, a sound engineer that has been working with Ringo since forever (I wanna say since 1998, but I'm not sure). The whole band made the arrangement for this album, but in this particular song, the lyrics were written by Ringo and the music was composed by Izawa Ichiyou (the guy taking a bath, that plays the keys and piano).
Also, the outro song is an excerpt from track 3 in the album, called Lightning (it is one of my favorites in the new album called "Music")

Ringo Shiina (vocalist/lyricist/composer) is admired by many female musicians in Japan and Miku is one of them. When Miku decided to form the band, she was thinking about creating a band like "Tokyo Incidents" (in terms of "cool" music). As Eric commented, this band had a great influence to Miku. So we Maidiacs should thank to Tokyo Incidents, I think.
I am a fan of Ringo Shiina, btw😁
