My family visited that museum in the mid 1990s, I think around the time that movie came out. Definitely remember the agent/doctor/alien on gurney setup.
I went in 2017 during extra days in a RT 66 trip while I was waiting for friends to land in Albuquerque. My favorite thing about the museum is the "Identified flying objects" wall.
The Cover Up Cafe was there like 12 years ago when I went and it was a very cool alien themed restaurant. The next year when I went it was gone. Hmmm they knew too much

I also have to recommend visiting Las Vegas, New Mexico. Lots of movie tourism, but when I went I ended up just having Karaoke night in the historic hotel and drinking with the locals. It's the one time I ever got a high five from a bell hop. Fun town to visit.
Those are really nice sunglasses, Eric! My roadtrip is next week and watching this is getting me so pumped! We're starting in San Antonio and driving to San Francisco! I think we'll be passing by Roswell :)

New Mexico! Did not think you guys would stop here, I am a little further south in Las Cruces. The next time you are in New Mexico you should check out Carlsbad Caverns, they are amazing and there is a bat flight you can watch in the evening! It is definitely worth the trip!

Oh I love White Sands! They have these full moon events during the summer with live music and the moonlight reflects off of the sand, very beautiful! And yes go to the Caverns!
The last two or three videos have been top notch guys, I love the Scottish festival one. This was hilarious, Got a whole Spaghetti Western vibe from the scenery there. Must be a bit of a shake up after literally jumping from an English winter to a desert landscape. Fantastic stuff.
July 4th is the UFO festival. Go to White Sands. Alamogordo, NM has a ton of the NASA related museum. Tularosa is the home of Downwinders which resulted in cancers and birth defects and is the result of the atomic tests and finally, the bombs that were set off in Japan. Roswell has the airplane graveyard. It’s spooky.

When we travelled with our kids, one of their favourite things was to stop at roadside attractions and take pictures in front of them.
