    I've been playing this game for years and I love how strong and simple your builds are. Keep up the excellent work.

      Cheers! Second mastery choice got a bit hyped in other comments, hopefully this vid and the actual mastery choices are useful for everyone.

    Indeed a great video and explanations. Now i am still analyzing the different mastery that you are proposing. We have all details needed to make the right choice. Not easy for me between Arcanist and Nightblade. For sure i will not play hardcore but soldier is also interesting....not an easy choice.
    by the way Hapy New Year Sir, and now i know what to do today :)

    Hey Arcade is it worth being friendly with barrowholme ( they make me ill) to get a respec attribute potion? Had I waited for your next video (I was impatient) where you picked arcanist spirit would not have been an issue as it stands I used my potion to equip my offhand. lol

    • @Arcadelife1
      @Arcadelife1  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Barrowholm have some decent stuff in the shop at higher levels. I think I used their head item for a while on this character but there’s better stuff elsewhere. Staying friendly is more xp from their quests, but some of their quests are a bit tedious. I tend to go friendly unless I need an item from Namadea, who you can only encounter if you go hostile. Actually another reason to go friendly is being able to fight Ravager and get his head item which is a pretty cool looking thing.

      @@Arcadelife1 Manticore venom vs mark of dreeg. I literally just stgarted playing the game first time and landed on your build which I love. I know there is a reason you use mant over mark of dreeg or should I move to dreeg?

    • @Arcadelife1
      @Arcadelife1  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@brianlovesjesus7056 if you’re talking about the augments, I would just go with whichever ones give Dreeg’s Evil Eye the best damage increase. Check this by having character tab 2 open and Evil Eye on either mouse button (temporarily if you’re not using it in a mouse button) then watch the damage values change on character tab 2 with different augments applied.

      @@brianlovesjesus7056 Note that components and augments are separate - you can have both (component and augment) on a piece of gear.

      Hey ty for the tips. Learned dreegs does not stack with vitriolic. Regarding Elite and Ultimate can the build handle it and when do you switch over? Thanks again!

    hi. very nice guide. love to follow your steps. but theres something strange. i seem to miss two skill points. recognized it at level 49 or somethin. i did everything exactly like you i believe. are there any skillpoints from quests i maybe missed out?

    • @Arcadelife1
      @Arcadelife1  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Could be missing a skill point from the Hidden Path quest, but it’s likely to be from gear differences where I’ve maybe got additional points from prefix/suffix luck on one or more bits of gear. I’m currently at level 77 on this character (videos are being edited and uploaded retrospectively) and I’ve had a few skills yo-yo-ing on points due to gear swaps for a while now.
      Don’t worry too much about minor differences in skill points; the important thing is to max out the relevant Occultist skills before starting on a second mastery.

  • @WallaceBernie
    @WallaceBernie 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Dear Arca, one question : at what level do you recommend to take the second mastery? as you did or do we have an interest to do it sooner?

    • @Arcadelife1
      @Arcadelife1  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There's no benefit in taking the second mastery before maxing out all the required Occultist skills.

    i ended up going with oathkeeper for my second class do you know where i could find a skill tree for Sentinel?

    • @Arcadelife1
      @Arcadelife1  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends what you want to do with the build. I didn’t include Oathkeeper in my own shortlist of masteries because I couldn’t make it work as well with the ‘single attack’ concept as the other three options. There are lots of very strong Sentinel builds out there, some that use Dreeg’s Evil Eye, but I’ve never made one myself so all I can suggest is the Crate forum or just general online searching.

      I also ended up going oathkeeper and I focused on Summon Guardian of Imperion with the Dreeg buff to change them to immortal acid tanks. I also took Presence of Virtue (1)w/Haven (max) for shield buffs

    What about Necromancer? Is it bad for second mastery?

    • @Arcadelife1
      @Arcadelife1  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's not 'bad', just not in the top 3 for how I'm doing this build. If you want tankiness, there's Soldier (or Oathkeeper). If you want acid/poison damage buffs and some additional skills, Nightblade would be the one. If you want to do what I've done, choose Arcanist for high Spirit, additional damage absorption and a couple of 'escape button' one-point skills. If you go with Necro, there's really only Ravenous Earth for Acid/Poison damage - it would work, but the other options are better in my opinion. Like I said, Necro isn't 'bad' just not ideal for what I'm trying to do. Also, Acid/Poison pets is a whole different build.

      @@Arcadelife1 I see, thanks for answering!
      I noticed after scanning the whole Necromancer tree that it wouldn't be that great. Maybe having pets to take agro and shooting from afar? xD
      I'm using Arcanist as secondary too, I took it a bit earlier just to get started and get the feel of it.
      I imagine this guides are going all the way to lv 100, so its a long trip for me still to follow up >.< (Lv 35~ atm)

    Thanks for the video. I’ve chosen to follow along with your skill point allocation, your explanation of why you chose them makes a lot of sense.
    As a first-time player I’ve been wondering how much potential is there to convert all elemental damage to acid with everything in the game and how that might skew our gear choices leading into higher difficulties?
    Playing this game is my way of kicking off the new-year (post celebration), thank you for the video! 😊

    • @Arcadelife1
      @Arcadelife1  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the support!
      I’ve done a character with total elemental-to-acid damage conversion for damage from all sources, using the Putrid Necklace (45% conversion) and a pair of Ugdenbog Venom Launcher pistols - well over 100% converted with those three items. However, the elemental damage attack skills retain their own visual colours because there’s no specific skill conversion. By contrast, if you use an item that specifies it converts a damage type on a named skill, the skill colour/effect usually changes to match the damage type. I’ll dig up some videos and reply again with the links so you can see what I’m talking about.

      @Arcadelife1  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As I mentioned in the other reply, here’s a link to a short-ish video about a few of my damage-conversion characters, showing stuff like skill effect colours changing and other stuff - th-cam.com/video/ctj6K9_v6dA/w-d-xo.html
