In one swift movement we got an album of some killer prog rock of many forms, and some of the only concrete Hylics lore, I'd call that a win-win for everybody. Can't wait to see what's going to happen in this next project if this is the prefix to something much larger, I mean we are getting a plotline and actual character motivations for our major players! 6:33 I somewhat think that Wayne's thinking about the whoever made his respawn cycle in that part, mostly because even if Gibby got reanimated once, Wayne could infinitely get reanimated just to fight Gibby, with that and "mystical forces" being something that could come from the Sages. 12:46 I feel that segment could also apply to the gibbydog/hylics 3 protag inasmuch as they're newborns. 28:48 I wonder if that specific part of the song is like some cultural change encouraged by someone pre-Hylics, where the kings exists because the Sages aren't around and Wayne is slowly getting king-ified into being something similar to Gibby.
Nice to hear someone else who thinks Clawman is singing Spell of Absurdity. They mostly seemed like a joke character in the first game. I thought the whole "password" scene was pretty funny at least. That song, assuming it is Clawman singing, reveals a whole new side to the character, some sort of complexity and tragedy, and that has me excited. I need to remind myself that we don't actually know that's Clawman singing, since I really convinced myself that's the case ("Someone pinch me," come on.) but I don't want to be disappointed if I'm wrong.
Im a bit late, but ive got a few things to say. I dont think Wayne made the transition to villainy on purpose or anything. To me, it seems as though his discontent as a creature made to fight against Gibby caused him to abandon the world. As a result, he abandoned his friends, and his species evolved into the malformed enemies we see in the teasers. Dedusmuln seems to miss Wayne, and he wants to see him again, but deep down I believe he too feels betrayed. His outlook on the whole situation seems somewhat immature, like a child who struggles to cope, but also filled with wonder and whimsey. Pongorma looks like he has taken Waynes abandoning as a full on betrayal, and I cant say I blame him. Compared ti the other characters, it seems as thiugh he was unable to move on. He was trapped in a cycle, you could say. One more thing to note is that the ending of his song uses the bassline motif from "An Endless Cycle" which I found very interesting. The other characters are nowhere near as straightforward and I struggle to really come to an honest conclusion. (Chuck, if you see this, all of these songs are masterpieces. I still cant pick a favorite.)
The only thing I don't agree in your theories are that the absent moo refers to the actual moon, I believe Dedusmuln is talking about Wayne and how he misses his friend

I shall share a few of my thoughts (just my interpretations, probably hit or miss): In "The Champion of Ennui/Into The Pastel Sky", I interpreted the line "Will they disappear in time?", as referring to the weird wayne creatures. Basically that Wayne is wondering if they will die out without him, feeling as the enabler of whatever is going on. In "The Promethean’s Lament", I think it's Odozier telling the story of the past games to the odozier-looking thing from the teasers. The lines: "listen to nothing but the beat of your heart, for it is your own! Oh, arise my creation! There’s so much to discover. Oh, my precious animation! You’re unlike any other. Listen…Learn…Adapt…Fortify…Unleash…Attack…Overpower…Destroy…" is actually him speaking directly to them (not recounting what he said to resurrected Gibby, as you assumed. I mean it could be it, I'm just speculating) In "The Way Back Home" I add only that Chuck confirmed that it is Dracula's narration (in the comment section) In "Seasons" I bet the "And these nights are long with an absent moon…" is a double meaning, referring both to the exploded moon, and Wayne. The "Since we walked upon that island in the sky… I’ve felt the change myself, but cannot reason why…" I'm probably wrong, but it may refer to Hylics 1 when after killing Gibby, all characters received exp (island in the sky being the moon). The "With the passing of time you have to sharpen your mind. Those who seek just might find the answer lurking behind, you crawling in the shadows, now you tremble with fear. What you knew disappeared, and the new season is here." I'm probably reading too much into this but I like to imagine that its Dedusmuln having a moment when he is resenting Wayne, for all the weirds stuff going on, that he just took his leave, leaving the mess to others, now lurking somewhere in fear of what the world turned into, instead of going forward and helping. (or Wayne being full-on antagonistic if not villainous). And saying that he is close to finding out where Wayne is hiding. The line "I’ll study every path you make. I’ll fight to see you once again." could be the motivation and storyline in Hylics 3 for Dedus, wanting to find Wayne (even if my theory is right and he is angry at him, he still feels sentiment, if not sort of love towards him). In "Spell of Absurdity", in the comments, someone was wondering if it's Dracula singing and Chuck responded "Not Dracula. Unannounced character from H1. Dracula does sing on The Way Back Home, though." So the "Unannounced" means probably a completely new character, that retrospectively fits in Hylics 1 (I have no idea how to interpret the "character that we know" in the response to you. It seems like a contradiction to "unannounced character"). My probably incorect thought is that it's the father of a new party member or a new important character, which we learn about from them, but he won't show directly, serving more as a motivation for them, or some lore-building in general. In "As the World Begins to Wane" the line "A shabby end, but I habituate…" is a reference to his line from Hylics 2 "Alas, I have grown attached to this shabby planet", while talking to Gibby before the final battle. Just a nice easter egg, but it's sad that then it was something rather positive, that he cares about this world, but now it describes how he is more surviving than living. Also in the comments, people were saying that Chuck said that it's about Pongorma dying. I can't find the exact quote, but when someone was wondering about how he can die for good without being revived as it happens in the games, Chuck responded "I mean, we don't KNOW what's happening, just that Pongorma is dead and he uhhh can't come back. I use my phone to record, and sometimes I don't lock the focus properly which results in that focus fighting. The next video I'm working on has this issue, but I've tried to work around it. Just a quirk of using a phone that's quite old and struggles to focus sometimes.
