@Nika7903 Hey I'm sorry I just saw your comment. I know its been almost a year, but to answer your question I bought it from Andy's Auto Sport, but I recommend you spend the extra money on the VFiber or Duraflex kit. The Andy's kit is paper thin fiberglass. Recieved it with a hole the size of my fist in it and several other cracks.
@Nika7903 And the tail lights I found on eBay. Run about $180. If you have the Sebring though you would have to swap the rear bumper to the stock Stratus rear bumper or the aftermarket rear bumper because those tails are only made for the Stratus.
@sebringRT yeah prob had to swap onboards, motor mounts and all that jazz. Not like the old days where you can swap a 5.0 for a 5.7 in your garage over the weekend lol :)
@iizRoCkrzii34 Yea the 2.7L was a total POS from 2001 to about 2004 when they changed the design of the internal chambers to fix the sludging issue. You really have to take care of the 2.7L to keep it running and even then it's hard to. The 2.4L motors are good motors except for the fact on the earlier 2.4s, like I have in my car, they have valve tick bad. Unfortunately theres not a whole lot you can do about it, besides run thicker oil.
LOL I have a '01 Sebring with its 2nd 2.7l and it only has 89k on it too. Garbage ass engines from 1998 to 2004. I run synthetic oil with sludge protection and it seems to help quite a lot.
@BigNick419andholding The H.O. hasn't been fit, but the standard 3.5 has been done already. The hood doesn't fit over the motor though so something custom has to be done. Swapping to the 2.4 was no fun either. All this damned technology makes everything so complicated anymore.
@bjames28 Thats what I figured. The tails that I have on my car WILL NOT fit the Sebring without swapping to the bumper I have on my car or swapping to the stock Dodge Stratus rear bumper. The tails I have a specifically made for the Dodge Stratus.
@dillonmither The body kit is called the Kato Combat kit and I got mine from Andy's Auto Sport. DO NOT buy their brand. Make sure to buy VFiber or Duraflex.
Matt any suggestions to get the headlights out? I have the convertible and they make it look easy but I’m finding it difficult. I has hit by a Karen and have to replace fender and headlights. Sweet job on your car. 😊❤️👍
i just bought 97 sebring and its in great condition, only had 45000 miles on it when we found it! it has a v6 avenger under the hood, basically the same thing that they used for the pacer car in NASCAR back in the day. im so proud of it but it needs some body work
Well this car is actually done and gone. Had an incident where somebody keyed it and I didn't have to money to repaint it. I've got a new project now. But yes you can buy just the front bumper, but without the side skirts it looks hideous because the front bumper sits some much lower than the stock rocker panels. If you were gonna do it that way I would get the front bumper and side skirts.
this is nice i bought silver 1 about year ago and cant find any body kits for 4dr sedan where did you buy this body kit ? i would appreciate the info cause my car looks pretty borind right now and i also got a question about tail lights where did you find those?
I used B&G Springs. When you do do it expect to have to change all your bushings and possibly your upper strut mounts in the rear. You'll also need KYB struts.
can u only buy the font bumper by itself cuz i like it and i put a dodge bumper but it cracked so i need a new bumper and love ur car i have a 02 sebring sedan and itd metallic orange with a black hood if i can get that bumper and get a fender i will make a video to show u how it looks im subscribing keep up the good work
Found it on Andy's Auto Sport. What ever you do, DON'T buy their brand though. It is paper thin fiberglass and cracks extremely easy. Spend the extra money on the Duraflex body kit.
@sebringRT I have an 01 Sebring too, but mine is stock. I was checking out some videos on changing the battery to see if I had the correct size.....lol. When I saw this video i knew it had to be the same car.
this car is really amazing a great work I have the European version of the Sebring but i cant import body-kits from the us ´cause the German Traffic laws don´t allow them. and the shipping cost from US is very high ;)
I like the stock frontbumper more than the custom one tbh :/, makes it look like a mazda mx in my opinion, and maybe bigger wheels. Apart from that, good job :)
@crystalmono The tail lights are for a Dodge Stratus. When I put the body kit on the car I had to switch over to Stratus tail lights because they only make the kit for a Stratus.
The front and rear has to be converted to the Stratus lighting. Headlights and tail lights have to be changed. If I remember right, the body kit was acquired through Andy's Auto Sport and it you have search under Dodge Stratus not Sebring.
@BigNick419andholding They didn't run the 2.7 from 1998-2000. They introduced the engine in 2001. Pre-'01 they had the Mitsu 2.5L in the Stratus/ Sebring/ Cirrus/ Breeze. They changed the oil passages in 2003, but the motors were still a POS.
Hi Matt...You did a great job with the car...I got one sebring exactly the same thing that you got and I wanted to lower my car...which brand of springs or suspension kit do you suggest?
@sebringRT No, not in the Sebring, Cirrus or Stratus, but they did in the Concorde AND the Intrepid. My mom had a '99 Intrepid with the notorious 2.7 in it that quit firing on #4 cyl and eventually died and caught fire in the driveway! I managed to keep that engine going for 190,000 though (no small feat, either) trust me, I know ALL about this p.o.s. engine. BTW, I see you swapped your 2.7 for a 2.4. You thing a 3.5 h.o. would fit in the compartment of a Sebring?
Everything was bought for a Stratus. The hood was from a company called TCSportline. The body kit was bought from Andy's Auto Sport. Like I said though, it has to be bought for a Stratus. If you do the whole kit, you have to swap the Sebring tails for the Stratus tails.
@BigDizzad Yea that's where I work. I worked there for almost 5 years, then quit for 9 months, and then came back. Thanks for the props. How'd you find the video?
Richard Wahl Scratch that last comment, I didnt read all of the comments on this video. My bad. But in your opinion, I'm not a car guy at all, do you think if I lowered the engine mounts, a 3.5 will fit under the stock hood without causing too many other headaches? Or should I just get a Jasper remanned 2.7? Mine is the Chrysler built convertible, its the first car I bought myself and I'm trying to save it, I have a bearing inside the 2.7 going bad :/ I really just need to talk to someone who is familiar with a sebring like you. lol
Richard Wahl The 3.5 will not fit under the stock hood. I've seen it attempted on the forums I'm on. You don't want to lower the motor mounts because then you risk the chance of bottoming out and busting the oil pan. Your best bet, being that you aren't a car guy is just buy the reman 2.7 and make sure to stay up on the oil changes regularly.
Yeah thats what I decided. I'll make some minor upgrades after that, cold air intake, performance chip, etc. I'm definitely becoming a car guy now that ive been under the hood working on it. lol I love what you did to yours though.
CBA LEDS The tail lights are for a Stratus. When I added the body kit I had to switch to Stratus tail lights because the body kit is only made for the Stratus tail lights.
just 3 things to make it perfect Remove the vinyls, put the Chrysler badge back on the front bumper and remove the rear wing. follow these steps and you're not a ricer anymore to me! :D

sweet.

@iizRoCkrzii34 No I bought it with the shitty 2.7L motor that was twice blown and then I switched it over to the 2.4L DOHC.
Well this car is actually done and gone. Had an incident where somebody keyed it and I didn't have to money to repaint it. I've got a new project now. But yes you can buy just the front bumper, but without the side skirts it looks hideous because the front bumper sits some much lower than the stock rocker panels. i looked and the only problem is i cant find the side skirts or rear bumper..all it shows is the front bumper ands full kits for a 2 door
this is nice i bought silver 1 about year ago and cant find any body kits for 4dr sedan where did you buy this body kit ? i would appreciate the info cause my car looks pretty borind right now and i also got a question about tail lights where did you find those?
ok thx
Now it looks even more like a camaro
i have no clue where to get an exhaust system for my 05 sebring coupe limited. also dont even know where to get a body kit.
I used B&G Springs. When you do do it expect to have to change all your bushings and possibly your upper strut mounts in the rear. You'll also need KYB struts.

The blue lightning fractal on the side just ruins it
Body kit is for the Dodge Stratus sedan. Bought mine from Andy's Auto Sport. Spend the extra money on the VFiber body kit though.

@bjames28 The tails were bought off of eBay for about $180. I think they have dropped in price a little bit. Are you driving a Stratus or a Sebring?
really nice car i have a 06 2.7L pretty fast engine without too may problems. need to do s seafoam today tho
@sebringRT I have an 01 Sebring too, but mine is stock. I was checking out some videos on changing the battery to see if I had the correct size.....lol. When I saw this video i knew it had to be the same car.
Bonjour,
C'est quelle marque de kit carrosserie ?
awesome dude!
where did you get your body kit from? i have a 2001 sebring 4 door but i can only find body kits for 2 door
so the duraflex on andys auto sport says its for a 2 door car, i have an 02 sebring lxi and i would love to get this body kit on it, would it fit?
this car is really amazing a great work
I have the European version of the Sebring but i cant import body-kits from the us ´cause the German Traffic laws don´t allow them. and the shipping cost from US is very high ;)
where would i get the headlights like that?
I like the stock frontbumper more than the custom one tbh :/, makes it look like a mazda mx in my opinion, and maybe bigger wheels. Apart from that, good job :)
can you please tell me where you bought your lights 4:29-4:36
@crystalmono The tail lights are for a Dodge Stratus. When I put the body kit on the car I had to switch over to Stratus tail lights because they only make the kit for a Stratus.
where they can be obtained. the dumper like that???
The front and rear has to be converted to the Stratus lighting. Headlights and tail lights have to be changed. If I remember right, the body kit was acquired through Andy's Auto Sport and it you have search under Dodge Stratus not Sebring.
2.7L? How's the water pump/ timing chain?
Swapped to the 2.4. Had the 2.7. Bought it blown.
@maplecrestplayer16 I bought the grille off of eBay. They run about $70 I believe.
Where did you get the front bumper for it
You have to search for a Dodge Stratus sedan.
Ty lol I hit a Jeep fender with mine and busted my headlight just thought about redoing mine completely
did you order that bumper from andys auto sport.. been trying to find that one but cant. plz let me know where you got it. thanks
Yes I did. Highly suggest ordering the Duraflex kit though. The Andys kit is junk
right on man. thankx got the same car tryin to tune it up. couldnt find it anywhere
tell ya the spyder headlights are sick looking. thats all ive really done. and carbon fiber interior dash bezels
I am actually trying to sell the car. I've picked up a new truck and this car is back to stock mostly.
how much ?
@sebringRT Thanks for the info. It is greatly appreciated
Hi Matt...You did a great job with the car...I got one sebring exactly the same thing that you got and I wanted to lower my car...which brand of springs or suspension kit do you suggest?

By replacing the tails do you just mean tail lights and that's it?
If I have an 05 sebring convertible does the parts have to be from an 05 stratus?
The bumpers from a sedan will not fit the convertible.
@Matt Hoover
so there is no way to get a body kit on the 05 convertible?
@sebringRT sebring
Wher did you buy the body kit? i got a sebring to :)
Dodge-R/T. Plymouth-RS. Eagle-TSi. Chrysler-GT or GTC. Maybe LXi or JXi.
Damn, I know I see that car all the time. Parked at the Marathon at 28 & 67. I assume it's because you work there. Nice ride.
@BigDizzad Yea that's where I work. I worked there for almost 5 years, then quit for 9 months, and then came back. Thanks for the props. How'd you find the video?
After you took out the 2.7, what kind of engine did you put in it, and how was the fit? My 03 Sebring will need a new engine soon.
Richard Wahl Scratch that last comment, I didnt read all of the comments on this video. My bad. But in your opinion, I'm not a car guy at all, do you think if I lowered the engine mounts, a 3.5 will fit under the stock hood without causing too many other headaches? Thanks. Don't own it anymore but it was fun while I had it. Gained a lot of attention from it. People never knew one could look like that.
CBA LEDS The tail lights are for a Stratus. When I added the body kit I had to switch to Stratus tail lights because the body kit is only made for the Stratus tail lights.
so u order the parts for a stratus instead of sebring
Yes, that's correct. Everything is interchangeable.
6500? wow
No it will not fit. The Coupe is built on a Mitsu frame and is a completely different car. You have to look it up for a Dodge Stratus sedan.
Bought them off of eBay.
super carnall super :DD
just 3 things to make it perfect
Remove the vinyls, put the Chrysler badge back on the front bumper and remove the rear wing. follow these steps and you're not a ricer anymore to me! :D
