Also the Afghan Army was able to hold onto every city in Afghanistan in the 1980s-1991. They beat the Mujahedeen and ISI at the battle of Jalalabad 1989. The Mujahedeen without western support would crumble. The only reason the Republic Of Afghanistan (1987-1992) fell was Boris Yeltsin cut fuel exports causing the Air force to be grounded.
The USSR didnt make Afghanistan Communist. In 1978 the April Reveloution was done on the orders of Hafizullah Amin when the Khalq leader of the PDPA Taraki was under house arrest. The USSR had nothing to do with the April Reveloution, they were surprised when it succeeded though. From April 1978-Decemeber 1979 Afghanistan was ruled by the Khalq faction of the PDPA which was the communist faction. Now lets go back to 1973 Afghanistan had a bloodless coup where former Prime Minister and cousin of Zahir Shah, Daoud Khan seized power with the help of the PDPA. His goal was to reunite the Pashtun regions of Modern day Khyber Pakhtunkhwa aswell as Baluchistan Pakistan. The USSR strongly supported Daoud as the US had refused to support Daoud as Pakistan was a ally to the United States. During this time Islamists with the backing of the Pakistani ISI attempted a uprising but failed and fled to pakistan, and started training. Daoud Khan later recognized the Durand Line which made everyone mad. Pashtun Nationalists, the PDPA Khalq (which has a large amount of Pashtuns in it) and Parcham factions were opposed to this and the USSR was also against this. Daoud then jailed many of the PDPA members who helped him into power leading to the 1978 April Rev back to 1979 So the US began helping those same ISI backed rebels that were being trained against Daoud. Because the country just had a Reveloution there was instability so Taraki requested the USSR create a Muslim battalion featuring ethnicites that existed in Afghanistan, but the USSR never intervened during his lifetime despite his pleas. Amin after disagreements with Taraki later captured Taraki, Soviet forces were outside the building Taraki was in but didnt have the order to do anything. The Soviet leadership was shocked when Amin killed Taraki and in Operation Storm 333 killed the radical Amin (who was responsible for the mass murder of thousands of Afghans by the way) Then the PDPA Parcham faction which was a moderate Islamic Socialist faction of the PDPA took. The USSR made Afghanistan less Communist, it was Communist before the USSR intervened
Only gonna be doing one or two more military setups for MW, but I can create another Zombie Apocalypse Loadout for BF2042. But for an MW Zomb Apoc class, I would use the 725 with no stock and sleight of hand, either 1911 or magnum with oil can suppressor, molotov, decoy, perks are scavenger, high alert and tune up, field upgrade would be deployable cover to barricade zombies, and killstreaks are shield turret, care package and sentry gun. Hope you have fun with that Loadout :-)
