Hello Jeff! I’ve been watching your videos.. the how to pass part 2 videos have been extremely helpful for me to shape my own ‘self taught lessons’ for part 2! I’ve downloaded an app which gives you ADI test routes on sat nav and have been following those routes and doing commentary driving and practicing the manoeuvres along the way along with reading all the books and watching videos on TH-cam what else would you recommend I could do to give myself the best chance of a first time pass? Thanks keep up the great content you’re certainly helping me!
Hi. Thanks for the comment. Pleased to hear you are self-training for Part 2, and finding my content helpful. I'm biased of course but you should definitely enroll in our Part 2 on-line which will fully prepare you for the test with over 30 training videos plus assessments, quizzes and reflective logs to help you record your learning and development. It's the equivalent of over 20 hours in car training which would cost you about £1k. Plus can can re-watch the videos as many times as you want. If you like my TH-cam content, you'll love this course. Here's the link to the enrollment page. www.advancedadi.co.uk/offers/2VL5P3LB
Hi Jeff. I can’t thank you enough for your videos. Been advised to do anything but use a FLH however, due to funds, work and commitments, I’d gone past the end of my trainee licence and was left without a car and no suitable pupils. This was my third attempt and with your advice, I passed today for my third and final attempt. I am so incredibly grateful. Thank you.
If you wouldn't mind, could you please give us a Trust Pilot review using this link: uk.trustpilot.com/review/advancedadi.co.uk It will only take a couple of minutes, and will really help us to help more people like you. Huge congrats again and happy teaching. All the best, Jeff
I haven't officially started my part 3 training yet, but I've been watching plenty of videos from lot's of places. I think this is the only video (pt1 and pt2) I've seen that talks about how to approach the part 3 test with a full license holder, great video, much appreciated 👍
Hi @legion162 Thanks for your comment. In my experience most driving schools and trainers push you down a path which works for them but doesn't necessarily work for you. For many PDI's, using a FLH is either their best or only option. That's why I made this video. All the best and good luck with the rest of your training and Part 3 test.
No - absolutely not unless something really jumps out to you in the way they are driving which is either dangerous or illegal. You're not giving them a driving lesson. You are just trying to help them with a specific issue. If you want to learn more, please check out this free course: www.advancedadi.co.uk/offers/SA3aEJdM
In a Part 3 Test, if a full licence holder is coming up to a roundabout to take a left turn first exit, would the PDI be pro-active and ask the pupil, which lane they are going to approach in or would the PDI just watch and see if the pupil actually approaches in the correct lane (the skill being worked on would be Mirrors) ?
No, don't treat a FLH the same as a pupil. An experienced driver should know which lane to use and if you told them which lane to use that would be over instructing. If then for some reason the driver got in the wrong lane then the lesson plan would need to be adapted because a new learning need has arisen - but I very much doubt that would happen.
No. They just ask who you have bought along and the purpose of the session. For example you could say, I've bought my partner/friend etc who was recently involved in a collision where they got rear-ended at at roundabout and it's knocked their confidence, so they want me to help them with that. The examiner would probably then ask a follow up question to get a bit more info on what you plan to work on e.g. forward planning and defensive driving.

Hi, during the assessment drive would you try to fill the silence with any advice or tips?

Does the examiner ask if the pupil is a license holder or a learner?
