Operation Sealion, had it been executed immediately after Dunkirk the Germans would have had the Britons in a bad way. John Steinbeck's book The Moon Is Down talked about the occupation of England. It was a pretty good read, as I recall.
@Norm VW Nope Britain had more than 28,000 pillboxes around the coast, a million man Home Guard, a lot of tanks and artillery and the best early air warning system on the planet. Britain invented RADAR and ASDEC/aka SONAR. British squadrons became more numerous across the remainder of the war and a huge contributing factor to the defeat of the Third Reich. Operation Sea Lion was nothing like as well planned as D-Day and the longer the war continued after the Battle of Britain (which the British, won) the tougher Britain's defences got. The simple truth is that Germany lacked the necessary surface fleet to seriously trouble Britain with an invasion. The RAF, RN and British Army just kept getting stronger after the Battle of Britain.
@@Bullet-Tooth-Tony- The British Army had also left 90% of it's heavy weapons in Europe, the British economy hadn't made the full adjustment to a war economy, they hadn't the time to get their overseas colonies to get the vital records moved. They were more vulnerable than they had been at any other time. And yes, they did win the Battle of Briton, but by their own realization, just.
Another great video. Nice to see operation sealion. However I noticed the lack of AT weapons in this battle. No AT grenades, guns or rifles. You probably should added some to stop the German armoured vehicles.
It was an urban area so the British were not expecting German armour.

In reality, the Germans would've been slaughtered.
Sandhurst Military Academy actually ran an Operation Sea Lion wargame to see how the invasion would have panned out.
The umpires (both German and British) were unanimous that it would have been a bloodbath.

I understand the German high command were incredibly relieved when Operation Sea Lion was cancelled.
Oh yeah! I Love this! I enjoyed this map and it was fun seeing the Germans invade Britain and win! Hahaha! They didn't see those armoured cars coming! 🤣It was also fun seeing the Germans have landing craft. Their spies must've gotten the blueprints. 🤣

Could you try doing an alternate timeline thing where as the US and British invade Russia?
