The Warning is a band of 3 sisters. Daniela, Paulina, and Alejandra. They live in Monterrey, Mexico and have been rocking out as a band since 2012 (when they were 12, 10, and 7 years old)! Their parents loved music and they grew up watching and listening to rock concerts. Daniela (Dany) and Paulina (Pau) attended a music initiation class when they were 5 and 3 respectively. Alejandra (Ale’) attended the same class when she was old enough. They loved it. They all started classical piano lessons when they were between 6 and 7 years old. When Dany was 7 their dad bought them the Rock Band video game and they absolutely fell in love with rock music and performing on stage…. even though it was just a game. When Dany was 8 years old her dad asked her if she wanted to learn another instrument, along with piano. She chose the guitar. Pau chose the drums when she was 6, and Ale’ chose the bass at 6 (but was too small to play it until she was 7). Ale’ had been playing bass for about 1 month when they decided to play together and that was when the band was formed. In 2023 they celebrated 10 years as The Warning”. It is important to understand that their parents never pushed them to do this. This project was 100% the girl’s decision. Their parents completely supported them but never pushed them. In 2014 they made a video to send to their grandparents to show them how they had progressed in their playing. The video was too big to just email so their dad uploaded it onto TH-cam. It was a cover of Metallica’s Enter Sandman and it went viral! To date it has well over 25 million views and was shouted out by Metallica’s Kirk Hammett, as well as many other famous bands. The girls were completely caught off guard by the attention this video got and they had to make a decision- they quit school and started homeschooling in order to devote as much time as possible to their music. They were 100% committed to this project and have never slowed down since (practicing hours every day separately and even more hours together). In 2015 they released an EP called Escape the Mind. It was a mix of different kinds of songs as they sorted out their musical style. They released their first album in 2017 called XXI Century Blood (21st Century Blood). They released their second album in 2018 called Queen of the Murder Scene. It was a concept album telling the story of a young woman’s journey from desire, to love, to infatuation, to obsession, to psychotic, to murder, to remorse, and finally to suicide. It was an amazing album and was up for, and won, many Independent Music awards in 2019. In 2022 their third album (first since signing to Lava Records) called Error. It is simply amazing! Dany sings lead on about 75% if the songs. Pau sings lead on about 25% of the songs (either while drumming, or while at the keyboard, or just out front). Ale’ is a little shy about singing lead but steps in and sings lead when needed. All 3 can literally jump in and sing lead on any song if needed (with no drop-off in quality) and their harmonies in songs are simply amazing! They have opened for the Killers, Stryper, Def Leppard, Foo Fighters, Guns ‘n Roses (twice), and Muse (nine times). They have toured with Three days Grace, Halestorm and the Pretty Reckless. Over the last two years they played over 175 concerts in 14 countries including at the MTV VMAs in 2023. They met Band Maid at a festival both were playing. Not only did Metallica let them do this, they were instructed to make it their own, just change no words. I’ll tell you, as a young fella back in the day, the Black Album cassette was in my top tape deck rotation in my car (Yeah, I’m THAT old), but as far as I’m concerned this song now belongs to The Warning.

Metallica released an album called The Blacklist album. This album is the 30-year celebration anniversary of the black album and what they did was they invited many bands to do a cover of any song off that album that they like but that they didn't want to hear it played the way that they played it. They wanted to the band to completely change the song do something totally different. They wanted to be impressed with the creativity of whoever is doing the cover. So the warning with guests Alissia Cara did what you just now saw and Metallica liked it so much they put it as the first song on the album. The Blacklist album is an album of nothing but covers that are supposed to be redone completely recreated and reinvented in a totally different way and many of those bands failed but the warning did it the best and Metallica put it first on the album.

If you want some of their earliest you could try either of their 2 TEDx talks (the whole show or single songs) or their very first official music video from the title track to the first album, XXI Century Blood. For their latest I would suggest the show they did in 2022 at Teatro Metropolitan in Mexico City. Whatever you choose to try, keep in mind that with these ladies, live is better.

*Enter Sandman fun facts:* Metallica was doing a charity project to celebrate the 30 year anniversary of their *Black Album.* Metallica asked around 50 artists (not in hard rock / metal genres) to participate. Each artist got their song to cover. Was told they can do whatever they wanted to do byt *THEY COULDN'T CHANGE THE LYRICS.* Charity Project was called *Metallica Blacklist Album.* Alessia Cara (Canadian pop singer - the woman projected on the wall) was asked to participate on the album. Not The Warning. A man who wirks International business for Alessia Cara also works International business for The Warning suggested both do a collaboration. Metallica gave the okay. When The Warning got involved. They had 8 days due to a deadline to submit their finish song. So the album can go into production (processing plants was opening after COVID). Both The Warning & Alessia Cara did their parts at their own home cities since neither could travel due to restrictions. Alessia Cara & The Warning did finally played *Enter Sandman* live at The Troubadour in 2022. Sorry to say the album didn't sell well. It was 4 CD's / vinyl records. Blacklist* wasn't one for me since I'm not a Metallica fan. If that album was a double CD. I might of purchased it. Not the overblown 4 CD package it turned out to be. But to each his own.

Total badass rock stars on stage, and total sweethearts off it. Monica and Luis did an amazing job raising this trio of young rockers. And it kinda started with the game Rockband. Bonus- In 2021 Metallica asked 53 artists (including The Warning) to take any of the 12 iconic songs from their Black album and do a cover (any way they wanted to) for their Black List album, commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Black album. Alessia Cara (Canadian pop star) was also asked to participate but had no idea what to do. Because she shares the same management group as The Warning, she contacted them for help. It was difficult to do as Alessia was in Canada and The Warning were in Mexico and travel with COVID was not happening. They made it work and developed/recorded this completely re-imagined song in one week. They created the music video with the same logistical restrictions. Because of that you will see that Alessia appears as a projection on the wall in the video as she was not there. It was recorded in an abandoned textile mill outside of Monterrey, Mexico. Metallica invited Alessia Cara to participate in the Blacklist 30th Anniversary album. Alessia’a team contacted The Warning and the two groups wrote, recorded, and produced an entirely new version of Sandman in only ten days that ended up being the lead track on Metallica’s anniversary album. You just got to experience that.
I have to admit, I am not a Metallica fan, and I was sick of this song, until this version came along. A lullaby where Alessia very sweetly puts you to bed, then Dany rouses the troops, Pau shares a little prayer, the angel chorus comes to sing you to sleep, then Boom, the hammer drops. I think of this very much as the female version of the Sandman tale. So good. Delicate, powerful, soothing, strong, gentle, fierce-all at the same time. I love this one.

Three sisters from Monterrey, MX. The band started in 2012. They became The Warning in 2013. Today they are Dany, guitarist 24, Pau, drummer 21, and Ale, bassist 19.
They have opened for the Killers, Stryper, Def Leppard, Foo Fighters, Guns ‘n Roses (twice), and Muse (nine times). They have toured with Three days Grace, Halestorm and the Pretty Reckless. Over the last two years they played over 175 concerts in 14 countries including at the MTV VMAs in 2023. They met Band Maid at a festival both were playing. In 2024 they will play Shiprock, Tecate P’al Norte Festival in Monterrey, Vive Latino festival in Mexico City, tour Europe, Mad Cool festival in Madrid, and the Wacken Open Air Festival in Germany.
They are classically trained pianists; Dany & Ale have played sax in the past. All three sing lead and background vocals; Dany is the principal singer. They were inspired by the video game Rock Band and two of their songs are available on Rock Band IV. They were on the Ellen Show in 2015.
They are fully bilingual as they attended a bilingual Catholic school in Monterrey, Liceo de Monterrey. Later, all graduated high school through home schooling. They attended Berklee College of Music Summer Program in Boston in 2015.
They started as a cover band; the Enter Sandman cover launched their career. They now have 49 original songs with one being an unreleased performed song. They debuted two new unreleased songs at their Guadalajara concert; one of which was just released. No bad songs. Their newest released single, Sick, came out February 2nd. They have a rich collection of live videos, music videos and lyric videos on their channel. There are also vlogs and individual performances.

Not only did Metallica let them do this, they were instructed to make it their own, just change no words. I’ll tell you, as a young fella back in the day, the Black Album cassette was in my top tape deck rotation in my car (Yeah, I’m THAT old), but as far as I’m concerned this song now belongs to The Warning.

Metallica released an album called The Blacklist album. This album is the 30-year celebration anniversary of the black album and what they did was they invited many bands to do a cover of any song off that album that they like but that they didn't want to hear it played the way that they played it. They wanted to the band to completely change the song do something totally different. They wanted to be impressed with the creativity of whoever is doing the cover. So the warning with guests Alissia Cara did what you just now saw and Metallica liked it so much they put it as the first song on the album. The Blacklist album is an album of nothing but covers that are supposed to be redone completely recreated and reinvented in a totally different way and many of those bands failed but the warning did it the best and Metallica put it first on the album.
Late to this reaction, The Warning just released a new song on Friday and I have yet to catch up on all of those reactions. Plenty of guidance in the comments already, anything you pick will be pure gold. They haven't written a bad song yet out of their 49 or so published originals.

Metallica ask the to do it for Metallica anniversary album to the Black album, called the Black List, with 52 other artists... it happens that this son it's the first of the 53 songs on the album
The one singing at the beginning was Canadian pop star Alessia Cara, not part of the Warning Band. There is a live version of this with the Warning singing the whole song, which I prefer. I like Alessia, but I prefer Dany, the lead singer of the Warning singing the entire song.

If you want some of their earliest you could try either of their 2 TEDx talks (the whole show or single songs) or their very first official music video from the title track to the first album, XXI Century Blood. For their latest I would suggest the show they did in 2022 at Teatro Metropolitan in Mexico City. Whatever you choose to try, keep in mind that with these ladies, live is better.

Metallica was pitting out an Anniversary album to commemorate the 30th anniversary of their Black Album. They approached several artist to pick a song off the album and do a re-imagining of the song. They approached The Warning to do Enter Sandman again but to do their owed version. They collaborated with Alessia Cara and came up. with what you just reacted to.
The Warning & Cara took an old classic and reimagined it into an ethereal dark lullaby! Not only did Metallica allow it, they encouraged it
They even put it as the 1st track on their Blacklist album! Props to them for that

*Enter Sandman fun facts:*
Metallica was doing a charity project to celebrate the 30 year anniversary of their *Black Album.* Metallica asked around 50 artists (not in hard rock / metal genres) to participate. Each artist got their song to cover. Was told they can do whatever they wanted to do byt *THEY COULDN'T CHANGE THE LYRICS.* Charity Project was called *Metallica Blacklist Album.*
Alessia Cara (Canadian pop singer - the woman projected on the wall) was asked to participate on the album. Not The Warning.
A man who wirks International business for Alessia Cara also works International business for The Warning suggested both do a collaboration. Metallica gave the okay.
When The Warning got involved. They had 8 days due to a deadline to submit their finish song. So the album can go into production (processing plants was opening after COVID). Both The Warning & Alessia Cara did their parts at their own home cities since neither could travel due to restrictions. Alessia Cara & The Warning did finally played *Enter Sandman* live at The Troubadour in 2022.
Sorry to say the album didn't sell well. It was 4 CD's / vinyl records. Who needs one album (CD / vinyl) with 6 *Enter Sandman* back to back & 7 *Sad But True* back to back covers?? It is true *Enter Sandman with Alessia Cara & The Warning* led of this package. Song number one. That's only because Alessia Cara's last name started with the *LETTER C.* Songs appear in order like the Black Album. Artists appears in alphabetical order.
The Warning did a straight up cover in 2014. You did the MV for The Warning's second version. They did their *THIRD* version (Live) at the Teatro Metropolitan in 2022.
Then they did their *FORTH* version (with an assemble of live strings) in 2023 during their *X Anniversary Show.* The video has the best sound available since it's from a fan cam cellphone with multiple cam shots (cellphone).

Blacklist* wasn't one for me since I'm not a Metallica fan. If that album was a double CD. I might of purchased it. Not the overblown 4 CD package it turned out to be.

5:55 Metallica didn't just let The Warning do it, they wanted them to. This is the first track on Metallica's Blacklist album, and as far as I am concerned, it's a TW original. What could possibly kick more a** than this, you might ask? Well, the live version at Teatro Metropolitan, for example. Then there's their original song Evolve, best experienced at the MTV VMA's, although the Teatro Metropolitan version is also a great choice, and the MV is cool too. Total badass rock stars on stage, and total sweethearts off it. Monica and Luis did an amazing job raising this trio of young rockers. And it kinda started with the game Rockband. They now have a couple of songs in the game, there's even a video showing when they visited the developers, and they surprised the girls by adding one of their songs to the game.
I just started on their channel and went back to their songs and picked this one because I heard the song before but they definitely killed it. Can’t wait to see more.❤️🎶🤘🏻
