  • This animation shows the internal adjustments made by the Zurn Wilkins ZW209 Automatic Control Valve during normal operation, allowing the valve to hold constant outlet pressure regardless of changing flow rates and inlet pressure. hi.. What would happen if the pressure upsteam the control valve drops below the set point (55 psig)? will it fully open or close? really appriciate your answer... thx

      Hi, Danny. Should the inlet pressure drop below the set point, the valve will be in an open condition, and out of control. The valve requires a minimum of a 10 psi differential across the valve to remain in control.

    Are the gauges important for commissioning?

    Hi , what is the difference between this type and the type with Low-flow Bypass ? Thanks

    • @ZurnIndustries
      @ZurnIndustries  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      All ACVs of the Pressure Reducing variety have minimum
      continuous flow requirements. As long as the minimum continuous flow rate
      is above the minimum flow rate of the ACV, no low-flow by-pass is needed.
      In the event the flow rate drops below the minimum continuous flow rate of the
      ACV, a low-flow by-pass is called for. In the case of the ZW209BP, we add
      a small direct acting Pressure Reducing Valve to the backside of the ACV.
      The small PRV will handle all low-flows through 10 GPM. This is the main
      difference between the ZW209 and the ZW209BP.

      thank you for reply . one more thing , in case of no flow , will downstream pressure stay at set pressure by using the ZW209 or need to add Bypassin this case ?
