What a beautiful city! I was assigned to Kagnew Station (U.S. Army Security Agency) in Asmara from November 1969 to April 1970-loved it there; loved the people, the architecture and the food! First wife and I lived at #32 Ghebremariam street out the back gate of Kagnew; wish I could afford to take my wife now back for a visit-she would love it also!

This is really amazing. thank you for sharing it captured the beauty of Asmara beautifully. if I may I will just say the soundtrack choice though! there are so many vintage Eritrean classical music even as far back as the 1940s (Jazz), 50s and the original sound of Eritrea (the sixties) that could complement the video nicely.

For those who you don't know asmara it is hard to call it asmara now i don't know what happens to it that is ok this is not what we call asmara anymore.asmara got old like human being i want to cry like " abay aba shawl (asmara asmaray lomi kiderfela teklila keyferset kela" i am really sorry whail i am typing this realy want cry i didn't knew this happen to asmara i left it too early when it was really fresh we were proud of it and we used to call it ASMARA SAEDA 'asmara white' because it was clean pure and perfect i want to cry now to see asmara like this it is cty not human being should not get old. should fixed it renew it but completely neglected this asmara is now really really OLD ASMARA i want cray i am really sad to see the one i grew up my asmara to see like this i know every one want cry who grew up went to school all the rest in asmara. for the rest this is not what asmara is. It is only 20 years ago now totaly gone i better stop here
