Derrick Morgan is the longest reggae music legendary singers living right now, i knows him from the 1960s. I remembered Derrick Morgan is the man who did song for Jamaica independence in 1962 on August 6th, i was there as a school boy at the time.
This song cannot never goes old, the more I heard this song,it brings back memories on that day.Long life Derrick Morgan is the longest reggae music legendary singers living right now, please keep the fire burning.

Derrick Morgan one of the long time legendary singer, but there are other long before him .Like Alton Ellis, Harry Belafonte is one of the very 1st Jamaican who have a record. But the man behind the Jamaican music is a man named Vere Johns, went to the United States in 1924 started the music talent show there and. Returned to Jamaica in 1949 and started the music talent show, he useto have a show on RJR radio station back then. He useto have a show at several theatre, Palace, Majestic, and the ambassador in Trench Town, he also recovered several Jamaican singers. John Holt, Roy Shirley, Alton Ellis, Millie Small, Desmond Dekker,Monty monmorris, and several other singers. Vere Johns died in 1966,but with all what people in saying. My uncle been playing music long before Derrick Morgan was born, and he told me that men to music was before other music they are talking about. When Vere Johns returned to Jamaica, most of them were little children.

I was there and lots of us were screaming as hell.. This year was amazing Bob andy, I threes, Gaylads, lots of rudies ska and reggae lovers dancing and cheering him up..
