This is a mash up of war pigs, killing in the name of - Rage against the machine, Paranoid - Sabbath, solo from Crazy train - ozzy and a bit of paranoid added in with some improvising, enjoy all seamlessly blended.
A Street-Corner musician that pulls a crowd like that..... and..... has them so enthralled that they are jumping in unison !!! This boy has something different !! The energy he brings to everything he does, is intense !
Born in 1963 and grown up (in Germany) with so much diversity. Pink Floyd, Kraftwerk, Fleetwood Mac, ELO, JMJ, SAGA, the Eagles, David Bowie, Blondie, and so on. Ren is a miracle to know so much about music history. And it is this quality which led me into his rabbit hole. And the fact he brought psychological problems to a broad audience. Without annoying!
I've watched about 8 of your Ren reactions and enjoyed them a lot but with THIS you have got a new fan. Seeing you rock out and feel the music not caring what you looked like is seriously respectable. Keep up the grind brother. Love from Pakistan.
You hit the nail on the head and recognised what makes The Big Push one of the finest bands around. They are all super talented of course but the real beauty of the band is there are no egos. When the song dictates, they are happy to take a back seat and let another take the lead and spotlight. They play purely for the love of the music and my god doers that emanate out.
As a old hippy rock chick I am it was beautiful to see you reaction to the old metal heads lyrics and get excited with the Guitar playing 🎸😂😂 I am a bit obsessed with Ren now I've been introduced to his work and the big push is amazing I'm not a rapping kind of gal but I love meaningful lyrics so anything telling a story I'm willing to give it a go Thanks for the entertainment 👍❤️ I'm new to this channel but enjoy watching 😁
Nice. I love this cover. I think one of my favorites of theirs that shows all of their different personalities and singing voices is their cover of Fatboy Slim’s Praise You. EDIT: Also, 12:19… fucking awesome haha
Can you imagine being on the street this day? The I Shot the Sheriff medley, this Black Sabbath medley, Watch Out (their own song), and Paint it Black were such an awesome set. The energy abd talent was like a full concert.
every time i watch a reaction to a song from this performance my mind is blown🤯 im like these people are getting this experience of musicianship, face to face, with such tangible soul and emotion, for free. wherears you can pay $100+ to see rock gods to play the riffs you love like bored robots (frusciante excluded) 200 feet away,, its just very ironic and says a lot about the music industry and the value of art and how people like ren are trying to change that experience. makes me optimistic for the future of music. although we are all sharing this experience thru the biggest monopolizer platform from one of the richest most powerful corps on the planet so hey,,🤷♂️
I love going down the REN rabbit hole with you and your guest … Great reaction video… I just about died when you started jamming out during the guitar solo! 😀
There's a reason why the music from this time period is still so good. It said something. Some of the stuff today has no message, no depth. I think that's why Ren and Hi Ren has taken hold. The message is relevant and universal.
We just gotta dig deeper in the pile to hear good music now. It's a bad signal to noise ratio. Basically most music we hear is pushed by corporations trying to make money.
@@jasonguest5820 I love to support the independent artist. It was a blessing in disguise when Ren's contract 'expired' with the subsidiary of Sony. Middle fingers to labels!
This time period had just as much vapid nothing music as we have today; it's just that it took a LOT more to release an album or single and it's mostly the profound stuff that sticks around.
War Pigs was from the Paraniod album which was released in 1970.And yes, Ozzie did do the bat thing. The bat was thrown on the stage (the person who threw it said that it was already dead). Ozzie thought it was a rubber bat and bit it's head off, realising his mistake too late (he was heavily medicated at the time). He had to have rabies shots.
Ozzy also bit the head off of a dove. They were in a conference room with record executives and his wife / manager thought it would be cool to release a few doves in the room. One of the doves landed near (or on, I don't remember) Ozzy, and Ozzy picked it up and bit its head off. I don't think the record execs were too impressed. lol. There are pictures of it, Ozzy's goofy expression is priceless.
It's a huge mash-up. They start with War Pigs from Black Sabbath, they weave in Killing in the Name by Rage Against the Machine and transition to Paranoid by Black Sabbath with some Crazy Train by Ozzy Osbourne thrown in for effect. It's all perfectly blended to basically create a brand new song. If you like this, you ought to check out the original artists. Black Sabbath (mid to late 70s) was essentially the start of Heavy Metal as we know it today. There's so many great artists out there in every genre if you look in the right places.
Great reaction . Ren , the big push and everyone he collaberates with are killing it ❤❤❤ love this stuff on streets , Raw music from the heart for the people ♥️
🤘🏼Hell F’KN YEAH - BP bringing the metal headbanger energy. Dude, you don’t know how happy this makes me to see you *VIBING* so f’kn hard to this, especially Romain’s guitar solo… i mean, Romain has incredibly tasty jazz licks, but here he is channeling RAW ROCK ENERGY!!! 🤘🏼🎧🤟🏼
Mashup of war pigs, killing in the name, paranoid, bit of crazy train, back to war pigs and ending off with killing in the name! One of my favourites they did was Guns of Brixton- The Clash I love these guys and love your reactions to Ren and The Big Push and his busking with Sam and songs with Chinchilla! Can’t wait for more, I think it’s really awesome that you keep introducing people to Ren!
this is BY FAR one of my favourite reactions to this and also one by you in general because i LOVE the energy you bring - just seeing you get lost in the music, especially a genre different than what you usually rock with.. was AMAZING! Keep up the amazing reactions brotha!
I had this conversation with a random dude I met at a gig of Postmodern Jukebox (Modern Jazz). My roots lay in rock, but I have always had a broad appreciation and love for different genres. I said this to him: As I see it and my experience of talking to people that are more rooted into rap/hip-hop, and have never dipped their toes into listening to rock/metal and so on, are the most likely sum of people that would like all the different genres of rock. Why, the raw and real emotion. In my opinion, rap/hip-hop and rock/metal are closer to one another than in any other genre. By the way, I like the reaction and I always do when watching your channel! Peace Out! 🎸🤘
Thank you for introducing me to this song and your authentic reaction to it. Just a few months ago my mother, who grew up in the 50s, finally relented to using a tablet and finding out what that TH-cam thing is that people keep talking about. She is now a big fan of Queen, Ozzy Osborne, and some guy who camps/lives off the grid with his dog in Alaska (maybe Siberia?). I showed her "Hi Ren" about 10 days ago, and I can honestly say she's now as obsessed as me in discovering Ren's art. I actually got up half way through this video to go see my mother to be able to watch her reaction to both you and a Ren/Ozzy song (how perfect is that). It was hilarious. You really made her laugh, and she got a lot of joy seeing your joy. We're both new subscribers to you, and it’s quite wonderful to share this Ren journey with each other. I just wanted to let you know you have two older-than-you women following your footsteps down the rabbit hole. So thanks again for introducing us to a variety of new music. It's quite somethin' hearing my mom use the word "bars". ✌️
This was your best reaction yet (and I’ve seen all your Ren reactions)! Loved watching you rock out to the guitar solo! Need to react to “Watch Out”, one of their originals. Love you brother, subscribed!
Dude you had me belly laughing for a good minute when you lost your shit. We're right there with you! Keep doing Ren and The Big Push reactions. We love it. Also, please do a reaction for Ren's song - "Fire" - it's my favourite song of his
I really enjoyed this reaction of yours BP - watching you completely rock out to the guitar solos in this Big Push mash up. You talk about being on a rabbit hole journey - my journey is going the other way - I never really thought I liked rap music and am currently exploring that - this is the sort of music I was brought up on. Enjoying watching your exploration.
Your reactions are by far my favorite. Ren…… is pure talent and FIRE. Like you in a way: rap and hip-hop was not my go to like rock/metal/alternative music was. Ren has me delving into a lot of rap going back to Run DMC. Rens all over the map and has a unique ability to bring us together with his music.
Love the reaction 👌👌🫶 I grew up in the 90s too listening to american hip hop (methodman was my god when I was a teenager 😂😂😂) and uk garage and grime but there was definitely something special about the 60s and 70s this cover is amazing and their talent singing and on the guitar is so good 🙂🙂
Great reaction. At 12 minutes you looked like I felt the first time I saw this. Brilliant and I want to see Ren (and his friends) up their getting the recognition they deserve. I believe reactors like you will help make that happen.
Precious makes me cry every time. 😢 such a simple, beautiful little song with that wailing guitar solo in the middle❤ and the "book" video with turning pages of lyrics🥰 . 😢
Really enjoying your reactions! What you said about the Nineties was true fantastic decade! We might have been meeting in the middle from different ends! Dude! Watching you catch that metal vibe was epic...you would truly enjoy a metal rabbit hole. Metal, like hip hop has fire lyrics that can pack a punch. You should totally go there.❤
BP - like you I'm not a rock nor metal fan at all but there's just something about Ren that makes even genres that wouldn't normally float my boat sends me off into unchartered waters for an amazing enjoyable ride. (He's done the same with people who say "I've never like rap, but now since Ren...".). and it was just soo enjoyable watching you having your own little top deck ocean liner cruise after-party - especially at 12:25 - I was belly laughing in my workplace kitchen - carry on vibing like no one's watching. The Big Push are amazing - the gel they have with each other is so apparent and complement and lift each other perfectly. Can you imagine a 2 day Ren & Friends festival Red Rock including The Big Push, Sam Thompkins, Chinchilla, Eden Nash?! Props to you for knowing War Pigs was anti war protests and yeah - something was very, very off 2020, so many of us sensed it straight away... Thank God for Ren, our Warrior of Light bringing some much needed Light to the Darkness
OMG it is so fun to watch you jamming out, knowing that it's your first time hearing it! Personally, I was like, the littlest rocker when I was a kid, and while this song wasn't my favorite, it brings back memories of my weekend nights haunting the rolling-skating rink. They always played this and "Life in the Fast Lane" by The Eagles (both songs are older than me) during speed-skating time. Good times.
Love how hyped you were! You are in my top 3 reactors. Love when you bring in friends for new reactions to Ren and you help them discover him and his exceptional talent. Keep doing what you do, love it.
I actually low key love everything that Ren has made be it Solo or with The Big Push. But in your journey you have reacted to the Hunger but his true rap star shines in Losing it (FISHER rap retake). I think you would seriously enjoy it. I checked out you new video drop today" Never Quit" and love the easy vibe and positive message. It will be rocking the workout list👍. I think the first time I heard you was through my obsession with Tech. Serious was pure flames. It's good to see you keep that fire stoked.
Your reaction to this is amazing!!!! I remember when I was younger that I was offput by the band name Black Sabbath and was reluctant to listen to them as a Christian, but later learned more about the lyrics and the band and I love them now. I even read Ozzy's autobiography.
You are great, Black Pegasus!! So fantastic to watch your musical Renaissance and your willingness to appreciate new musical genres, different from what you have been used to. Love your reactions
this could be my favourite reaction you have done - just the joy in connecting with rock - it's awesome that you are embracing different types of music - respect!
As you seem to be gettin some rocknroll metal vibes (where i come from), it's thanks to you and Ren that i realy start to enjoy some rap stuff. So thanks mate. Also "hi ren" is the dopest shit this world needs right now.
I think that’s one of the great things about good bands, covering some of these old classics, because in this brave new world that we live in where all content is spoonfed through algorithms and targeted only to things that it knows we will like, the younger generations are never going to have the chance to just randomly experience some of these classics without it being done by a band that they already like. Thanks for doing your part to share this music to a wider audience.
You are right. Start with War Pigs, going to Paranoid, Romans Guitarsolo starts with the riff of Crazy train, go back to War Pigs and end with Killing in the Name from Rage against the machine. Black Sabbath are the founder of Heavy Metal so it sounds often more like Hard Rock.
Seeing you jam to this and actually enjoy it makes my heart so happy. It's never too late to expand your horizons , and watching this through a rappers perspective is so fun ❤❤❤. Your daughter is so lucky to have such a cool dad
This is a mash up of war pigs, killing in the name of - Rage against the machine, Paranoid - Sabbath, solo from Crazy train - ozzy and a bit of paranoid added in with some improvising, enjoy all seamlessly blended.
Came here to say this exact thing
Black keys rift before Killing in the name of.
Wasn’t Sweetleaf mixed in that too ?
Hey BP. If you watch NFL. The guitar solo is Crazy Train. It's the opener for the Rams and the Patriots.
Yes
I am always so jealous of the crowd in his busking videos. I SOOO want to be there.
Ditto

And for Ren, his retake of right here, right now and also bittersweet symphony!
Absolutely right here right now

One of the best mash-ups ever. The transition from War Pigs in to RATM(killing in the name of) to Paranoid. This is crazy good.
Do the Paint it Black cover too! It was the last song in this busking session and the energy was incredible
🔥🔥
Absolutely! It’s such a bop.
You must be 200 iq with that skill to recommend great songs . It's a honest compliment not sarcasm.
And Gorran tells everybody to leave before the police come . . .
might as well do the whole gig "watch out" next, then finish it off with "paint it black" and the crowd going ballistic takes it to another level

12:19 now THAT is what I call a reaction, I laughed so much, also respect for keeping it real.
Praise you is such an awesome cover. I love the these boots medley in the laundrette. And Englishmam in new York. And bongo bingo 😂
It has been so wild to be in the same Ren rabbithole as the man who taught me to understand classes in Python, thanks for your work Corey!
