Thank you for the overview. A little patience will go a long way with this product. I experienced some difficulties but after waiting for the robot to fully charge, all the functionality was available for me. Mapping needed to be performed first, then scanning the QR code for the mop got the whole product going in 15 minutes; after charging. Again, thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
These comments are ridiculous. It took me 20 minutes from opening the box to the Roomba mapping my main floor.
Pay no attention to the trolls complaining about setup. It is very easy.
Glad it worked out for you
Hey, for use the mop, you have to scan the mop bin QR code that has in the top. After that the function Vacuum and Mop will be available. There is not that aspiration when mopping. Ps.: I learned it in other youtube video, just with the instruction, I wasn’t able to figure it out.
PS. 2: Not considering the lack of instruction, I am really enjoying my roomba 5+
Hey so my mom wants one, she wants the i5, but shes worried about it mopping the rugs she has? She has one under the table in the dinning room and we are wondering is there a way that on the map you can mark it and say “vacuum here but dont mop”?
@@Tika_24get the j5 combo you can mark it as no mop zones so it doesn’t mop there
just got one today and looking to see how it all works. Did you do a 2nd video for the i5?
Mine arrived today. Between the included instructions and some TH-cam searches I got it up and running no problem. The "mop" had be baffled for a bit as well. Gotta scan that QR code!
So I have a shark ultra AI and mine's terrible at mapping. How well does this vacuum do when you do room by room cleaning? I had the i3 when they introduced the mapping feature to that model and I ended up returning it because every time I sent it to the master bedroom it would go totally somewhere else and I was wanting to see how this model does on room by room cleaning. If it goes to the room you tell it or if it wonders off
As someone mentioned, you have to scan the QR code on the top of the mob bin in order to add it and use it. Otherwise it sucks the water off the pad and tells you the bin is full.
Hey, I appreciate and like your videos. However, I just got this product, and set up was fairly easy. I agree that the mop installation instructions could be clearer, but overall, the process was fairly straightforward.
You're welcome
Mine didn’t come with a virtual wall sensor. Was that included? 10:31
No it’s extra and worth it
I just got mine and it will not connect, the QR code that's with it doesn't work...I'm past frustrated.
Thanks, dad
You're welcome
Yeah, that set up was ridiculous. I have the Roborock and it’s more streamlined and easier.
I'm "just an ol lady" and it took me six minutes, from a wheelchair… Maybe start over?
Worst directions I have ever never seen with this device.... From connection to wifi and finishing installation took 4 attempts before it would connect and work. QR didn't't recognise and had to setup manually which took 4 attempts. First clean did come up with map option which it is currently doing. I have found a few dust clumps where it had been?????
■■■yikes...probably too complicated to set up and use for most people.
Thank you. After watching this I am going to stick with my regular "push and sneeze" vacuum cleaner.
I think you're just too disorganised and are jumping about trying to do too many things at once. If it needs to be charged, then leave it to charge first. Then get the vacuuming definitely sorted and know how that functionality works. Then move onto the mopping. Be a bit more methodical with your approach and you'll find it all just works fine.
So you have to have an empty 6 feet of wall space with nothing on it and an additional 4+ feet with nothing in front of it. Well guess I will be returning this Christmas gift. This should come with a big disclaimer on the front of the box that says the robot requires its own private bedroom.
I have it a few inches from a dresser on the left and a plant to the right, and it works fine. I just make sure nothing is a couple feet directly in front of it.
i can't believe you made me watch 2 videos and still don't show me how to make it work! if you are making a "how to" video, and cannot figure out how to do the thing, maybe don't post it (at least until you do figure it out and can add the solution). i resent you wasting my time twice.
Too much hustle … to set up …they need to make it more simple or they will love customers to competition
This product certainly failed the useability test. There is no way the common person is going to want to go through all that crap set up this vacuum.
