    Great video Chris!.... Just wanted to mention, we now make a "short" upper dovetail for the R2 that is also A35 ready....Also for the last few years allour tilt extensions have 3 3/8-16 threaded holes on them.... quite a few uses on that one as you pointed out.

    As an AC I'm usually expected to be the one to providing most of these, not the operator. Usually they only give me any plates specific for compatibility with their rig, be it gimbal or steadicam

      That’s a little lazy in my opinion. I try and make it as painless and smooth as possible. It’s a complex tool, why make it more so?

    PB Swiss. Yes. A man of fine taste. Replace the third crescent wrench with the Knipex 86 03 150 Mini Pliers. Best out.

      Good tip, I’ve never owned those but have seen them around. Self adjusting right?

    • @nzclassic1
      @nzclassic1 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@chrisherr Push button quick adjustment, they double as pliers and the design allows for a ratcheting motioning. Beautiful design. I can't remember the last time I reached for a regular crescent wrench. The Knipex is too good!

    If you have the interest/time, could you do an overview on your Ronin 2 Rig and some of the specific parts you use? I've always thought about upgrading to the 2, but am a bit overwhelmed with how much of a step up it would be.

    Tried to order couple of stuff from your website but the Low Mode Bungees for Ready Rig (Pair) 25-40 LBS isn’t available & the discount code didn’t work

    Chris, do you still use Movi Pro, or exclusively Ronin?

  • @MatthewCarmody

    Thanks for the info. What would you do if a nightmare occured and this, for example, got lost in transit when flying? Do you have a backup case for emergencies?

    • @chrisherr
      @chrisherr  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don’t have a backup case per say, I would very quickly get with whatever local AC’s I’m working with to figure out a solution. You could also distribute critical copies of plates into different cases.

    • @MatthewCarmody
      @MatthewCarmody ปีที่แล้ว

      I see. That makes sense. I have nightmares about critical stuff getting lost and/or stolen.

      You’ve got to realize the aspects of the job that are under your control and not. If something out of your control goes wrong and someone faults you for it, it’s them that is inexperienced.

      @MatthewCarmody ปีที่แล้ว

      @@chrisherr I totally agree with understanding what's under your control. Happy gimbaling and always looking forward to your content and insights.
