Stu, did you buy the top tapered bricks or cut them yourself. Secondly are they harder or otherwise treated bricks to resist surface frost damage due to water sitting on the top?
Nice video. Self-taught beginner here. You mind if I pick your brain? When doing that curved section how many of those half-bricks do you typically lay at a time before setting the level on it?
I suppose you could check them individually but it would be pretty slow? Do you also get the two bricks either side of the curve nice and level and then lay between them making sure none are too high or low? Those brick on edges, the wedge shaped ones, did you cut 'em yourself or do you get them especially made?
I would love to learn bricklaying.
Sloppy, butter full head joints!! takes time to come back and tuck point and fill the joints!! Not sure I get your method
Technical question: could you explain what is the reason to mix concrete blocks nad bricks?
The blocks are to retain all the hardcore and surface matériels that will go into the drive. They are laid on concrete with rebar inserted then concrete poured in. Only the bricks will be visible when finished.
Hiya Stuart can you please tell me if the brick on edge on boundary walls should have some sort of capillary grove to protect the wall from rain damage I've seen them done with a double tile under the brick on edge to protect the wall .

Years ago we got what we needed to cut them in now they do t care just build it with 4o mill perps
