I'm sick of SWSH talk! 👋😀 Totally agree that SV Base Set is under-rated. Love the Pidgeot line in Obsidian Flames + the Gloom. That Steelix card from PR is AWESOME!!! I feel like they did Fuecoco dirty with his evolutions. Glad someone is talking about SV Era cards!
I actually like the Fuecoco line 😬 That gloom is pretty awesome I do like that card as well as the Pidgeot line too good call.
@@Itwasneveraphasecards I LOVE Fuecoco in the TV show... but his evolutions look a little clown-like to me. I will say that the SIR in Paldea Evolved is dope as a card, and I love the line, but I just hoped for more for my boy Fuecoco, haha
The Garchop is really awesome! Super slept on, I think its super low on peoples list simply because theres so much else to chase right now, but as other cards are gotten or get out of reach its gonna pop off

I didn’t open sv base. I started with 151 went backwards to swsh. Went to lgs today and was flipping through a guys binder and so many of sv base set stood out to me. I think ppl are sleeping on it

That obsidian Charizard is hard to grade. Look at the % psa 10 of those graded. That’s why it’s so much more expensive.
Yes it is I agree but still a viable grading play if you can look at copies at a card show or your LGS
I think most cards from OBF were hard to grade. From what I've opened, they're almost all factory fucked corners or OC. In the long run though? If you can get some of the art rares in 10s that could mean good things for the POP and the overall growth and value.
Yeah I mean I’m collecting the grades IR’s because I love the art and they are really tough to grade. I kept trying to buy the nicest raw copies I could find but all of them had issues on the back even if they were well centered. Like the print quality is truly horrendous and not worth trying to find a good grade candidate in my opinion. The time you will spend finding one could be better spent making money doing something else.
The ancient legendary beast SIRs are underrated imo great potential

Thanks for the video. Quick silly question. If its not about the collecting ( cause of course people have different taste about fave pokemon) , making a move to buy a single card only for a future sell, would be still okay to pick a psa 9 ?
Great question! In some cases yes, but often PSA 9 sells for less than raw. So I would lean towards buying raw and if it looks perfect you can grade it and get a 10 but a 9 doesn’t have as much upside.
@@Itwasneveraphasecards Being in Europe is a little difficult for everyone here to keep up with prices that you have there , imagine those prices you mention for psa 10 singles cost 20-30$ more due to import taxes if someone grades at psa. same thing with boxes since pokemon centers are out of europe. So i asked only with that in mind, since the market is different , owning a 9 would still hold a good value. thanks for replying so fast
Heres the deal….. do not waste your money chasing 10’s…its a fallacy. Its subjective anyways so your 9 could be a 10 any other day you crack and regrade it unless its obviously OC or corners are knocked…. You can buy 4 9’s for the price of one 10 in some instances. I would rather have more cards, which if they are 9’s, are still mint versus paying a premium for a 10. Yes the value on a 10 jumps dramatically in a lot of instances but you said collecting 9’s…. Your happiness and wallet will appreciate it and you will still feel collecting your chases in 9’s I promise…

So would you say collecting a few if every SIRs are is a good call? Then get some psa10s if I can afford them?
Yes I think that’s smart. Even more upside if your grading them yourself. You can always wait to grade to make sure the 10 value is worth it before grading. Just don’t chase the newest SIRs when the sets first release the prices are usually really high.

What are your thoughts on temporal forces ?
I personally don’t like temporal forces that much. While I admit the artworks look nice I don’t like those versions of the Pokemon that much. For me I’m avoiding singles and only investing in booster boxes for Temporal. If some of the SIRs drop I might pick some up
If you are not stocking up on paldea evolved and temporal forces then you are a fool…they are the top two sets out of S&V so far….the market has picked them as the favorites as of now. So boxes at $89-$95 is really the move

Two things. I paused the video to write this. You have really really got to watch the "ums" like every 5th word is um and it got really distracting. Great content. Watch the "ums"
Secondly, yeah man. Lots of great stuff in these sets. Ive beem picking up the arts that are amazing to me, the keldeos, deerling/sawsbuck, deoxys, darkrai, lumineon. All these arts just pop out everytime i see them. And when SWSH gets pushed off the shelves and sorely 2ndary market.....well...old and busted. New hotness.
Miradion and koradion are gonna be 40/50$ cards. I think the amount of plain rare of the two (an $!@%ing dudunspare i hate whoever made him a rare and scyther a common"( are really putting bad taste for them in ppls mouths....but they will come around

yes swsh hype is annoying me
As a long time trader, you don't realize just how different swsh and sv are. SARs are SUPER common. They never will hit the same level as alt arts. I've seen countless 151 SARs, but only a few of each kind of alt art over the past year. I have all alt arts btw. The only thing that MAY rise in value is Temporal since they do have worse pull rates.

Not really. The Paldean Evolved Magikarp isn't even a SIR. It's a IR. Yet it's quite hard to pull it due to the amount of IRs in the set.
