Hello, I'm a 2nd-year BSIT student from Surigao city. Still thinking a few ideas for future and actually got some but not covered in this video somehow I think. I'm thinking of something like a server-based diskless computer system kiosk for com-shop that involves three users which is the Costumer, Staff, Admin. I am interested in kiosks because I would like the system to be gaming only for the costumers. I don't like allowing users/customers to download or delete files. I wonder if this could be acceptable or already existing.

Hello, since you mentioned you're a grade 12 student, I don't think it's close to the kind of things I mentioned here. Iyong mga suggestions ko rito ay para sa mga 4th year IT students at doon lang talaga iyon appropriate. Don't worry, kung pagagawan man kayo ng small Capstone Project, they'll make sure naman na iyong mga kaya ninyong gawin iyon. Good luck!

You could think about Analytics, something that will give insights based on the daily activities of a person, such as analytics about the spending activities of a person, or a food/movie/book recommendation app based on the random things a person likes. Since you said that this is like a preparation for your capstone, you are free to think as if you're creating an app/system without actually making one.

What do you mean "pwedeng gamitin sa mga nabanggit"? Pwedeng gamiting ano? IDE? It's always up to you kung saan ka comfortable. I code in CodeBlocks when I use C++ dahil doon ako comfortable. I use IntelliJ naman if Java dahil doon ako mas comfortable kung Java gamit ko.

You mean if there's a capstone bang hindi need gumawa ng application? Sa other course, yes. But in IT, no. Capstone Projects in IT are mostly software projects.

You better ask the panelist for it since sila naman ang magde-decide. But if you're passed with major revisions or conditional pass, dapat alamin ninyo kung ano iyong mga required ninyong gawin for you to be considered passed talaga. Talk to them.
Sir, baka po pwedeng paelaborate ng mga needs sa Game Dev? including possible programming languages, as well as yung mga possible questions from the panel, at yung category ng game na dapat idedevelop. nacucurious lang din ako kasi isa siya sa mga gusto kong gawin as capstone. So far, yung mga vids mo ang pinagbabasehan ko ng mga guides ko for today as preparation for capstone and gusto ko lang po magthank you sa inyo. Keep it up po!
Hi, thank you! Hindi ako actually adept sa Game Dev, pero mula sa mga past defense ng mga students na na-handle ko, Unity at Unreal Engine ang madalas nilang gamitin. Just make sure na lang na kapag magpre-present ka ng game, clear ang goals, may story, hindi na siya 2D, at masagot mo iyong mga questions like: "Paano ka kikita sa game? Sinong mga target players? Magugustuhan ba ng mga target players mo iyon?" Very important din ang tutorials/how to play the game. Kapag walang ganoon o kaya ay nakalimutan, dehado ka na agad.
Pwede poba sa capstone yung mga project katulad ng Arduino at raspberry pi na mga ai app na pag gagawa ng robot or kahit anong machine na magagamit ?
Hello, iyong mga ganitong klaseng project ay mostly pang-Computer Science (BSCS) na program. Sa BSIT kasi, mostly mga software-related. Pero suggest ko rin na itanong mo rin sa inyong subject adviser para sure.

Hi, unfortunately these are all the ideas I have so far. I suggest that you think of variations ng mga nabanggit ko rito or kahit doon sa part 2 nitong vid. Research din kayo ng kahit mga existing na and try to come up with a new idea from those. Hindi naman kasi kailangang unique na unique talaga ang mai-propose ninyong subject. Good luck!

If you are under the BSIT or BSIS program, you're more suited on software-based projects. But if you're under BSCS or Computer Engineering, you're more aligned with hardware-based projects.

Kung ako ang tatanungin, a Payroll System is common, something na acceptable lang i-propose during Software Engineering course. But in a Capstone, parang kulang, mukhang mahihirapan kang maipa-accept ito--unless, may mai-offer kayong something unique along with it, or some innovation sa payroll, like dagdagan siya ng mobile app? Parang ganoon. But don't lose hope. Malay ninyo payagan pa rin kayo. Depende pa rin naman iyan sa desisyon ng panelists ninyo or ng inyong subject adviser. Good luck!

Hi, about that, it's better to ask your subject adviser. Formats differ per school kasi, and it's better to follow the format that your school requires.

@@meynardogenerale1455 Hi, I apologize. I kinda assumed na ang mga nanonood ng content ko ay students, that's why. Regarding sa format, I can only provide a rough outline ng buong document. There are like 5 chapters. Chapter 1 is more on problem statement and objectives. Chapter 2 is about RRLs; 3 Technical Background; 4 Test Results; and 5 Conclusion. That's how I remember it. But maybe I can make a video out of it din, once na mahanap ko iyong docs ng project namin dati. I hope nakatulong.

Agree, Sir. Gone are those days na simpleng website o information system ang maipo-propose na title. Dapat may inclusion na ng automation, analytics, even iyong paggamit ng mga smart gadgets, etc. Medyo tumataas na ang standards sa title proposal pa lang.

Hello Sir, I am a 3rd-year BSIT Student and me and my group are currently struggling with our concept proposal. I am hoping if you could give me some feedback about this topic that I want to propose. I am planning to develop an app that focuses on helping its users with anxiety or just wants someone to talk to, like a friend. The main feature of the app is the voice record option which lets the user vent about an issue they're dealing with at work or simply reflect on their day. I am struggle on to how make it unique and be possible approved. Thank you Sir!
if your focus users are with anxiety dapat ang staff mo ay Professional counselors. You can have a voice record Upload option parang diary. Then pwede ka rin mag add ng sound wave analyser na pwede syang mag rate ng voice, kung super anxiety ba sya o nasa relax mood. Have a recommended sound/music playlist na nakaka inspire running in a background.

I still don't know how to call it but I'm planning on making an informative and support website where we can educate people about mental illnesses. Where people who are suffering can seek help and also interact with other people who are in a similar situation as them.
Users can can chat and it like a social media or community forum site. I will also construct an app consisting of its chat system.
It's a good idea pero you need to be specific kung aling mental illnesses ang sakop ng project, because if not, you will be forced to take on everything under it. E saglit lang naman ang Capstone course. And also, dapat may naka-ready kayong maganda-gandang answer kung bakit hindi na lang sa facebook groups ito gawin, dahil pwede naman silang mag-interact doon. Dapat may mas edge ang gawa ninyo compared sa mga existing na. But with the idea, overall it's okay. Good luck with it.

Hello, for data-driven category, I recommend na i-try mong i-research iyong topics about business intelligence or business analytics, mga software na more on "forecasting" like accounting softwares, budgeting, etc. Sila iyong mga klase ng software na talagang data-driven ang approach.

kung anong kayang gawin ng python, I think kaya rin naman siyang gawin ng ibang language. Just think of a project na in-demand ngayon like web apps, MIS, any systems na may analytics, or gumagamit ng machine learning, or may forecasting features. Mga ganoon. Good luck!

Hello, may other schools na individual ang kanilang thesis, especially sa mga grad schools, and meron din namang by group ang kanilang thesis. Nung sa college namin, by group ang thesis nung sa mga CS. Pati rin sa school na pinagtrabahuan ko, by group din (pero open ang option na magsolo).

Hi! Pwede kang mag-start sa pag-aaral ng mga software, mga system designs. If too advanced for you, then maybe you could start on Fundamentals of Information Technology, then step by step, learn how to program, how to setup a database, hanggang sa matuto kang gumawa ng sarili mong system. That way, mame-make sure mong ready ka na for a capstone project (if IT ang kurso mo)

depends whether your capstone course is just for one semester or split into two semesters. if one sem, then it might take 4 months, 8 months if two sems.
