I do wish my dad was more involved while growing up. He wanted boys (he told us) and got girls. Had a lot of issues with PTSD from his childhood and Vietnam. Normally, he was there but was about 8 beers into the night. Don't get me wrong, I love my dad, but I wish he would have done things like this with us. He's been gone since 1994 and it's still hurts.

I did talk with a psychic (don't judge me) and he then told me he did love me and sorry for all the wrongs growing up. "I love you" was never said. Talks with my mom said it also happened in her and my dads houses growing up. Husbands family was the same too. I refused to allow that to happen when I got married. I can't have kids but do have a step son. He has women issues thanks to his mom but I try to let him know that I love him. I hate to see history repeat itself.
