- INSANE DAY FISHING A SUPER FLOODED RIVER!!! I drove out to the Susquehanna River anticipating a slow, relaxing day of fishing for bronzies. When I arrived, the river was RAGING, the color of chocolate milk, and 7 feet higher than normal. Immediately I considered changing locations, but boy am I glad I didn't... because I hooked into a fish of a lifetime!

I spooled it with 8 LB test mono for lighter lures, gave it some practice casts and found that it did cast well th-cam.com/users/postUgkxSlytCJqozTF7EbdP4LWP-HUXf9WRDJ0e , except that the anti-backlash setting had to be turned up almost all of the way to keep the "overcasts' ' down. I disassembled it, and found that if I potted some "shim washers" behind that anti-backlash magnet assembly, it got the magnets closer to the spool without rubbing, and I could get better control with about a 6 to 7 out out 10-Max setting. I also noticed that the handle shaft had some internal end play, maybe only 2 or 3 thousands of an inch, but it's still noticeable. If the anti-backlash and shaft tolerances were "tightened up" this would be a fantastic value. I've only used it for 4 days of fishing in a month's time, but I plan on keeping it.

Fall is the best time to catch a trophy muskie. Most seasoned muskie guides agree that September and October are the peak trophy months. The water temperature drops to the mid-60s and muskies start putting on fat for the upcoming winter. Spring tactics will work in early fall, although you should fish with large lures. During the winter I actually love going out for muskies in the winter, when the water gets high it pushes them in towards the bank, if you find any nice still pockets in the future, throw a paddle tail and just bounce it off the bottom slowly back, that’s how I always fished for them at this time of year.

It’s crazy because you haven’t post that many videos or anything like that. Your have but they have been very sporadic and on and off and you still hit one Mill I’d still enjoy your videos more then anyone in the googan squad.
I live in Minnesota, and every summer when we go fishing I always use a spinner bait with a red spoon at the end which always catches bass and northern, and from time to time, baits muskies.
