My high school counselor called me in to tell me I had been offered a 4 year university scholarship. I became enraged, jumped up and told him I have been waiting years to be done with their vile institution and had no intention of going anywhere near another. He was astonished.

I am definitley looking into a snowglobe, retired Infantry Paratrooper and in College lol. They forced me to get weekly covid tests because I refused the "vacation" that they forced into everyone.
Still insane that I look have at people in the face who enforced fascism, take note - they will be the sympathizers or the first to murder you for food - sell you out for a block of cheese and loaf of bread because they are to incompetent to survive without a boot to lick.

At least you have a curiosity about authority (rather than simply following it). Exploring one's relationship to authority is what's at stake for everyone, lol.
The people you don't like operate on a level of abstraction that might not be condusive to self preservation. Abstract freedom versus concrete freedom (?not sure)They might be more interested in structures than systems. At the same time high iq people score higher on altruism. Is altruism a luxury belief? Higher iq people also score higher in altruism than most christians btw. Those two characteristics , high altruism and a tendency toward abstraction. don't translate well to public policy sometimes. Here in Portland a third of the people are communists, a third are fascists and the rest are lawyers. Who wants to live in a place like that?

Serious question. How did this guest get into an Ivy League school? I thought those schools had ridiculously high requirements/standards? I didnt think they would even look at someone with less than like a 4.0 gpa?
I think he's awesome btw, just didn't think an Ivy League school would even look at someone with a low GPA

My biggest critique of Bitcoin is that it doesn't solve for the wealth inequality gap. Its not truly money for the people because rich Europeans, financial institutions, and governments will continue to own a disproportionate amount of Bitcoin. Seems like the haves will own Bitcoin and the havenots will own Worldcoin or some other Universal basic income coin.

If they price Bitcoin in sats people wouldn’t think it’s out of reach for the poor. It’s honest money. The rules apply equally to everyone. That’s why it’s the money of the people.

That’s not the point of it. The point is that it is decentralized. Even if some random entity that owns all of the Bitcoin spreads it out to everyone in the world, it would soon be back in the hands of the rich people. They are rich for a reason, because people give them their currency for their products or services. The type of currency has nothing to do with that.
Even if they own most of it and store it off to the side somewhere, that would just make the value of the rest of the coins go up because they would be more rare.

Nope, not so. Anyone who chooses to buy it can. It won't be the haves vs the have not's regarding Bitcoin, it will be those who bothered to look into it or those who were smart enough to look into it vs those who didn't or weren't.
It will come down to those who recognized the value of it, regardless of their economic status.
