Lil known fact: NBC producers, obviously taken by the film, "Singles", approached Cameron Crowe about bringing the film to television as a series. Cameron passed, as we was not interested, but NBC execs loved the concept so much, that character names were changed and the Seattle backdrop was relocated to east coast New York, and "Friends" was born.
Chris Cornell has been gone 6 years ago today and I'm still struggling with it. He was special in so many ways. His voice, his looks, his kind soul and gentle nature. He is missed by so many. He was one of a kind and we are so lucky to have lived in the time of a musical genius like him. May he rest in paradise. He will never be forgotten. "No one sings like you anymore."
I got up that morning, grabbed my coffee and turned on my computer. It was the first story that popped up and I BURST into tears. I just couldn't believe it. I'm 68 and my kids grew up in the 90's so this type of music is all we listened to. He was one of the few I thought would be around forever - great marriage, great kids, great career, drug use no longer an issue - just had what seemed like an idyllic life. We all knew other singers that we knew probably wouldn't make it - like Layne, Kurt and Scott - but losing Chris never seemed possible. Loved and missed by many.
Honestly....i was listening to every other song but Seasons on his death day....just getting to this. R.I.P. you are missed Brother. "Should I be beside myself, and not even stay?"❤ Love you Chris!
I grew up in the 70s. Music is my oxygen. I listened to so many different artists. Chris hit me, hard. He was a humble, intelligent, spiritual man. He put his heart and soul into everything. Phenominal vocalist, his voice is like a finely tuned melodic instrument that can adjust from pain to softness and screams. His lyrics are poetry he feels. Lyrics that can be interpreted by a listener in many ways. The music...oh the music. I get goosebumps from it always. I was raising kids in the late 80s early 90s. I've been catching up for years. My heart is broken he is no longer here. I've lost many musical heroes over the decades. His crushes me.

The only other celebrity I shed tears for was Robin Williams his passing was also like losing a family member. They both touched my soul in a way nobody else has. They are missed deeply. I hope to say hello to both one day.
Dear Mr Cornell, My best friend texted me this early this morning on my way to work. Said that you had died! I was in disbelief. I started thinking about are the moments in my life when your music was present. So many memories, good and bad. I will not pretend to know what you were going through, but I am sorry you were in pain. I hope you are not anymore. I have decided to swallow my pride and seek counseling for my depression. I feel like I am a functioning depressive person. Just going thru the motions of my life. None of which seems to bring any real joy, when it should. I have a lot to be grateful for, and I am but I just feel like I am numb to,it all, why? All the while my daughter is growing up so fast, already 8! I showed her the video of you and your daughter singing, she thought it was awesome! I want to be here for her, to see her grow up, see if she turns out to be good, kind person. So I have to see if I can deal with this, I did try once, even though it was a half-ass attempt. I was playing Say Hello to Heaven, over and over. The same friend that texted me today, found me then. After all was said and done I felt so embarrassed. Well, enough. Time to get busy living. We will miss you Chris, may God bless you and keep you.
David G beautifully written! There's no shame in getting help with that kind of situation. It's definitely better to realize that you have the issue now than never. As you can see by the loss of Chris, it affects so many people when someone so amazing takes their own life. As a recovering alcoholic, I've heard about many people over the years resorting to suicide because of that state of hopelessness. I've been suicidal myself. But I'd also like to tell you that this is the only life we have, and no matter whether it's depression, drug abuse, alcoholism, etc., these conditions can be overcome. I pray that you find the healing you need. God bless and be well!
i will be forever grateful for your comment, it helped me realize for what i really am for so long, a family man who is also a functioning depressive person. but just like you said, it's time to get busy living. and just like Kurt Cobain, i will forever miss Chris.

Hey man, feel you on that. But I found the joy in it again, you find it too!
I have these same emotions when I hear him...but love his voice!
Damn. It's hard watching him knowing he's gone. One of my favorite songs by one of my favorite singers.
Why take Chris Cornell away from us? I'll never understand why I can not stand losing his presence, voice, aura, sense of love for lifting our spirits ...
Its such a weird feeling, missing someone you never knew. But i did know him through his art. His lyrics, his stain on my soul will forever be there. ❤
Yes I agree, I never met him but I feel connected to him when I listen to him sing,I believe he's in heaven now
His voice- always have a away to make me tremble.. always a message to me.... RIP you beautiful soul... say hello to my son when you see him!
Visited his grave today to pay my respect. Sad
one of the last thing I did before I unfortunately had to move from LA was go to the Hollywood Cemetery to pay my respects to Mr. Cornell. It was a happy and sad event. There was absolutely no one better than Cornell from the 90's.

+Paul Murphy feel the same
He is an absolute demi-god of a singer and Poet.
Probably one of his GREATEST songs. So deep! Luckily, we get to listen to all of his work, any time we want to! Always remembered! Always revered!
I have forgotten much of my life, but I'll never forget the moment I heard you passed. R.I.P.
Dio said he is one of the best vocalists. And Dio's favorite
He did!! When I met Dio, I asked him if he favored any of our younger generations music. He said he liked the Seattle musicians and admired their honesty in their lyrics. He said Chris Cornell is one of his favorites. I miss Dio. He was the sweetest little man with a voice of a God. You could sit and talk with Ronnie like he was your friend for year's. It was an honor meeting him.
+Kat Hamilton (Zepluv) That is so damn awesome!! you also posted this comment on my birthday.

I care and I'm sorry you're feeling down
Get over yourself. Trying to manipulate people’s emotions for likes. Sad as F.
I do ❤️
I’m still heartbroken. 💔
I've been lost and lonely since 2008, but I've never been closer to God in my life! You are not alone! God still loves you and so do I! May He come into your life and bless you!❤

The whole spirit of 90s Seattle in a song. My personal Chris Cornell favorite.
Some music is magic, goes down deep inside and touches your soul. This is one of those jams. RIP Chris, I’m sorry you felt so much pain and hope you are free.
Losing Chris was one sad day for the rock world. Miss his music every day
The seasons roll on by but you'll never be lost behind. You'll be missed forever
Really having trouble processing this. Every note that amazing, amazing voice sings churns up another memory from my youth and i'm not even trying not to cry. Sing on, man, sing hard and sing long - you had an incredible gift, i hope you know how many hearts you touched, mate. \m/,
My feelings exactly
littlesth0b0 right there with you
❤️
I love this version. It's so clean! Drums are amazing. Rip!
I was just thinking how much more I like this version than the one on the album.
All this time has gone by and I still cannot hear Seasons without getting choked up. I'm typing through tears right now. It's like he could see into the soul of those who struggled emotionally. He gave a voice to those who could not find the right words.
My favorite voice in rock and roll. RIP Chris Cornell. This world is missing you!
RIP...LOVE YOU CHRIS..

There is no life without music 🎶🎶
Cornelis one of the most influential artist going through strange part of my life and his music gets me through it
Ahhh...we will all be gone from this Earth one day, but TRULY amazing human beings leave us with something remarkable: Their talent. He's not here, but he's with US all, always. And that makes me happy and it makes my soul shine. I can't help but think of a line from one of my all time movies when I think of Chris. " A light that shines twice as bright burns half as long ... And what a bright light you have been."
Perfection as always! Say hello to Heaven Chris Cornell RIP! Now I really feel like I outlived good music! ! I will miss seeing your performances and all your tributes to your friends that went on to Rock in peace , you'll join them now ! What a concert I can hopefully see one one day !

What a sick song. Everytime I hear it; once that drum really picks up, it's on. This guy is my favourite and he is missed.
This is my favorite version of Seasons, the drums coming to life really make it!
Such an amazing talent we have lost. Amazing vocalist, songwriter, performer, and a really genuinely nice person. His Friends all comment about what a good guy he was. You are so missed! ❤️
For me it will be always be Man of Steel Chris Cornell Song
Chris's voice is dreamy and deep pulling from his fans every emotion which he touches. Love transcendent.

Chris would have been 58 today . Unique legend flying above the stars . Rip brother 🤘
Cornell def hit me the hardest. Such a unique voice that spoke to me.
Many artists I've admired have passed over the years. Cornell is the only one that still stings like it was yesterday.
Chris is my all time favorite singer. I have been dreaming of him lately. We talk in the dreams like we have known each other for years! He's definitely missed, but it's great to see him in my dreams and talk to him. Eventhough it's never really about anything. R.I.P Chris.. and happy birthday today! ❤
an absolute legend in every sense of the word, rest in peace
