I had a very similar day when I heard the Infinity IRS in a big room, many years ago in the early 1990s. It was such a different level, and changed my expectation of what was possible. I had the pleasure to hear quite a bit of music. Still very vivid in my mind.

Hi. I heard something simulair "home build" speaker horn system, with multiple crosovers, super tweeter and subs, with 26" drivers and so forth. Multiple mono amps, used for both subs and mids and highs.
That exsperience was also life changing, and was resently.
Never felt such a live exsperience on an Audiophile set-up.

Beautiful looking speakers.. I love it when the function of the design overrides the visual. Also loved your comment about your listening to them being a “lifetime experience”. I think that’s so important to keep in mind, otherwise we’d all be broke!

Really interesting. I also love to listen to cost-no-object systems from time to time, just to see and experience what is possible. There is another German manufacturer in the region who has been around for decades and impresses me in this regard, and that is Acapella from Duisburg. Their big horn systems are really something. But one does not just have to be able to afford them, one also needs the space at home as they are huge.

@@uncleschwartz_2319 I suppose they sound a bit different to Michael’s speakers due to the fact that they contain a midrange horn system and a bigger bass department. The challenge in a speaker like this is to get the horn seamlessly connected with the other conventional drivers. But ‚Einstein Audio Components“ - as I know them - probably nailed it.

    Dig it!
    An 𝘼𝙪𝙜𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙈𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙤𝙧 approach.
This platform; somewhat of a two-way, controlled directivity monitor, augmented top and bottom, when well executed is simply a superb, time tested platform for hifi playback at realistic levels with low distortion.
The two-way utilizing ample LF driver size yields both pattern control thru the cross to the waveguided HF, and adequately high sensitivity to recreate the power and excitement of a live event.
Big diameter, long stroke, high'ish inductance woofers shouldn't play a role in any loudspeaker design.
On the contrary, here in the Monolith's sub it appears as if it's a low inductance, higher sensitivity pro audio woofer... typically of modest yet well controlled stroke.
I'd only be speculating on the super-tweeter, but a quality ribbon covering the top octaves, oftentimes delivers just the right experience supplementing the entire wide-band balance.
Can't find much info on this Monolith monster, however it's fun to speculate.
Once you experience the nuance and dynamics of a system capable of realistic playback levels cleanly, it's like a drug ... things aren't the same without it.
The visceral sensory element is powerful stuff.
(that said, the same drug like effect can be said for a killer dipole rig, throwing up a spectacular, three dimensional soundstage)
    Yep, it's certainly fun speculating.
