DEBUT, el primer disco en solitario de Bjork (si no contamos el que grabó con once añitos, claro) fue todo un acontecimiento musical; aclamado por crítica y público, la consiguiente gira nos la trajo por estos pagos. Gracias al EGM de C+, por aquellos tiempos disfrutábamos de estas entrevistas un tanto informales donde se buscaba no tanto la profundidad de las preguntas, sino la espontaneidad de los artistas que pasaban por la terraza de los 40, en plena Gran Vía madrileña (al fondo se distinguen las Torres de Colón).
Ni que decir tiene que Bjork está guapísima, parte de su éxito siempre estuvo en su atractivo y exótico encanto, algo que no era una novedad para los que la seguíamos al frente de The Sugarcubes, cuyo 1º Lp sigue siendo un disco de referencia al que volver cada cierto tiempo.

Her comment at 1:20 is so interesting to me because this is years before "hunter" came out and she uses the same metaphor as that song. I've noticed with a lot of these musical auteurs that they have a lot of recurring thoughts and ideas they use in their songs or just whenever they open their mouths. Elliott Smith is someone else who has a lot of motifs in his lyrics and music that I've noticed after getting real into his stuff. Same with Bjork.

J'avais enregistré la moitié de l'album avant de connaitre Nelle Hooper. Et ça me plait de travailler ainsi.
Nelle est génial et nous travaillons tous les deux de façon très naturellement, très... unis.

Toute ma bande est différente : non seulement nous venons de pays différents, nous avons des origines musicales différentes.
Ça me plait beaucoup. Il y a des gens dans le jazz... ehhh... il y en a dans la musique dance et dans la musique ethnique/world.
Parce que je suis trop agitée pour rester avec une seule chose, je veux tout essayer.

Pour l'instant, je ne sais pas encore avec qui sera mon prochain disque, c'est un truc que je dois voir.
Tout dépendra du genre musical de la fin... du style.
Parce que j'ai rencontré beaucoup de gens l'année passée avec qui j'aimerais travailler. Et ils viennent tous d'horizons musicaux différents. Ca dépendra de la direction que je prendrai... les gens avec qui je travaillerai.

Les hommes n'ont jamais eu à se préoccuper d'autre chose que d'être plus bêtes, plus gros, plus drôles, plus intelligents, plus forts, plus sensuels, plusieurs autres choses et plus philosophiques aussi. Mais pour les femmes il faut toujours être plus féminines, féminines, féminines.
Ce qui me plait dernièrement c'est pas que ce soit "l'ère des femmes", je pense que c'est de la merde.
J'aimerais juste voir des femmes qui peuvent être des personnages, être elles-mêmes. En premier, second, troisième plan être autre chose et en dixième lieu, être des femmes, de la même manière que tu es espagnole et moi islandaise.

I am so sad she lost this accent over the years.
It's great that she just wants women to be respected for what they do. Without the identity politics that too often comes into play nowadays. She is a successful artist who happens to be a woman. She doesn't sound like she buys into the mantra of western feminism to me. I may be wrong but if anyone knows of any other comments she has made I would be interested to hear them as I do enjoy her music and respect her as an artist. She is successful because she is tallented and put in the hard work. Too many people nowadays seem to think that just by being born into the world you are owed stuff. Hard work and sacrifice is what gets you stuff in this world. We don't all deserve equality of outcome. Equaility of opporunity yes. The qualities of the individual are what matters, not what `group' you belong to.

Bueno, han pasado 25 años desde aquella entrevista, debió perder el acento durante todos esos años
@@huhuhuhurricanestreamwow7937 Ella es Islandesa, su acento no es británico es Islandes, ya que ellos sobre pronuncian mucho algunas letras, por qué su abecedario es distinto, el acento británico es muy diferente.
