- In this tutorial, I will give you step by step instructions on this DIY upcycle/recycle project by painting this cool and fun dot art design on an old wine bottle. Using ONLY a TOOTHPICK, a Q-TIP, AND PENCIL ERASERS as your handmade tools. This is a super cute & EASY design. Take your mind away from stressors, one dot at a time. Make this unique gift for a friend or to decorate your place with.

So good to see bright colors. It is really fascinating. And we can try the same pattern on a transparent glass bottle with glass paint and then put some fairy lights inside. It will look so beautiful when you turn of the lights of the room and keep the fairy lights on.
I made this bottle project and it came out so nice! I used Deco Art multi surface paints but for one. I noticed it after the fact . The paint is Folk Art Outdoor paint. Hope I didn't ruin this project. I won't bake it but instead air cure it for a few weeks. Hope that works! Love your designs and YT's Lydia!

I have never tried anything like this before. I've always considered myself the least artistic or creative person other than expressing that with my appearance. I have always been jealous of people with such amazing imagination and creativity who are also able to make that into a project. Now that I'm housebound due to chronic illness, I need something I can do other than watch TV or surf the internet, although finding this kind of stuff is worth every minute on TH-cam! I'm hoping to be able to make my first dot project with my 75 year old mom who I don't get to see very much. I think I'll start with a rock and maybe one day all the rocks that line my porch will be a colorful collection of dots! You really make it look easy which I have my doubts about! This bottle was amazing! How were you able to handle it without smudging the paint? Does it dry that quickly? I'm sure the video was sped up a bit but I wonder if you have to let each row or two dry before moving on? Thank you for sharing this. Painting has always interested me and this is definitely something I know I can do that I don't have to come up with some grand idea for. (BTW, don't tell, but after the first couple videos I watched of yours, I collected the best and the biggest rocks from a couple of my neighbors. They haven't noticed and I'm sure they won't!)
I meant to mention it but yes, it was not the easiest project, mostly due to me having to handle it a lot for the camera. It should go more smoothly for someone just having it sit and spin in one place. Letting every few rows dry is a fine idea. Enjoy your time painting with mom. I'd love to see what you create!

Love this. Question: using regular acrylic paint, will spraying acrylic sealer, generally used on ceramics, keep the paint from washing off.

Beautiful art Lydia. I have a question. If i spray paint the bottle first with frosted glass spray paint, and then do dot painting with multi surface acrylic paint, can i still cure it oven? I mean is the frosted glass paint base coat is oven safe?
