I watched this a long time ago and chuckled a bit. Almost two decades later and having a toddler, this is some genius-level acting and writing right here. TBH it's not even an exaggeration
I haven't even finished watching it and I just wanted to say Will Farrell is an outstanding actor. The way he has transformed himself into a baby is flawless. Any parent watching this video would know.
And children crying like this HATE IT if you can't help it but you laugh at their ridiculousness. That could add another fun and hilarious crying reaction to a skit like this too!
@@eharper7 itsxa terrible feeling, I made a fool out of myself. One time I had to do a mock interview with this red headed white faced guy, well he was real nervous too, so when he was the interviewer, the speech had to be more than 2 or 3 minutes long, our little interview was way shorter than that, so he started asking the same questions again, I started laughing tried to hold it in, and his white face turned red blush, he started laughing, that was the end of it, people started laughing, I think we got a "D" that's the grading scale back in 80s, I had an F grade throughout the whole class semester for speech
Ray Romano was one of the funniest guests on SNL ever. You see some of these guests sometimes and you realize it's a shame they didn't get to be feature players. He would've been fantastic
"Why didn't you prepare a presentation?" "I didn't want to!" "Okay, fine I'll do it" "No I wanna give it!" "Well then stand up and give the presentation!" "I DONT LIKE YOU!" perfectly captures the logic of a child throwing a tantrum
I'd just like to say that whether you're a child or adult, juice boxes will never NOT make you feel better after a meltdown. After you're done crying and freaking out, you're dehydrated. 🤣
The new snl cast needs to take lessons. These guys are actually looking at each other while talking, instead of staring at a teleprompter the whole time. Makes a world of difference
Ferrel is a masterwork of the type of comedy that is making an ass of yourself. I only hope to be like him someday. It's even funnier because when I was younger, that was EXACTLY how my tantrums sounded.
I've never seen a snl skit with Will. I always thought "oh yeah Wills super funny but they can't be better than the newer skits" boy was I wrong! These are way funnier😂
I swear he is spot on! Thats EXACTLY how some kids cry and act...hilarious!
jssangel416 lol, for real. Unfortunately, it’s how a lot of adults act today also
@Daniel Treadwell totally liberals LOL
"I want that lady to leave-I don't like her"
Kids? Lol adults are fucking idiots too
Daniel Treadwell Lol always 1 republican bitch crying.
Totally true so hilarious and sweet he and his wife and three boys are lovely
I'm a salesman. I'm going to use this technique exclusively from now on.
Hahahaha I'd pay money to see that!
Have fun either being Will Ferrel or getting fired.

Underrated line there.
Is it me or does it make the show better that the cast doesn’t have their eyes staring at cue cards the whole time??
That and this sketch actually includes well written and performed comedy
@@jamesnoble8205 Little details like the "exploit, now sound it out" don't seem possible with skits so dependent on cue cards.
The eyes moving back and forth as they read, is sooooo distracting.
I know, that kills the new snl shit for me, breaks the fourth wall completely, if u cant do live just pre-tape it cause nobody cares anyway.
Loads better!
How I felt during college assignments
Ferrell is amazing at being a child
Yeah. That was spot on.
Will Ferrell is a m f’ing legend 🎤 drop
NO! I WANNA DO IT! 😭😭😭
I’ve always admired him as an actor. I never knew I could also appreciate him as a child actor.
Watch his audition for SNL. He also does a great cat. Lol.
I think I just found a new approach In my marketing techniques .
This is just gold
I love how the juice box already had the straw in it lol As if he came prepared for this meltdown
He did, it was a sales pitch
"C'mon, let's go get a lap dance" is probably the best closing line to end the sketch with. It landed perfectly lol
"This has happened before."
I also want a juice box.
Playan1982 me too

Buddy the Elf makes the sale.

Wow. An amazing sketch where no one breaks characters. Ferrell was a genius.
Will Ferrell's finest.
I imagine that Will came up with some of these ideas himself?
It's so cool cause it makes you realise how funny it is, even when kids do it.

Not to mention that all of the new ones are political as #$&!

This is truly genius acting by everyone involved.
Takes some real talent to pull that off.
I think is what is really amazing here is that Will Ferrell basically had to carry this entire skit by himself. And he did.

why was it necessary for Tim Meadows to have a hair piece for this skit?
Michael Weston god and his head looked just gigantic
lolllll I was wondering the same

It takes a lot of courage to see through a lot of Will's stuff. No wonder he became such a solid actor
We needed Will Ferrell at this level last night iah
