At a gourmet buffet you should not have to slather your beef in gravy to make it eatable and the food should be hot and fresh, not cold. Thanks for the honest review Matthew.

I've been there twice and I've had an excellent experience both times. Everything was tasty and warm, however I do agree with you and others that it's not really gourmet not and worth the $30-$50+ dollars. Interesting review 👍🏼

I have a question about your hoodie, you have the black object that would prevent the stings from disappearing in the hood, where did you get those or did they come with the Hoodie. Wow. Truth is, I don't like buffets...period. I'd rather be served what I want, cooked and served as ordered. If it's not right, send it back. Buffets always remind me of left-overs. Thanks Matthew for another informative video!

I would of ate off the strip and save lots of money. Renting a car in Vegas is worth it to explore other places in Clark County where you can even have a different experience at casinos off the strip.

I stayed at the MGM Grand three years in a row for CES. I ate at the buffet the first time I ever stayed there, and that was the last time. It was like a time warp into 1993. With so many great places to eat around there, why pay $30+ for microwaved, leftover food?

Agreed about Mgm Grand Buffet being one of the worst. We also really didn't think The Palms was very good recently. But the worst we ever had was at Railroad Pass out by Hoover Dam!
You definitely wouldn’t think that MGM would be the worst, but I believe it! I worked in the food court there for 2 years, and their employees would pay to eat there than their FREE meal in the dining room. They said that the food SUCKED ! 😬
Being old and on social security makes this buffet look outstanding......I couldn't afford it anyway, but the price isn't bad either when you have all that food to devour and all those choices of entrees that I normally wouldn't be able to eat in one day.....I really like the variety and don't mind the quality being a little less perfect......NICE job anyway MATTHEW....

I think the one at the Aria is the best for Mlife resorts and Le Village at the Paris for Caesars. Personally not a fan of the Bellagio buffet due to price and never tried the one at Caesars.

ive lived in vegas since '93 and have eaten everywhere and unfortunately, most buffets here in vegas are exactly the same as this. the only exceptions are the high priced ones like Bellagio or Caesars. also, the casino from "Vegs Vacation" was the Klondike, which has been closed for years now. i used to play .10 cent roulette there all the time (yes, each chip was .10 cents lol). and yes, just like in the movie, there actually was (and still is in some casinos) a War table game lol.
it a shame that a $12.99 golden corral buffet is better than a high class hotel buffet.. had the $39.99 brunch buffet at Rio new years day. i should have walk over to gold coast for $9.99
What a sorry excuse for a buffet. I stayed at MGM Grand years ago and was extremely disappointed with everything. I used to make a ritual of making my first stop on day one lunch at Emeril's there, but I stopped after getting a horrible po boy (their lobster bisque is outstanding, though). MGM is huge in size, but not one of the best Strip hotels.
I agree with you about this buffet, it used be okay a few years ago when I first tried it. Last couple times I went were so disappointing, everything tasted pre-packaged and mushy. Nothing seemed to be made from scratch. A lot of the food was cold too when I had it.
Walk in, look around, if the place is empty, turn around and leave. Like the old days with coin slots, walk in and listen, if you don't hear the clank of coins, leave!!!
The first time I ate at mgm buffet 3 years ago...I got incredibly sick, and it totally wasted my last day there. Last March we ate there again, I avoided what I thought made me sick, my friend went to town on the turkey...he was violently ill for a day and a half. NEVER EVER.....EVER eat the MGM buffet!
Believe it or not, I actually ate better than this when I was in the hospital. It was a standard University hospital but they had all day menus, everything was cooked to order whenever you like, and they even grow a lot of their produce on the hospital grounds! I was honestly impressed. And the food looked a lot better than what they served you at MGM!
You know as I watched you ponder on what delights to have from that smorgasbord of culinary delights I reckon just a quality few slices of freshly toasted warm bread with a little pot of quality butter can sometimes just hit the spot with a nice cup of English tea or a Cappuccino to wash it down... I bet I'm not the only one who thinks less is more.... Quality ingredients done well is all good... 👌👍😉
They need to close that buffet. Who eats like that anymore just put a restaurant that makes bacon eggs and toast and a nice donut from the donut bar for dessert!
If you think MGM is the worst buffet, head to the north end of the Strip and try Circus Circus. Guaranteed to be ten times worse. It ranks with some of the worst oldies but baddies like the Boardwalk midnight Surf Buffet or the Imperial Palace Pharaoh's Buffet.
I think to compare with the other buffet, just average but you can’t compare bacchanal buffet or similar either ( aria, bellagio, wynn) because prices way different. I think bot that bad

That chicken ham thing is Cordon bleu and it looks like crap. I hate it when someone takes this beautiful classic French dish and makes it look like a Hot Pocket. That whole buffet looked barely eatable. Thanks for enduring this for us man.
The only buffet you should eat in Vegas is the Bacchanal buffet at Caesars. It has everything and is set to high standard. Everywhere else sadly is a waste of money.

That stuffed chicked is called chicken cordon blue. U can buy them every where in US in frozen food section. So look good and cheap easy meal. Pretty cheap, good to have on hand for day u 4got to thaw meat, or don`t feel like cooking. U can even micro. Better baked though.
The food isn't bad if you weren't in Las Vegas. If I had to choose between that buffet and a JJ Norths commercial chain buffet, I'm choosing JJ Norths.
Well I have to agree with you Matthew. I eaten at a lot of buffets and MGM Grand has been the worse buffet I had eaten at. I really expected a lot more out of MGM Grand and it really, really was a big disappointment. The positive note about the buffet was I eat there for free.
When you consider a dinner buffet at Wynn, Bellagio, Cosmopolitan, and Caesars are roughly 20 or so dollars more, yeah.....that's really disappointing MGM

I’m surprised their buffet has gone down in quality. That’s the only buffet I’ve been to in Vegas so far. You might as well go to Golden Corral

The worst buffet I had in Las Vegas was at The Wynn just last October! It is never that good, but this time, it was downright terrible!
That made excalibur buffet look amazing!!! Definitely not your normal fancy feast.

Wynn was 82.99 when I went. And wasn't even that impressed by it.
This is the only buffet on the MyVegas app that isn't 2-for-one and doesn't require a 1-night minimum stay. Figures.
