Odisha Police reform is urgently required. All Police officers ASI, SI of Thana should have 08 hours duty and 24 hours alert like other dept. But in Thana, all the officers are working more than 12 hours. I m dumbfounded that the officers do not have a weekly rest day like other dept and private employees. Civil rights like CL, EL is not easily available through today's offline process. Online leave application in HRMS is buldozed for police though it is well functioning in other dept. like railway, income tax etc. When the fundamental rights are encroached by the Dept. administered by the CM Sir himself, no body is dare to ask for such fundamental rights for police officers. This unhealthy atmosphere in Thana makes the police officers rude and psycho. This is the root cause of police not delivering proper justice. The file on sepation of Law & order and Investigation is red-taped by previous CM sir for last 24 years. Recruitment of police and other personnel in the state is highly corrupted. Everybody was silent on previous govt loophole. Now kindly dare to ask the new CM sir when he is going to reform police from British colonial working style.
