We still here in 2024 Ms Barbara!
BOSS LADY doin' her thing!
This woman is a living legend!
Just an ordinary neighborhood, cars passing outside while she's singing this, picking up their kids or something, while this golden voice is just pouring pure gold out into the neighborhood. At least , thanks to her, the band, and this video, I got a chance to hear it again. Like good wine, her voice has even gotten better with time. One of my favorite oldies.
🎉A great song
😢😮😮
The folks living in that yellow house behind the stage are lucky as hell. 🦋🎼
Wow
Got that right!!!!
Great song by an underrated musician.
That's what you don't see now.. A black sista (let alone left-handed) that plays a guitar... And could sing.. Thank you Barbara Lynn!!!
Okay I haven't heard of you before now (WHY??) but Miss Barbara, you kick some blues ass and I LOVE YOU!
38 weeks at number 1. What a glorious accomplishment.
She’s like lightning on that stage!
We love ya, Barbara ❤👍👍👍
Barbara My son is left handed playing his guitar, I do admire you. I am your fan from a young lady ❤❤❤❤
Wow!! I love this song . She still sound awesome. I miss the jams like this. I only listen to 60 & 70 when music was real❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
You got that right, Cevia!
Guess that I'm a tad bit older than you bcuz I listen to the 50s oldies, too! Now those are the best: Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Fats Domino, Johnny Otis and groups too many to mention were in their prime up to the 80s and 90s. You might want to listen to some from the 40s, too. Howlin' Wolf was in his prime. What TH-cam doesn't have, Pandora might. Look them up and discover the music that gave R&B and R&R their start. And BTW, it wasn't Elvis! He was simply imitating. 🎸🎷🎹🎙️
Great soul music. Glad to have come across.
Thanks for listening
I had no Idea she was the Original singer of this song that I saw her singing on "The Beat",while, playing a guitar in a 60's, video...I guess the guitar threw me off... It was unexpected.... Wow!
Girl can play and sing. They sure as hell don't make songs like this anymore. Great song.
Barbara Lynn makes us proud and happy
I’m Only 57 today and I Can Truly Say I Love This Music. It’s Rare to Hear Good Music Like This Now Days...

I'm the same age here and my mom used to this music in the house all the time. I appreciate it more now as I remember it being played back then. Barbara has an amazing sweet voice. BTW Sharon if that pic of your is reflective as to how you look today that lookin good girl. 😉
Now why cant i play the guitar like that?? Great song, shes something special ❤️
Damn. she is real life talented good. Her band support is exemplary. Even a horn to add some quiet brass undertone. Wow.
Simply beautiful.
I'm groovin' on this
Yess Madame Barberalynn
You inspired me to keep playing guitar
The first time I saw this woman strumming left handed guitar on stage
❤
This woman is awesome! Never heard of her but she can get down. It is unfortunate America has not produced any musicians like her, and others, in a while. You just dont see women like her rocking out on the guitar like back in the day. Should have more.
Still sounds wonderful!
Always loved the line, “jus’ try it, daddy.”
My husband and I have loved this song for sooo long. Been together 23 years! Great job at the live version. Best song ever!
I'm sure I'm not the only one who's happy for both of you!
I so LOVE Barbara Lynn...she is one of the greatest ever!
Wow..What a clip ..What a woman..
Sing it sister!
Here in 2021, never wanting to lose this good thing.
Close my eyes & I'm back in the 60"s----soooo nice!
Tears stream down as I remember watching my mom smile at me when I'd put this song on full blast while on my karaoke 🎤❤️❤️❤️😭😘😘😘😘. Love THIS
Great Piece of work
one of the best songs ever! and she OWNS it! Love her
I was so young then but....I am just remembering how wonderful she sang! I couldn't even remember all of the lyrics but I HAD TO SEARCH UNTIL I GOT IT! FANTASTIC...must have original!!!!❤
The drummer having the time of his life--his smile says it all!
What an amazing woman, what a swing, what a spectacle, my God! Gorgeous!!🎶👏🏻🤟🏾🎤🎸
This record was a popular "make out" song in the Midwest. I must've heard it on WLS Chicago. I remember it well and had the single even though I was not old enough to "make out". I thought it was cool. Can't quite remember the label although I think it was red. This lady's got a lot of spirit and charm.
Oh yeah just turned 63 remembering all the music i share with my kid's. something to remember mama when i get my calling card to go home.
The song is already making me emotional she is such a wonderful beautiful remarkable woman beautiful talented musician.❤️💎
Beautiful woman, beautiful song..💜

Barbara Lynn .... she's one special lady.
Happy Birthday 🎂 Barbara
She is sad happy magic good. A life lesson touched good and hard from her guitar. And her heart. Man I am stuck on her. And this group supporting her is excellent in their own right. This song was breaking my heart fifty years ago.
yes 🥹❤️🔥
Now this is the type of randomly selected video by TH-cam that I like.
Thanks, Miss Lynn! I listen to this record all the time! You're still wonderful & lovely!
This might have been her best 'You'll Lose a Good Thing". I listened to her thirty years ago on a Dallas, TX radio station. Gut and heart touching. The band support is clean good. This is her gig and she is precious...band is touching it up just right.
Beautiful song and she's still so talented for all these years...love you Barbara
I'm upset. Music has been a huge part of my life since childhood. Why am I just now learning about this amazing lady?
Oh wow she's fantastic go back and try to get as much of her music and just soak it in. I love her, my mom played some Barbara Lynn every day. Can you believe that she g a very me Lynn as my middle name. Good listening ~ Peace
Because you stayed with the mainstream instead of branching out.
@@1961starr49 That's the punchline to the funniest joke I've ever heard. Not even close to mainstream! Top 40 was only played in the car if friends were along.
Me Too
And that’s how it’s done! Beautiful, absolutely beautiful
Great song and great singer - I didn’t realize that she wrote it. Talent like this doesn’t exist in today’s young “musicians”.
Damn, okay, my last comment...this group backing her is exemplary.
100% - they know their stuff!
yes they are!!!
Such vibe. Wish i was there
2024. Good ol' school. Barbara Flynn takes us to school. And she is amazing.
There are 77 people out there with very poor thumb control! This is a super sweet tune! Barbara Lynn is a sensational singer and guitarist!😀 Thank you for putting this on TH-cam!!!

It's great seeing her still at it.
One of the members of female giants. Thank you

Hey Barbara, we attended the Grammys together 90's. Miss you!!
She still has her very individual strumming style. It is visible way back in her early work.
Just found her in my TH-cam list. What a treasure👏🏿💕
I love it!!!
She said "...that one particular song keeps her working."
Oh yes indeed, she is a sweet, sweet inspiration

I enjoyed too much seeing dear Barbara Lynn. Thanks for your marvellows voice and music.
All those young musicians are really diggin' this.
I don't know... they don't look very young to me.
ALWAYS LOVED this song!
GREAT VOICE AND PLAYING TALENT ,BEAUTIFUL ! 🎸👑
Fantastic song by a criminally unappreciated (by the masses) woman. And what a gorgeous guitar she has there..
Yea and it would have been ok if the guitar was tuned and the woman didn't have a tin ear......Ok, That was crawl and uncalled for......My Apologies
@Jonas Nydahl naw I still thinks it sucks, but i bet she was very talented at one time..
@Kenneth Liburd Maybe, but I think that's a stretch of an excuse.
@@rjmprod where's your video?
