Hi, thank you for your query. The app is called Resort World Cruises APP but you can only download when onboard. There are QR codes displayed on the screens where you just scan to access the app and download it. NO need to purchase wifi to use the app, but do ensure you are connected to the wifi onboard. Here's a tip, please turn your HP to airplane mode when onboard and connect to the free wifi to use the app. This will help prevent any accidental roaming charges that can be pretty expensive and unneccessary.
